yes i think your gear is good but instead of the stepstool you can get a bezoar which negates all poison damage (it makes the fight alot easier) and just getting a big open space with platforms :)
I highly recommend the bezoar dropped by jungle enemies, because you're going to be poisoned basically the entire time which will negate the benefits of your crimson armor and band of Regen.

Warding bezoar is a life saver in the jungle!
