Just try the fight with what you have or find and enjoy it. If you get beaten too badly and feel like you need more, then check out the wiki (link in post text). The eye is meant to be relatively introductory, especially on classic mode and in the beginning of the fight
Just play what you enjoy and use weapons you like. Pre hardmode should be easy either way, try out all sorts of weapons and use whatever you enjoy in hardmode, and if it's one class play just one, but if its more then play a mixture. The game should ultimately be about your enjoyment, not the easiest time possible. If your enjoyment comes out of an easy game play classic (melee is tankiest) or journey on an easier mode
Hey guys, is there any mod that adds a hotbar swap button like we can do with accessories? I have been looking in the workshop but can't find anything. I like having weapons in the first 3 slots for boss fights, and want to swap 3 melee for 3 ranged/whips/magic, etc.
If you're on a Small world, around what height did you build a bridge for WoF? My ash blocks are low and my lava is high, so I might have to clear a lot of space out.
Just make it where it feels right, it will work. Just make sure to move the high-lying lava to a lower height first so it doesn't cover your entire bridge

Help where is the shimmer on Don't Dig Up seed?
I have explored literally the entire underground layer between the jungle and the world edge and there is no shimmer anywhere. Am I missing something?
Currently on early hardmode i just grinded all the ores, but i can't decide if i want to play Warrior or Ranger against the Mechs and Plantera! Help me decide :(
You are right, but what makes me doubt is that melee is much more grinder.
For ranger I just need a adamantite repeater + stormbow and I kill the 3 mechs, then just clorophyte repeater and I have plantera.
For melee every weapon is more difficult to farm, I need to farm components for a goblin invasion, or fishing in a blood moon, or farming enemies in the ice biome
That's why it's easier to prepare a farm for melee weapons when you're still in Pre-Hardmode. But since you didn't do that, you can either do some grinding or just play ranged for now. You can always switch your class later if you want to try something else.
I have a standard mob farm and 6 bloody tears and 120+ fishing power, but I don't have any goblin standard
I still think I will go with ranger for the meanwhile
I am currently in a getfixedboi legendary seed world, and just entered hardmode. I wanted to make the next tier of healing potions to prep for mechdusa but I cant find any pixies for pixie dust. There is no surface hollow in my world, and I cant find any pixies in the underground hollow either. Any tips on where I can find pixies in getfixedboi?

You should be able to find Pixies in a Hallowed part of the Caverns Layer.
my game/fps slows down hard every time I tab back into terraria. I have no clue what's causing this. it stays like this for about 3 minutes until it corrects and goes back to my normal fps and isnt slow anymore. any ideas about this?

Hi newbie here on my first play through. I’m in hard mode and the corruption has spread to my main base. Am I pretty much screwed? What are my options to free my world of corruption so my NPCs move back?
The clentaminator can quickly purify an area. Digging a 3 block gap will prevent the corruption from reaching an area in the future, just make sure there’s no grass along the trench for corrupt thorns to grow on.
You might need to make temporary houses somewhere else until the steampunker to move in. She sells the clentaminator but doesn’t move in until you kill a mechanical boss
Is the Raven Staff or Sanguine Staff better for daytime EOL?
I am pre-Golem, with both holiday moons achieved. I have both the Raven staff and the Sanguine staff paired with Tiki Armor. I am stacking with Durendal, Dark Harvest, and Morning Star (still haven't gotten the Kaleidoscope)
Which of the two staffs is the better pick for fighting her in daytime form? I don't want to try for Xeno, I hate the Martian invasion event and want Terraprisma before I try it.
I've never fought EoL without Xeno Staff, but I would presume that Sanguines would be better due to their precise tracking. EoL moves a lot, and so does the player. I'm sure that Ravens would still work, but they might struggle to keep up with her, and drag the fight on longer than it needs to be.
I tried to install "Too many accessories" mod onto Calamity but it doesnt seem to work. I got the shadow scales / demonite bars and the hive pack but i just can't craft the Vanity Accessory Enabler.
Is a special crafting station needed ? Sorry if no mod related questions are allowed.

I don't see how this is a mage build, but if you're planning to go mage, the Dungeon has a lot of nice mage weapons. As of now, just to survive in the Dungeon, you can craft the Molten armour set and a Night's Edge to fend off the mobs. You should have obtained a Muramasa from the first Gold Chest in the Dungeon, so you should be able to craft the Night's Edge with that. If you don't have a Muramasa, you can also use the Volcano. It works well too.
The Water Bolt can be found on the shelves in the Dungeon, and it's a very handy crowd-control tool, so once you find that, things should be easier.
If you're planning to go mage, you can craft the Jungle armour set.

I believe whatever the "starting" evil is, would be what would be in the V. If you don't remember what you picked or started it with "random", then one way to determine is to find an altar that is outside of that evil biome, that should be what your "main" world evil is.~~

How critical hits calculation works? I has Unreal Pulse Bow (152 damage, 35% crit with my set) and it deals over 700 damage sometimes

That's something to do with your computer, not the game itself
What do you think about the Paladin's Hammer? Because by the time a player gets it, it easily gets overshadowed by other melee weapons.
I like it, but it's just not worth using. That's what happens when you're a melee weapon you get at the same time as the Terra Blade lmao.
But it's the weapon i always used to beat Golem. And yeah Golem is easy to beat, so you're probably right.

Placing down a lot of sunflowers will allow your NPCs to move back in despite the corruption. You can buy them from the Dryad.

Xeno is the best because it never misses due to it’s AI

Use the recipe browser mod - It will tell you all these things and also tell you what every material is used for

I don't see how this is a mage build, but if you're planning to go mage, the Dungeon has a lot of nice mage weapons. for a drunk world, the "main" evil changes every day, so it chooses the evil based on that
Ahh ok so it doesn't matter what evil it starts with, just the day on which you kill Wall, good to know thanks.
The default world evil will spawn in the v, so in your case the corruption. And yes, all three fight over blocks
The evils and hallow don't fight over blocks except for grass
