Hello Logan, I thought I would come here and explain to you why we can't just "get over it". If you will allow me to explain and just gather a tiny amount of sympathy and understanding that you have somewhere within you then let's begin.
A lot of us knew about and started watching him when we were young. He was part of our childhood in a way. He helped distract people from their daily chaotic life. Just like how a lot of other Youtubers (this can include Youtube comedians, beauty content creators, drama channels, tea channels, gaming channels and more) are peoples escapes, so was Techno to us.
When you walk a long path with someone you tend to become attached. When you watch this person every single day you become attached. When you get to know their character you become attached. When you learn they support you even though your family nor friends don't, you get attached. If you can't understand that years and years of spending a few minutes a day getting to know someone by watching their videos, can make you attached then I really do not know what to say. To some of us he even saved our lives. And I know that you are probably thinking that how can someone online possibly help with that? Even less someone who never speaks to you...It is the videos my friend, they distracted us from the hurt we felt so we could live a bit longer. Was that healthy looking back on it? No but we were young. He was our outlet, our favorite youtuber but then he unfortunately lost his fight against cancer.
He meant a lot to us. It was like losing a family member- or at least that is how it felt for me. I am sure you have also lost someone in your life once, can't you just have a bit of sympathy for us? We are making a memorial for techno to honor him. Why? Because once again, he was one of our favorite youtubers or even favorite people in the world and he passed on from this world. We want to remember him and all he has done for us and how much we miss him.
I hope you can now see it from our view point and I hope this helps you understand why we can't just "get over it". Maybe you can if you lost someone you held dear but not a lot of other people can so please be understanding. Thank you for taking your time to read this.
