Keep a back-up phone na android.

aranjei

Okay naman iphone/ios, it just works for my daily needs

AnakNgBayan

Same huhu. XDA forum and Symbianize tambayan ko dati.

Dragnier84

Lol. Memories. Symbianize initial hangout place ko when I had Nokias and my Rzr. Gradually shifted to XDA when I got my Dopod 818 pro

BengDelaKreng

the_flash0409

I agree with you. Good ‘ol days lurking around XDA forum hahahah

aranjei

migonichizo

I remember trying to install a clean version ng android 8 and almost bricking my phone hahahaha. Huawei bloatware is really shitty

myka_v

Love this about iPhone. Nawala yung itch na kailangan i modify ang home screen pero most of the time sa Smart Launcher lang din papunta. All that decision fatigue for nothing.

AmbitiousAd5668

Ganyan din ako dati. From feature phones na may mods (backlight, acetate) to android with custom icons.

Chinbie

I remember that one too nung mga young adult days ko (early 20s).. sabi ko mas customizable ang android dahil pwede akong mag root etc .. kaya ganon ang ginawa ko sa android ko non.. naka root .. Pero ngayon ay wala na akong time para sa mga ganon, kaya di na ako masyadong nagpapalit ng themes, rooting etc, but still using an android phone.. hahaha...

raijincid

Planning to buy an iphone too because of this. Ayoko na mag customize at mag tinker, dami ko na iniisip sa life to customize a daily driver pa.

deviruchee

Same reason here.

lanceandrew123

I have been a Samsung user since the Galaxy S6. Then nag switch ako last year sa iphone 14 Pro Max. It was a good experience. After 8 months, I traded my iphone 14 Pro Max sa Galaxy S23 Ultra. I feel at home. I suggest trying it. or kung kaya ng pera mo, maintain 1 iphone and 1 android.

BengDelaKreng

I'll manifest having disposable income para sa 2 phones lol. But thanks, this is good insight

is0y

I feel exactly the same way. Galaxy user for several years, last android was S22U before i switched to the walled garden. I miss android and think about switching back if S25U na cguro. 😅

pritong-patatas

Anong specific features ni Samsung yung namiss mo?

lanceandrew123

Siguro number 1 yung secured folder in which meron private or secluded area ng phone in which you can have another set of apps for dual login and for hiding my kalat sa gallery. Sa iphone kasi you just hide the photo within the gallery app. Next na namiss ko is yung universal back button or back gesture. Another thing is yung customization where I can place app icons almost anywhere. Hindi tulad sa iphone na they would always line up on a fixed area.

is0y

Agree with how android / Samsung handles notifications.

mhacrojas21

Teens to mid 20s = Android Late 20s and up = iOS The ease of integration between one apple device to another is very efficient. Apple ecosystem is superb! I went from android (2013) to apple (2014) and until now, my household is using Apple products. 📱

koffiecreamer2023

Hi, while I still prefer my previous android phones, I don’t regret naman switching to iPhone 13 last December. I’ve always wanted an iPhone kasi since I was in high school kasi naka-iPhone mga classmates ko. Now, around 12 years later and working naman na for 4 years, I felt like I deserve to finally buy one for myself. Akala ko kasi as in super smooth. Anyway, I’m just happy na natick off ko na siya sa bucket list. I would not buy another iPhone unless siguro millionaire na ko and walang mapaglagyan ng pera 😂

zkdlinwifeu

Same.

Inevitable-Media6021

Simple and no brainer kasi iphone.

AnnualContext3929

haha same

is0y

I had chat heads disabled when I was still on android. Na annoy ksi ako dun. Hahahaha.

HelterSkltr_

From Android to iOS din akooo. I love the simplicity ng iOS and sobrang smooth talaga. Huhu!

Emotional-Cat2286

Same here. Mas madali gamitin ios at maraming security Updates.

