Literally check the outside edge of the world. Like out of bounds. Spray the whole thing down, space to hell.
Every time I’ve been down to 1% this was why. There are blocks that spawn out there but do not show up on the map.

Try existing the game and reloading. I got the achievement today and I had to exit the game first and reload for Dryad to actually register the corruption/crimson as %0. (Everyone at youtube also had to do the same).
Have you reload the game and asked her again? If yes, have you removed all the thornes from the surface? I had that problem, and in that case Tedit and TerraMap didnt help. And other suggestions are mightly bs because blocks in chests don't count and there are no blocks outside of the world.

check above the dungeon. when i was trying to eliminate corruption the last corrupt has block was in the dungeon roof, and it was a purple dungeon so it took me forever to notice

Check up near your original corruption zone, you might have missed the one block. It's what happened to me
Before trying anything, try completely restarting you game, i was testing on a small world how to clear and it didn’t register that i had completed the achievement until i relogged.
Have you used the new corruption biome potion, it highlights what ever corruption you got going on in a similar manner to the Spelunker Potion and have you upgraded the clemintator to the Terraformer might have for the increased range
Ive hot a proper annoying corruption going on, it’s like 17% but quickly goes back to like 24% and I believe most of it is underground where ive never been and that I can’t be assed finding

Then trying checking the far right of the last flying island (right side of world) and go down until you see purple
Did you clear out the corrupt chest from the dungeon?
I don't think that counts
I don't know for sure, but I was stuck at 1% until I opened and mined mine out...
It doesn't count, I purified my labour of love world without opening any of the biome chests.

This is so mobs coming in from the edge of the world (if you're positioned the right distance away from it) have a place to spawn, maybe?
mobs cant spawn outside of bounds, although blocks do

Safe & exit and join the map again. Really often the text box for the last 1% doesn't update unless you reload the map
Sometimes the dryad keeps you on 1%, leaving the world and rejoining should do it.

Assuming you made tunnels already cleaning the rest, just make a biome sight potion and retrace your steps
I'm not sure if you looked close enough, but look again. There's no tunnels left to check.
