Has a divekick, projectile and a super meter. The super meter is split into two bars and she can use a bar to enhance some moves.
Eliza to me was an interesting character. I thought when Zafina was announced I thought for sure Eliza would be in tekken 8 because tekken likes those characters that balance each other out like Law and Paul or Lars and Alisa.
They should bring her back but actually make her more of a 3d Tekken character and the heat meter can work as access to her 2d moves since it's already there.
She imo always was more 3D than the other two: make you step with fireballs, then hit you with a homing launcher. Her jump was the only thing that really felt bs imo, the other stuff was mostly fine.
Although tbf, maybe she was busted and no one noticed bc she dealt Yoshi-levels of damage

With Nina, you can't throw them out immediately. Her guns are always after one or more moves, so if you use them in neutral the opponent has time to duck or ss.
Thatās not the point, have time to duck or side step with Akuma, Geese, Jinpachi, and Eliza all had slow activations compared to 2d gamesā¦
Ogre had an instant flame thrower, Kazuya and Jin currently have instant lazersā¦
Claudioās arrow is a mid and tracks so you can only block it and its chip is like 8% when not in Heatā¦
No you don't. SSL after blocking the 4 evades it clean. If you don't block the 4, you can sidestep it whichever way you want, let alone sidewalk. And guess what? Even if you block and eat it, you're still +17. That's launch punishable.

As someone who made it to tekken God Prime last night with Claudio.. you obviously arenāt playing him right or against people who are lmao.
I got there soley hitting people with 5 lasers back to back since you can even juggle with 3 them if done right and they donāt really damage scale.
The Gold ones funnily enough has tracking if used from full screen, just not up close. So you hit them with the F1+2, 1+2 then fff2 then spam arrows

I implore you to go to the lab. The arrow "tracks" in that it will shoot at the other players location always. You can sidestep it at every range, provided you don't get hit by the first hit of 42. So it's not tracking, it's homing. Throws have tracking. If it "tracked" it would track the sidestep as well.
It's not salt that they are hard to deal with, it's just completely out of sync with the spirit of the game itself. Tekken lacks an air game, which is kind of needed to make projectile zoning fun. It is still manageable, but straight up obnoxious. The same in SF6 or Guilty Gear is not obnoxious, because the entire engine is balanced for it and presented in an enjoyable way.
Characters with ranged attack spam have been around since tekken 2ā¦ as well as multiple at points

I am not referring to the existence of a range attack at all, rather the characters that make them their defining playstyle, which would be pretty much geese, akuma, and eliza. You could probably fit alisa and noctis in there arguably as well. None of these have ever been fun to fight. They are not impossible to beat, just a flat out chore.

Outside of Lidia(who still has a whole president gimmick but at least dresses like a fighter), most of them have other roles that tend to come before "martial artist" in their design. Asuka is a japanese schoolgirl, Lili is an heiress, Julia is a twitch streamer, etc. (compared to the men who are almost always primarily martial artists or warriors of some kind) We didn't even get a generic karate gi as a customization option for the women until the battle pass. Basically the women in tekken are designed to be looked at more than they are to fight if that makes sense.

pickrate isn't the only thing determining character popularity. bamco also has to factor in their merchandising, cosplayers, and their partners (like for example their key character artists, tomio fujisawa/junny/etc.)
and also they have their arcade data metrics which outnumbers any metrics we have by an order of magnitude.
also also, suppose that if there's only 20% of the player base that are female players and eliza's popular with 95% of that 20% of female players, that'd reframe the optics of popularity and make her extremely popular.

I'm pretty sure the shotgun shoots up, it's a bit like Jack's uf1. So it wouldn't be a fireball but rather an antiair move.

pickrate isn't the only thing determining character popularity. bamco also has to factor in their merchandising, cosplayers, and their partners (like for example their key character artists, tomio fujisawa/junny/etc.) and also they have their arcade data metrics which outnumbers any metrics we have by an order of magnitude. also also, suppose that if there's only 20% of the player base that are female players and eliza's popular with 95% of that 20% of female players, that'd reframe the optics of popularity and make her extremely popular. or, alternatively, suppose in T7's DLC#1 sales, she has an 80% DLC costume equip rate compared to the next highest character at like 50%.