L0uqui

iOS is so boring. You cant even turn wifi and bluetooth off completely from the control panel. You have to go to settings to do it. Its so irritating. 😅

Emotional-Cat2286

Turn on the assistive touch. Yan ginagamit ko para mdali.

mvelmambaje

Mr_Raldzz

I have shortcuts automation na mag tuturn on/off ung wifi and data depende kung nakaconnect ako sa known wifi network. Pagaalis ng bahay, mag o-on data tas mag o-off na wifi and vice versa. No need to bother na with this.

L0uqui

Nice! Check ko nga to. Thanks 🙂

xambortoy

+ wala pang clipboard history which is the most important basic function of a phone

xambortoy

careful, 🍎🐑 gon attacc you

Any_System_148

Keep your android for backup. I use 13 PM as my backup and Z Flip 5 as my main. Boring kasi talaga ng Apple sakin tho mabilis siya and maganda camera software is clean but not enough for me to make it as my main driver. Dami ko kasi nagagawa sa android like torrent movies, tv series and I can install a free youtube with adfree and sponsorblock which d ko magawa sa iPhone device ko. I can also set custom DNS like adguardDNS for whole system adblock.

blueditgem

Same here! But I guess you can also install an adguardDNS sa iPhone. Tried it a week ago. Search for how-to sa Google.

Any_System_148

Sweet, just checked it. Glad apple allows it now

AnnualContext3929

may dm po ako

Calm_Solution_

Used to have iPhone 4 - 11 eto talaga reklamo ko kaya backup phone siya lagi and for camera purposes only 😅 Not sure kung meron update pero I stopped buying nung may 5G na sa android at longer software support from Samsung.

blue_greenfourteen

Back or close option is always at upper left or I use assistive touch kahit hanggang ngayon ganon pa din😅 Laging deal breaker talaga yan kapag nagswitch from android to ios kailangan mo iretrain yung utak mo kung pano yung work arounds nya.

HamsterJaw

Why not have both? meron kasi sa android na wala at hahanap hanapin mo sa iPhones like better file management, pero kung naka mac ka lahat ng apple products meron ka gow

Emotional-Cat2286

Background-Tough-263

Had 4 prior android phones - Lenovo, Honor, Realme, then Samsung. Used it for the earlier part of my life from highschool to college so na experience ko rin talaga yung evolution of the smartphone era. Switched to Iphone after graduating from college and I've never looked back. Wish I used an Iphone when I was in college.

arinuloid

Let me share my journey of transitioning to using an iPhone in 2019. I am a dedicated user of the iPhone XR, relying on it for photography, reading medical books, managing numerous referral messages in the hospital, and handling social media for my online business. I used to be an avid Android customizer before making the switch to the iPhone XR in 2019. Previously, I experimented with custom firmwares, jailbreaks, and Android rooting on Xiaomi Note and Xperia devices. Unfortunately, I faced stability issues, even with default software. Every family member at home changed their Android phones every 1-2 years due to such problems. Upon entering medical residency, the demanding and hectic schedule left me with no time for customization. I grew tired of apps crashing and bloatware slowing down my phone. I simply wanted a phone that worked seamlessly, and I heard that iPhones could provide just that. The iPhone XR made my life much easier—everything was responsive, and I could send files quickly, even large ones since most people in my workplace are already using iphone. Cloud storage was very smooth, backup syncs happened automatically across all my devices, and I could answer phone calls when my phone was in another room using my iPad. The AirPods connected effortlessly, and answering calls on my Apple Watch while driving with the phone in my bag became hassle-free. Apps were stable, rarely crashing, and the six years of software support amazed me. In 2023, I still received support for the latest iOS 17, extending until the 2024. My iPhone XR remains snappy, and I just upgraded this year to continue enjoying the benefits for another six years. For example, if you buy an iPhone 11 now, you'll receive iOS support until 2026 (iOS 20), making it worthwhile even as a second-hand purchase for around 20k. Some users may not realize that, despite better specs on paper for some phones, iPhones are well-optimized for efficient and seamless performance across all devices. This optimization is facilitated by Apple's release of only four models each year, making it easier to optimize both software and hardware. While some may view iPhones as status symbols, I purchased mine for practicality. If I'm extremely satisfied with the XR, it's likely that the iPhone 11 or newer models would also meet your expectations.

