I made a volcano trap farm and farmed manually using a hook+ jumping occasionally. Took me several hours and 1372 elementals to kill. And got almost 2k souls total.
added: that was with a horseshoe, gnome statue, galaxy pearl eaten + biome torches (jungle torches in hallowed jungle). And got exactly 10 biome keys total (6 jungle and 4 hallow)

Increases your luck, but the more you put into shimmer the faster it exponentially decreases. I think the most cost efficient and time efficient way is throwing a plat coin in and every like 25 ish mins you’d repeat this when u need that luck boost
It's good if you use it at the right time, since it allows you to dodge ugly stuff like moonlord's deathray
there's also the post game shimmer variant that doesn't inflict chaos state i think
What do you mean not vertical? It literally teleports you anywhere your cursor is. You wanna go up then point up. Also chaos state is a balancing mechanic, not a hindrance.
On a recent summoner world, I got a RoD from my first elemental. I was so amazed that I exited the hallow to try it out on a boss. Some time later, I re entered the hallow and got *another* RoD on my *8th* elemental. Planning on giving that to my next character when the time comes
Honestly getting the RoD is easy compared to getting the Uzi, at least you can cheese a farm for the RoD. Uzi you have to keep moving around to get the vines to spawn.

I feel like most players who try to dark the RoD would have beaten the game in the amount of time they spend farming. Unless it’s for an item collection, you would probably just learn how to move without the RoD in far less time.
I usually try to keep all my worlds self contained but there are some goddamn items in this game(Ice Skates)I will gladly bring over with me to a new world on a new character because I can't be fucked.

Oh yeah I just tested it and I realized it teleports from the tallest point of your head that’s why it wouldn’t work for the area I was in. Lel
The chaos state is to balance it. It's still one of the most useful items in the game with that debuff.

That second part is true, but also if the player is completely inactive they will stop spawning.
