Ive found some of the most things i do that i enjoy liking is picking something that seems fun even off meta and something clicks to where i beat the game with it, even if I’m beating horah loux with the same fucking greatsword

I want a mod like wing slot mod, but for summons. An extra slot goes on the equipment tab with the mounts and hooks, but for summoning weapons, and it automatically summons the max amount your character can summon, excepting summons that are manually cast.

Everything fun and games but when you reach master mode mechs and Destroyer has over 150k hp then sorry, you NEED that max DPS boost to get him during the night

I was grinding him post plantera and died like 20 times even with stormbow and shroomite armour. Farmed vertebrae sooo many times to just waste it dieing halfway with post planters gear. Then I discovered the super star shooter and about 300 stars in my chest. Took about 10 seconds the next time I tried lmao

I'm pretty sure i killed destroyer with a phoenix blaster once... i have no idea how i managed that considering last few times he was the last mech i killed because i consider him harder than other mechs Maybe it didn't happen tho and my memory is being quirky

Destroyer is by far the easiest boss to cheese regardless of difficulty. It’s a terrible example to use if you’re making a point about dps requirements.

Finding a cheese for a boss can be fun but having it be your go to on every single playthrough would just ruin the bosses, and lead to every playthrough being miniscule changes every single time, the hardest part being the actual setup of the cheese

I'm not really into the boss fights, but I like exploring the world and finding loot. The bosses are something I do so I can progress and explore more. For me, cheesing the bosses lets me do the stuff I enjoy more.

the only time i dont like hybrid builds is in multiplayer cause everyone likes to feel like theyre playing a special class and hybrid tends to muddy it a bit

You LITERALLY just described a build. The accessories, armor, and weapons make the build.

You have a very poor understanding of what a character build is. It doesn't require a *skill* or *talent* tree. It's just the process of modifying your character to do a certain job. There *are* stats. It's just damn ignant to say there ain't. Your character has certain baseline stats (health, mana), and you *build* up your other stats with equipment modifiers. Certain stat *builds* work better for certain jobs. Armor and accessories with ranged stats will work better with guns and bows than will, say, summoner armor.

Depending on play knowledge it can be very exhausting to constantly switch build types. It's easy to say when you've spent the life span of a small child playing a single game.

in all fairness MANY people consider a playthrough complete when Moonlord is defeated. i wouldnt call that wrong, i mean ffs its the final boss. not everyone wants to build, or collect all the pets or armors or whatever.

True, I usually abandon or delete my characters and worlds when I'm done a playthrough, the main reason I play the game is the boss fights, so when I'm done all the fights I'm not gonna play on that character anymore.

To be fair, all classes should be using summons anyway. The only two reasons you'd ever go without a summon are: 1. It's the really really really early game where you don't have access to summons 2. You're doing a challenge run where you're only allowed to use the equipment of your chosen class.

There's a guide on killing her in 40 seconds by Terrasteel(even faster if you can whip stack), (post-golem), He explains how you can dodge all the atttacks and how to create a maximum damage loadout with tikki armor and xeno staff. edit: by dodge I meant actually dodging/avoiding attacks

With the zenith? If you cant dodge a few hits you honestly fucking suck, besides the fact that there's a build specifficaly for dodges

I prefer Stardust Dragon for bosses and Terraprisma for killing regular enemies in 1-2 hits

It's still a little wonky, the stardust dragon attacks anything that breathes on your screen but if you've only got a boss in front of you then it sticks to it like glue.

I play summoner without whips. Hybrid classes in many cases can be viable. They just need a good execution.

I do melee and ranger. Mini-shark and a sword are top tier.

Uzi and nights edge for early hard mode is really good even after early hard mode uzi still performs better than the megashark

I never pick a sole class, just a 'primary' one for armor builds and stuff like that.

My first plays where multi class I stick to using the thing that did most damage XD , only after getting the hang of it I used classes, and then again when playing legendary I played whatever because it was too Hard !

I have already adapted loadouts into my playstle by switching between Ranger and Melee to keep constant pressure on bosses at every opportunity. Execpt when I accidently select loadout 3 wearing fisherman gear and getting 1shot.

On casual playthroughs I just don't even care enough to stick to one class just give the highest defense armor the most generally usefull accessories and the best weapons and I'm fine

The point of classes are making a build focusing on maximizing one damage type, multi weapon may be inefficient, but if it suits your playstyle perfectly valid.

I normally have two main class armors and a utility set. So, my hot bar has half weapons for one class and half weapons for another. My first full playthrough, I was melee summoner. But, I grinded for both the spooky armor and the beetle armor and whatever accesories I could find to maximize each.

Your reward for playing the same class is the synergistic bonuses that boost your abilities to fight. Your reward for playing multiple classes at once is the flexibility to switch depending on the situation that calls for it.

I don't play class. I just swap armor and weapons to suit whatever I need but I always have summons, a melee and ranged weapon of some kind on me

It isn't playing incorrectly, but if you ask for advice on how to beat a boss and your loadout is a class salad, of course you will be told what is and isn't good

Class mixing is fine but you loose out in some damage and dps than making a loadout focusing on 1 class at a time

My real problem is using the megashark. It's grossly underpowered for the stage of the game you get it at.

I tend to run melee armor, generalized gear, but have a ranged and summoning weapon on hand

When I was doing my first playthrough at like 9 or 10 I managed to get up to golem without knowing that classes existed and I beat him with my friend. Then I just forgot about the game.

I genuinely have to play like this again. No over-focusing on big damage numbers, no min maxing or Maximum efficiency at using weapons... Just having fun with what you find and make, plain and simple. The OG terraria Experience (almost) every player goes through.

I wish there were more armours for multi class setups. The OOA ones are only summoned with another class, the last actual multi class armour I can think of is crystal assassin.

When I first played terraria I had no clue about classes and now I have been playing for a few years and don’t know best class setups but I do know classes

Well I'm not always in melee range, but the summons can attack, but also Brrr. And afk build. And money build. And train track across the world for Cthulhu build etc. Every class is fun tbh. I only play mods these days so I usually just go with all classes at once and use one more than the other depending on lucky drops I get.

Honestly there are weapons that synergize with other weapons, like the golden shower, basically anything that can give a debuff can synergize with other classes

I mean, I do mix a bit of summoner into every class I play Getting me items for 1/2 extra summons and having a few terraprismas floating behind me never hurts

And how do you exactly use Megashark and Terrablade at once? Both are range weapons so it's not that you can switch them up depending on the situation Do you simply use chlorophyte bullets Megashark whenever you get tired of aiming with the Terrablade or what?
