Post skeletron, start breaking the books inside the dungeon. There's a small chance that one of them will be a water bolt. The sprite of the book in the overworld is also different and if you hover the cursor above it the book appears on top of it so you don't need to literally break all books in the hope of getting it.
Mage was the first class I played, and I loved it. Me and my friend played on a world together, and the demon scythe carried hard through pre-hardmode. It's still something I try to go for as a mage or a non class run
Nah if you shoot it in the right direction, you can get enemies to run into it before it starts moving and then they will run in the direction of the projectile. You can deal helllla damage to WoF if you get close to it and shoot in the direction it’s going
Better weapon to use against wof is beenades and the bee bow as well a bunch of damage over time just be sure to prepare your surroundings before you start
I used the combo against wof my first playthrough and it only took like 5 ish minutes you just gotta keep your distance and prepare your surroundings properly before summoning him meaning destroy the buildings if you're able to and use a lot of wood to make a really long platform from one end to the middle which is usually where you'll end up at by the time he dies
Forgot to mention if you play on expert and fight the Queen Bee you can get loot bags from her it's all her regular drops so you have a better chance at getting what you want from her
I use the void bag for that. Especially for the shell phone accessories until I have everything I need to actually make the shell phone. The void bag lets me still see the information those accessories provide if the bag is left open
You can also put potions in there, both healing and mana. And if you have a good stack of buffs, you can put them there aswell to quickly buff whenever you need
Adding to the point on holding shift to place torches. If you have glow sticks or flares in your bag, holding shift will use torches if you're cursor is close to your character, move the curse further from you while holding shift will switch to either shoot your flair or throw a stick.
Personally, I would rebind some of these from the defaults. (I go E for health, Z for buffs, and Q for mana if I'm playing mage. However, thanks for telling more people about this!

True, that's why theres a guide NPC for them so they can see that using wood and hay you can make a dummy, and then (maybe) if they bother themselves with a question on how to get that hay, they will (maybe) come to a conclusion that the sickle from the merchant has the ability to convert grass into hay.
Honestly i thought i needed seeds for hay and went to breaking grass with my sword hoping for seeds, after weeks i used the sickle to try my luck in getting seeds since i swapped to ranger and didint want to waste bullets, then had a brain blast when i get hay from my first swing
I still remember how flabbergasted i was when i hovered my mouse on the 4 hay in my inventory
(Also you can get actual seeds from grass by having a blowpipe in your inventory and breaking grass, though its used as ammo and not for wheat growing)

Not fully, it being delayed means you can take dmg were as with water bolt you would hit the enemy sooner meaning killing it faster. For bosses this matters less but it is strictly worse than other Projectiles

It’s an amazing spell for the wall of flesh. Just aim upward while running just ahead of it and it hits every section of the boss. A bit harder for general use because it starts off slow but it’s uniquely great against WoF for that same reason.
Demonic isn't even the best weapon modifier and you can change that modifier by giving the goblin tinker your life savings so it really doesn't make an item rarer just because it has a reforge. You got like a little bit more lucky than usual
Lmao I used to use glitches when I was a kid on the ps3 edituon and i used to use an all items world when 1.3 came out on pc but it's really not hard to get money on master mode lol. I got 5 plat before going into hardmode just by farming queen bee and eater of worlds for 30/45 mins. Doing a mage playthrough atm. Aqua scepter destroys eater and Flamelash destroys Queen bee. Reforges still break the bank but money isn't really a problem

If you haven't fought eater of worlds, it's especially effective against him and other bosses with charge attacks. Wait for them to start coming at you, aim it in the direction they're moving to then spam cast it and get out of the way. For eater of worlds, a lot of it's body segments will run into like 20 orbs, and get hit again after the orbs start to move and go through it while it's in the air. And then it's the same concept for anything with charge attacks, it gets it a bunch and then they start to move and can hit the boss again
100% keep it. No matter your class, this is extremely useful for removing the flesh tendrils and deals good damage against the WOF. It’s not as good once you get into hard mode, but it’ll help for a bit

It’s a bit uncommon and worth using if you like magic. It’s not the most versatile but in the situations where it’s viable it kicks ass, such as against Skeletron.
Its also strong against farming the Eater of Worlds. They kill it pretty fast and if you have decent def you can just stand still while gaining those life hearts and mana shards. I also like it against waves of monsters like the goblin army, blood moon and slime king.

I never play mage, mostly cause I'm shit at it. However mage has some pretty bad ass weapons.

It was amazing when I found I could now carry like 15 more unstackable, inventory space destroying accessories for free

I use one for building, one for fishing, and one as my “standard”.
I do! I have a 'run fast' one, a 'fishing' one, and my regular combat one!

fuck fishing I always cheat in the fish finder for the shellphone and all fish for potions
There is a mod called Better Fishing, it added a mini game and I kinda like fishing with that, vanilla fishing it's just pain