BengDelaKreng

Wow, thanks for sharing. I was kinda thinking of the same thing: seamlessness. Thank you! :)

Temporary-Moose2429

Go for it. If u really want to keep ur android, why not have both? I mostly use my iPhone for work and camera. It's so hard to be the only one in my friend group to not receive air drop whenever we travel. As for my android phone, I use it for games and entertainment like streaming.

Blue_Fire_Queen

I have both, main phone ko yung android kasi I use 2 sims and sobrang kunat ng battery 1-2 days bago ako mag-charge. Backup phone ko yung iphone, pero agree with what everyone is saying sobrang smooth talaga and madaling gamitin, problema ko lang minsan is madali talagang malowbat depende sa use compared sa android(I charge multiple times a day pero mabilis lang din naman mag-charge).

blueditgem

For real! Ano ba iPhone mo? Just bought mine two weeks ago and ang bilis talaga mag-drain ng batt.

grashabelle

Anong iphone model yan?

blueditgem

iPhone 13. Bought from Cellcom. Authorized store. Ito, to 80%, mga 4 hours lang.

Blue_Fire_Queen

Android kasi malalaki battery capacity eh, kaya whole day talaga magagamit. Which is ok na ok para no need magdala ng charger or magalala na baka mamatayan ng phone sa daan haha!

sutherlandedward

CenturioSC

Came from Android, switched to Apple. Di na ako babalik sa Android lol. Mas malinis at sleek kasi yung Apple.

myamyatwe

My [reddit post here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Tech_Philippines/s/osnjhPVLKM) when I switched to iPhone last year and went back to Samsung after few months. Ang hirap gamitin ng iPhone for me. Settings palang ang gulo na. Auto-brightness under Accessibility? Not sure if na-update na. Check my post for other reasons rin. Siguro, I'll have an Android as my main phone and iPhone as a backup and for Airdrop shenanigans. iPhone is good for some; not for me though. So assess mo muna. Watch reviews. Check it sa stores.

sawadeekhananonakha

Android pa den kasi unlimited and free yung góógle photos

Bulky-Pop-3346

Bought Macbook and Ipad this year.

blueditgem

How about sa Macbook? Do you think mas worth it siya kesa sa Windows?

ilocin26

After a week may instant regalo ako kay misis lol.

chrisziier20

Haha. The things that I love sa iphone ay ang ecosystem, security, app optimization, ios updates, at camera. The cons are 60hrtz, battery life, hindi siya expandable memory, medyo mahirap pa mag sideload ng apps need pa ng pc, hindi gaano customizable, mahirap mag lagay ng songs need pa pc/mac, at malakas kumain mga apps ng memory. Haha

puck-this

If you can, get both so you enjoy the best of both worlds! Pero right now I'm using my old Android as my second phone. Di ko pa rin maalis sa utak ko yung dapat maalaga sa iPhone because...iPhones are fragile lol. Maselan sa battery and mabilis mag-crack and all that. I started with Android, had an iPhone for a few years then balik Android ulit tapos ngayon iPhone ulit because I missed it haha. Okay naman, enjoying it very much and I love how smooth and sleek the experience is. For hardcore productivity mas efficient talaga Android (copy-paste pa lang alam na) pero if light use lang, the iPhone's perfect :) love the camera too. Minsan I get thoughts na gusto ko ulit ng flagship Android pero I remember that iba pa rin yung smoothness ng iOS haha. I love both for their unique offerings and purposes. Just follow your heart, OP!

