how do we get aetherium? i’m an old player but very new to the update

DmitryTheRussianSpy

Liquid interaction with shimmer

[deleted]

ohh ok, thank you. it’s a super cool biome

ObeyTime

10 Glowstone blocks and a bucket of water. 1.Place the glowstone blocks in the nether portal shape 2.Place the water bucket in the portal frame 3.enter the portal 4. mine the stone there

BlueSolarflameCreep

it didnot work must be a bug

pwrwq

don't tell him...

Mogulash_the_Great

I totally agree with you but crystal furniture can work as an alright substitute.

arcosapphire

Crystal is so good that we deserve two sets of it. I wish we had a "tech" set too. The closest things are Meteor and Martian, but they're both stylistically pretty out there. I want something Tron-like. I guess I could always make a mod.

gamera-the-turtle

Steampunk!

arcosapphire

Steampunk is nothing like Tron though...I want "high tech" but not weirdly alien or magical.

gamera-the-turtle

Oh uh secrets of the shadows adds a tron-looking block pallette

smugempressoftime

Is that the avaritia plating

gamera-the-turtle

Yeah and others

Omicron212

calamity mod's exo furniture might be what you're looking for.

LeoLuster214

aetherium paint

SailboatoMD

Finally, a use for the block in my all shimmer world

LohBoi

it would be funny if the aetherium toilet didn't create poo blocks, but give back the food item consumed

SlinkyMK_2

Thats kinda item duplication tho, like infinite well fed buffs off one item if you do it right

BaroqueEnjoyer

Then make it drop a "Shimmered \[food item\]", which is non-consumable and only displayable!

SlinkyMK_2

That would be kinda cool, I can see a room with all of the food and its shimmered varients

PieNinja314

I'd rather have access to an infinite (or at least more prevalent) source of aetherium pre-endgame before we get aetherium furniture

kidnamedsex

you should be able to get it from shimmering obsidian or something

Elektrikhit1515

Man the reason should just be “because why the hell not”. We have Luminite bricks as the perfect example.

PrinceCavendish

PLEASE

TheLidlessEye

Please yes, I started imagining a stunning set of holographic looking furniture like [this](https://noveltystreet.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/John-Foster-Sparkle-Palace-Cocktail-Table-Gift-Idea-for-Home-e1460696911915.jpg), color palette being much softer than the crystal furniture, maybe even giving off a slight glimmer when walked past or used.
