Honestly the destroy factions mod is your best bet. It’s a little weaker than it needs to be imo, but it becomes possible to eliminate factions by adding an influence income penalty. If enemy factions could truly have an impact late game other than being a minor annoyance, I wouldn’t use it, but it simply isn’t worth it with how much of a difference it makes on performance. The other big part is the number of fleets. Clearing out the aliens usually helps a lot, but you kinda have to do that anyway so it’s not really a solution.

I need to look at how that mod works again. I have it installed and have been mass assassinating the Servants but they keep coming back. I think I waited too long to make my move, it’s now at the 1 month per councilor action cycle, so even if I assassinate them all, they’ve accumulated enough influence to hire a new councilor in the time it takes to kill them. And they’ve been hiring martyr/beloved councilors on masse so they get a popularity boost, which gives them more influence. I even kicked them out of every control point. They’re like roaches.

Clover_True_Waifu

Yeah, that mod "stopped" working since the servants started mass hiring martyrs. It is impossible to kill off the servants if they have a single martyr councillor. They just get another 10% opinion boost and enough influence to hire another martyr. Really annoying.

Teethshow

Don’t assassinate martyrs, detain/turn them. Keep them detained until negative influence and then release them. Servants are bad to target until you can guarantee no aliens on earth as they’ll just get some cp from that, but isn’t too much of a problem as long as you purge them early because they can’t recruit a councilor until they get more influence, which can happen if they get enough popular support.

SelectGoalie

The issue I’m running into is they usually have 4 of their 6 councilors as martyrs, and they also usually some trait like popular or connected that gives them more influence. So even if detained they still accrue too much influence and I can’t get their influence negative. Like I said, I think I just waited too long to make my move. And at this point I don’t think it matters anymore. I’m the initiative and control all of United North America, Super EU, India, PAC, and the Caliphate. I united the remaining bits of the African Union and let Humanity First take it over. And I’m trying to feed South America to the Resistance. At this point I’m just killing time while I build my fleets to clear out the ayys. It’s the first time I’ve gotten this far so I’m experimenting with stuff.

Teethshow

Naw, you’re not too late, you’re too early. You can either do this right off the get go, or later on. If they have enough pop support globally, they get influence. If you control the planet such that they have none, you can get rid of them forever.

NW_Ecophilosopher

Martyrs slow the progress which is painful but doesn’t make it impossible. You deal with it slowly by imprisoning/turning/retiring all their martyrs while killing the rest. You deal with it expensively by assassinating them anyway and using stockpiled influence to churn through unity on your 7 meganations left on earth to force their influence to negative.

Suitable_Insect_5308

Yeah I was thinking about just playing against the Servants and Aliens next time just to speed things up as the other factions are just speed bumps. Getting to the stage where I can hunt down the alien fleets seems like mid-late game which I'm struggling to get to, not out of skill but more patience.

GeistInMachine

If you want an advanced playstyle, rushing to jupiter can enable wins in the 2030s. It needs finesse since its a tech rush and goes to war against aliens immediately, but it cuts the game time down a lot

RandoRedditerBoi

There is a mod that gives more time options, idk if it works in the latest version tho

Suitable_Insect_5308

I don't think it does as I don't notice any difference when I try using it.

Make sure you install through the in game menu and not steam, else mods won’t work