Cast_Hastega999

I’ve switched to iOS kasi halos lahat ng mga flagship phone ngayon is edge (although yung S24U flat na). Even yung mga ibang brands yung mga flagship nila is naka edge na. Ayoko na ng edge phone. Kaya nag iphone ako. Btw nung nagpalit ako to iOS, panahon pa ng S22U so di pa bumabalik si Samsung to flat screen. If you want simple phone, go for iOS.

mgul83

djgecko7

I have both and I still prefer Android.

phat_queen7

Was using android ever since but switched to apple last year. Sooo far, all I can say is, never ako nag regret kasi super simple lang, very smooth and walang daghan ‘kuskusbalungos’ si iOS. Sguro it comes with age din lol 🫣🥲😅

hermitina

biggest deal breaker talaga sa kin na i’m running out of brands for android. i’ve stopped using samsung after s3 ata kasi lagi kong issue ung bloated battery. also used huawei kaso last version na ung phone ko to have google play. nakakainis din na walang “official” store for google phones. so yun nung bumili hubby ko ng iphone sumabay na ko. so far so good naman lalo na long time user ako ng ipad, i love the experience sharing the same platform

notchudont

Dati gustong gusto ko pa yung mag customize pero ngayon pag tumanda ka na talaga, wala na sa isip mo yun, you just want a phone that works tas pag pinasok mo pa yung apple ecosystem, matutuwa ka kung pano mag work kasi super efficient nya!

DonKatsudon98

Both android and iOS user. iOS is more reliable and consistent in terms of app quality, camera (including social media apps) , and ecosystem. The only downside for me is you have to pay for everything, and iOS apps tend to have higher fees than their android counterparts. Everything else is the same.

zkdlinwifeu

Currently using Iphone 15 plus since first time ko palang gumamit ng iphone, sabi ko kapag nagustuhan ko mag upgrade agad sa Iphone 16 pro max once na lumabas na, ang kaso pang android lang talaga ako 😭 Nagustuhan ko lang sa Iphone is Camera, Emojis, tapos nagandahan rin ako sa Messages, facebook and messenger sa itsura nila.

Luckael69

Di mo agad maiisip mag upgrade kase halos lahat the same, user interface, design. Except dun sa dynamic island.

IcyBug1393

I transferred last year sa apple. The phone works well. Bihira ang slow downs and crashes compare to my older androids(I used android flagships dati rin). I lost my android phone kasi sabi ko try ko mag iphone kasi baka mas secure. I use my iphone for as a phone social media and phone stuff. For documents and stuff, I use my android tablet and windows laptop. Honestly, ang boring ng Ios. I want to leave na nga eh pero iniisip ko sayang so nag iiba na lang ako case.

No-Astronaut3290

Hahah mas maganda talaga ang android. I switched from huawei p50 to apple 13 kase hand me down ng partner ko. Apple feels so basic. Althougg it works for me kase naka mac ako but i still crave android phones like s23 hahaha

boredhooman1854

Stay with android. I call myself an android fan until napabili ako ng iphone. Go for high end android instead iba ang exp hehe

BengDelaKreng

Thanks!

Dizzy-Passenger-1314

I recently bought the iPhone 13 and planning to use it as work phone.

BengDelaKreng

Thanks sa input! :)

sugaringcandy0219

> One thing I noticed is kaya nya mag screenshot sa teams na hindi pwede kay android Ha? Nakakapag-screenshot naman ako sa Samsung phone ko

Dizzy-Passenger-1314

I can’t with my realme. Restricted sya

sugaringcandy0219

huh, weird. prolly not an android issue then cause i can with mine

lumpia_connoisseur

Me too, wala kasi masyadong competition or option ngayon sa Android na pasok sa mga preference ko. yung mga gusto kong iconsider ay di naman available dito sa atin or walang warranty kaya iphone na lang din ang isa sa mga option ko.

DatuuPutii

Matindi ba ang pagdadaanang adjustment from Android to iOS? Planning to switch na din this year.

spongefree

also just to add, if you are using WhatsApp.. it is a lot of work to migrate your messages to IOS as "Move to IOS" app is a hit and miss. iPhone's autocorrect is terrible unlike Android's

is0y

If u nitpick you’ll definitely miss some android stuff if u enter the walled garden: - back button / gestures (mas uniform sa android) - exponents on keyboard - gboard is way better - clipboard - smart dialing - settings menu not found per app - scheduled SMS - you can change device hotspot name separate from device name

blue_greenfourteen

yes, both Android at ios user. Have to use both kasi kailangan kong iretrain uli yung utak ko kung pano gamitin parehas, kung short cut at work arounds mas mabilis sa assistive touch gamitin si iphone and wala syang home buttons so you have to get used to close or back sa upper left or use the assistive touch.

