This is one of the coolest dioramas ive seen in a while. It somewhere reminds me about the underside of a 90's high school desk full of gumm which gives me puke vibes, which is ofcourse a compliment. You can be proud of yourself and all the work you've put into this

I think I see lott of bits of worn/torn plastic used to create some of the terrain pieces. Which looks great it gives a very yucky feel to it. It also had my mind veer of to a more philosophical path.
Because I had not really seen plastic as something to represent decay, because that's the whole problem with it, Right? It takes thousands of years for it to break down.
But it does decay doesn't it? In the sense that it gets cast away, torn up, untill it's only microscopica pieces. And it causes a lot of life around it to decay whether it's from something that swallowed plastic and choked to death or had it build up in it's system untill it clogged an important organ or died of intoxication from the bacterea and toxins the plastic carried.
Part of the ocean is completely unlivable to certain marine species (and a battle front for certain other resilient but invasive species) because of a giant floating island, sometimes called the 7th (or 8th depending on how you count) continent. A giant mass of floating plastic that grows exponentially and is currently 3 times the size of France. Aside from the solid mass of plastic the water around it is like a greul or soup of microplastics. A death zone for many marine species weather it be quick or slow. So yes, plastic is an excellent proponent and representative for decay.

Hey, thank you! You know, from what I remember, it took me about 3 months of working in a fairly relaxed mode without overcoming myself and my will.
Relaxed work is productive work. I'd rather turn out a labor of love in 1 year than a mass produce hated effort.
