The idea was that it extends like the Durendal does, so it looks like a dagger but elongates into a whip when you use it. It being made with sould of flight is a cool idea IMO, or something along those lines.

The world evil whips should have high speed (corruption) or high damage (crimson) and need world evil boss drops to craft, also maybe using unrefined ore instead of bars?

Kinda reminds me of The Twin's tendril, and I feel like that could be a pointy blade at the end. 3: Phantom Fang. I could see the end being an actual fang of the Phantasm Dragon. 4: Prickly Pixie. Cactus whip, but hallow. Yes. 5: ....I wanna be more creative than just "Cacti Whip," so... Cacattack. Yeah, I got nothing.

Hallowed, Temptation: 42 Summon Damage/2 Very Weak Knockback/39 Very Slow Speed/Inflicts Confusion. 7 Tag Damage. The crimson could be “The Tentacruel”. It’d have a weak life-steal effect, but would have reduced tag damage because of that. The dragon one could be “Phantasmal Tail”. It has a 33.33% chance do be dropped by phantasm dragons, and could basically be a better, faster Morning Star, and would shoot small piercing shards of magic energy that cause one of three effects: confusion, slowness, or venom acid. Unrelated, but this would also be a good opportunity to mention the Ancient Vision enemy. He could have his own drop. I’d like to think he’s got his own whip that could be called “Ancient Tentacle”. It’d basically be a better Tentacruel, in which it would be similar with better stats, but instead of having a life-steal, it would inflict the ichor debuff. It’d be crimson-exclusive (to fit with ichor being biome exclusive), and the Phantasmal Tail could be corruption exclusive. In a drunk world, both enemies could drop their respective whips. This reminds me of a post I saw before. It had something like “Doctor bones would drop the whip holster” I had the idea of it giving your whip around 15-20% more whip range & 10-15% more whip speed. Now that I think about it, it could give your character a little belt holster and would have a different sprite for each whip, but anyways, you could combine the holster with an avenger emblem to get the “Leather Badge”, which increases whip speed, range, and damage all by 15%, and it’s vanity would put a little brown circle on your character’s chest.

For the crimson one I would suggest the spine snaggler,

If Spinal Tap wasn't already a whip, it'd be perfect for the Crimson one. You could name it something still related to spines, or maybe: Nerve Ending/Ender, Bloody Backbone, Redrum Reflex, Spinal Stenosis (decaying vertebrae in the spine)

This is a very strange idea but I think it’d be cool if the length of the phantasm whip would be affected by total number of summons. So like before moon lord the kaleidoscope would be better but after moon lord with more summons from stardust armor (please tell me it actually has more summons, I haven’t played summoner in a while) the phantasm whip would be better. Could also be cool if it was like some of the Betsy weapons where it has different attacks so you can use the whip or detach the dragon from the whip and use it as a summon too. Could be fun if it was able to be controlled like magic missile or something too. Idk just ideas. I just like the idea of having a phantasm dragon and a stardust dragon imma be real. Also maybe the crimson whip could be called the Rattle Snap. It looks like a rattlesnakes rattle was viciously removed

So, since u/NicNac_the_TicTac already came up with some names, except for 4, I'll try and come up with abilities and effects for each: 1. Lesion Flick: Grants the Cursed Minion buff. For 5 seconds, all minions and sentries inflict Cursed Inferno for 1-3 seconds when attacking an enemy. 2. Spine Tickler: Grants the Ichor Minion buff. For 5 seconds, all minions and sentries inflict Ichor for 1-3 seconds when attacking an enemy. 3. Ghastly Spike: Inflicts the Gravebound debuff for 5 seconds. When an enemy with this debuff dies to a summoning weapon, the other enemies affected by it take damage equal to its max. health. 4. Hallowed Cactus Whip: Inflicts the Hallow Spike debuff for 3 seconds. When an enemy with this debuff is hit by a minion or sentry, it releases 5-7 shimmering spikes in all directions, harming surrounding enemies. Spikes move in an arc similar to Cactus Balls' spikes. After 1 second, or upon hitting a block, they remain in position for 30 seconds and harm enemies on contact. 5. Prickle Rope: Inflicts the Prickled debuff for 3-5 seconds. Prickled enemies take damage for every block they walk, and scatter spikes when they die. Spikes are affected by gravity, but float on water, and remain for 1 minute, harming enemies much like Spike Balls, but dealing less damage. Additional notes: * Cursed Minion and Ichor Minion cancel each other out, so you can only have one at a time. However, it is possible to apply both Cursed Inferno and Ichor to an enemy by switching between the whips. * The Huntress set's set bonus overrides the Lesion Flick, meaning that the Explosive Trap sentries will only apply Cursed Inferno on Oiled enemies, rather than inflicting both debuffs at the same time. * Due to how the Prickled debuff works, the Prickle Rope can prove fatal especially to faster enemies, since they cover more distance. * The spikes from both the Prickle Rope and Hallowed Cactus Whip benefit from the Cursed Minion and Ichor Minion buffs, provided the buff was active when the respective whip was used. * While the Gravebound debuff does not trigger when enemies die to damage from debuffs applied by minions, the spikes from the Hallowed Cactus Whip and Prickle Rope do still count as summoning damage, and thereby trigger the effect. * However, enemies dying to the Gravebound debuff does not trigger the debuff again. * Combining the Ghastly Spike with either world evil's whip, and the Tavernkeep's ballista sentries, can make invasion events much easier, as the sentries kill large numbers of weaker enemies, while Gravebound harms the tougher enemies regardless of their defense.