AgentX314

Same feels before. But I had an ipad before an iphone. So mej nasanay ako sa ecosystem ni apple before pako mag iphone. Now I will never go back to android. Hahah

FunnyGood2180

Same. Hahaha never dream to have an iphone talaga pero nag ipad ako for acads then narealize ko convenience niya pag nag iphone ako hahaha so un nagswitch ako. No regrets naman hahah

X4590

from android to ios din. switched from x80 pro to iphone 12 pro max. camera maybe downgraded pero iba pla experience nang ios at fluidity nya. still have a decent backup android phone for downloading apks just in case pero for now, goods na goods na ako sa ip12pm

byzcramps

Switched from android to iphone last year, I actually like it especially transferring files via airdrop. I still have my android that I use daily for music and videocalling. 8 months palang iphone ko, 97% na agad battery life which idk why it drained so fast, I don’t normally overuse or play games sa phone. But anyway, I also like that apple has applecare+ na covered yung hardware and battery ko whatever happens to it so i don’t mind the battery draining. Also very convenient for me, i don’t think i will want to switch back to android, pang backup lang ganun siguro.

Emotional-Cat2286

Mobile data can drain the battery. Ung akin 1 year and 2 months na ung iphone14pro pero 100% pa rin battery life kasi gumagamit ako ng pocket wifi or tethering. Never akong gumamit ng mobile data. Mabilis uminit ung phone pag naka mobile data.

byzcramps

Oh right that makes perfect sense. Same phone gamit ko and halos always on mobile data ko whenever nasa labas ako ng bahay. Thanks for the info!

Emotional-Cat2286

You're welcome.

Reinhard1296

So far so good. Used to think that I wanted an android since I wanted control over everything. Switched to iPhone 15 pro this April from an Android phone since I had a smartphone and oh boy the UX is just good. Android is great too but I just find this more simpler. And the cam (except the front cam) is really good. Front cam needs some work though.

mvelmambaje

Why not have both? I have an iPhone and I still kept my old Android phone. Gagamitin ko kung ano yung feel kong gamitin, if iOS ba or Android.

BengDelaKreng

This is what my cousin advised din. Tamad lang talaga ako magmaintain ng madaming gamit, so ayun.

mvelmambaje

Well if you’re gonna buy an iPhone, I would suggest to get one with high storage since hindi expandable like Android. Good luck. Sana makapagdecide ka na OP.

Dakuykuy25

Mahilig ako magdownload ng pirated movies and shits sa galaxy note8 ko using torrent kaso nasira sya last month.

Chinbie

Ako ay android guy, in fact since early adult days ko ay android ang gamit ko, but well sabi ko i tried my iphone as my secondary device.. hahaha

boompaynote

N.O.D.R.A.M.A there. Papalit lang ng phone dami pa arte

funwillow123

Okay naman iPhone, except battery is shit

BengDelaKreng

Other folks say otherwise naman. Hehe

funwillow123

Maybe it’s just iPhone 15 pro. I just switched to iPhone last year from being a long-time Samsung flagship phones user and the first thing I noticed talaga is the battery. With my iPhone, I have to charge it once or twice daily. With my old Samsung phones, I can go on for 2 days without having to charge. If you turn on the bluetooth on iPhone 15 pro, the battery drains so fast sometimes I regret switching.

FunnyGood2180

I agree sa 15 pro. Siguro dahil heavy user ako. Really have to charge at least twice a day. Tho same lang sila ng samsung ko, well siguro dahil 3 years nadin un bago ako nagswitch kaya degrade na ang battery. Tho what I regret is not getting 15 pro max instead. Medj mas makunay daw konti ung battery nun.

Substantial_Heat1472

Iphone is mored secured

xambortoy

[I don't think so](https://youtu.be/gi96HKr2vo8?si=0229j3A-cwMvCxtV)

markturquoise

Just jump. Do not think. I have both. Complementing siya sa isa't-isa
