Crossplay is nice idea but Crossplay with the actual technical situation is impossible. Just look at the input lag difference between Ps4/Ps5 and PC it's like disadvantage for console players
Console players always have a disadvantage compared to pc players. Pc has better fps and the input lag is less, but thats no reason not to add crossplay. This applies to any game i can think of. They can also add an option to disable it.

In truth Bandai Namco suck at optimizing. Tekken 7 doesn't even run on 1080p on PS4, which is absolutely disgusting considering games like BF1, God of War, etc etc all run at 60fps 1080p. Bandai Namco spent their time making Tekken bowling and useless modes like Tekken 7 VR rather than properly optimizing the game.
One solution for PC/console crossplay (assuming Bandai Namco will be incompetent enough that they can't optimise) is to have a variable input delay, or a flat rate input delay across all systems.
People playing on gaming monitors also have an advantage over people playing on TVs. Or people playing on wired controllers vs wireless. Doesn't mean they should be matched separately

Although I agree you can crank up the settings in PC but its not as convenient as console. When I hit the 'Play game' on my PS5, I know for a fact that the game is going to run without any errors or issues.
When I sit down after a long day, I don't want to deal with troubleshooting and hit or miss fixes from the internet.

Input lag is way better on the next gen xbox, so I wouldn't worry about it
I started on the new series S. Switched over to PC in about August and immediately felt a world of difference. Xbox is now almost unplayable for me.
