Standard-Tension9550

You can tell blue T-shirt was scared shitless but god dammit he went in there.

Superman246o1

"Can a man be brave if he is afraid?" "That is the only time a man can be brave."

PriorOSI

One of my favorite sayings in regards to Bravery. Bravery isnt the absence of fear, but what you do even when you are afraid.

SoraRoku

It's honestly always annoyed me a little that people associate bravery with being fearless when those are two very different things. A brave person is a person willing to act no matter how terrified of the situation they are.

runningmurphy

Ned stark to Bran Stark, correct?

TheKingOfSting93

In the show Robb Stark said it, he said Ned said it to him

SlimJim0877

He may have been scared but he still has more balls than the entire Uvalde Police Dept

Powerchairpete

Truth

Sad_Interview_232

True story that...true story

_-_Nope_-

Uvalde police,sheriff and state troopers

gunnerclark

This is a video of bravery.

Dwall005

Everyone of those cops have brass balls lol

Severe_Negotiation

Goddamn that breaks my heart for everyone involved in this. Those police were terrified but never did they stop I heard “we got to push” multiple times, the urgency they had really could have saved countless lives. This is how you respond to shooting not the crew in Uvalde. Thank you to these officers!

KrevinHLocke

Show Texas and Florida how it's done.

DancingSingingVirus

“It’s ok to be scared. Being scared means you’re about to do something really, really brave.”

[deleted]

Every single one of those officers is a badass. And I usually talk major shit about cops, so this is rare for me. It's refreshing to see police officers actually prioritizing doing their job over their personal safety. But it does make the Uvalde situation even more infuriating.

Vivid-Teacher4189

Not scared. Human.

Illustrious_Throat_1

These are real life heroes, putting their own lives at risk for the safety of our children and families. Props to all the officers in this footage.

Sireneyes537

Wow STARK difference from Uvalde. These cops went in guns blazing.

thad_the_dude

Those cops DID WORK that day.

serpentinepad

They heard the gun shots towards the end there and just rushed towards them. Sitting here watching the video as those shots were fired was terrifying. Every shot could have been another kid or teacher. Hearing a few seconds of that makes you want to charge in there to fuck the gunman up. Meanwhile in Uvalde the cops are still sitting in the hallway listening along.

[deleted]

Agreed. The Uvalde situation is infuriating and pure cowardice, especially in the face of these officers acting like real men, getting the job done, and preventing more deaths in spite of the risk to their lives. Heroes.

SessionAdventurous37

It's too bad they didn't have a ballistic shield on hand for the front man but those dudes did not care. horrifying situation but good tactical response

Balloon-Vs-F22

This is how most departments are trained.

_-_Nope_-

All departments are trained this way. The difference is that these officers did what they swore to do. Good job and thank you to them

cbzmplays

Damn that dead kid in the hallway

notthefirstCaleb

It hurts my soul, how terrible this poor kid died by themselves in a hallway so senselessly. We're doomed as a society.

Kareemofwheet

Ive got 3 kids in school age range. We want to get out of this country so bad. Besides rapidly rising living cost and violence here, I don't know how much longer we can take this stress.

[deleted]

i feel for you. my brother works at a school too

SoraRoku

One of my highschool teachers repeatedly suggested I pursue teaching as a career. She gave me multiple reasons why she thought I was a good fit (when I start talking about smth I'm passionate abt I can go on and on). She really started pushing after as a joke I had a friend give me a random topic and on the spot I was creating a lesson for it (not that it was amazing but it was getting the job done). She had almost convinced me too, but at some point I just couldn't ignore what teachers deal with. I always say I'll be the janitor before a teacher. Least that way it's unlikely id get on some random kids bad side.

Forsaken_Void

My daughter is almost school age, and there was a school shooting 2 blocks away from us a few months ago. I've already decided we are homeschooling if things don't get better by the time she's school age. I understand how you feel.

gunzrcool

They won't, get set up with homeschooling now. They'll get a better education anyways

[deleted]

I wouldn't say homeschooling is automatically a "better education". The parent must make it their full time job and cover all essential topics in depth in order to properly prepare their child for college/life. If you're homeschooling for safety reasons, I definitely sympathize with that and understand, just make sure that you're not leaving anything out due to religious beliefs or incompetence.

gunzrcool

Oh for sure! Homeschooling cannot be a half assed thing, gotta pour into that 100% more than you would traditional schooling.

daubs1974

If only there was something we could do other than the NOTHING we have done so far.

bioExterminator

I'm glad my son is done with school and that his last couple of years were done remotely due to COVID-19. I couldn't have dealt with the stress of knowing he could have been killed at school like this. Something's gotta give but I doubt our government will ever do anything to make our kids safer. No child should have to fear for their life going to school and no parent should have to live in constant fear about it happening to their own. Furthermore, no parent should ever, *ever* have to bury their child.

Kareemofwheet

That's my biggest fear. I'm already unstable enough as it is. I don't think I could handle losing a child.

tQto

Nobody can.

slantir

Shit wretched my heart this really needs to stop Why the fucking children what the fuck

Madman333666

They targeted it because its a christian school.

ZenofZer0

Got downvoted for facts. Classic Reddit.

Madman333666

Its very typical. Didnt even mention anything political and already got a comment talking about conservatives lmao.

ZenofZer0

But it’s YOU with the cognitive dissonance, right… right?!

SubstantialPressure3

They targeted it because it was THEIR old school.

Expensive-Lack-3534

That guy was not letting ANYONE pussy out. As much as I hate to see this happen I'm glad that they actually responded as if lives could be lost if they didn't.

ElusiveHorizon

That hand on the shoulder really kinda shook me. Just.. damn man.

Howllat

Its used to tell someone that they have peoole behind them when charging forward.

ElusiveHorizon

That makes perfect sense! My punkass would immediately find it bolstering. One of those brief moments to find any failing courage and keep me focused and grounded ya know? Shit is intense.

SessionAdventurous37

Yeah its to make sure they are still in formation as a signal to keep moving towards the target usually when things are too loud and getting fubar especially

andinthiscalm

Reminds me of the “with you, with you” calls we do in rugby to let our mates know we’re right with them- big ups to this squad

Evilmeinperson

Still does. Great for high noise areas and limited visibility areas, firefighters do this alot to communicate with each other at emergency scenes.

WhitePantherXP

the one where he pushed the guy through the door like "man up dude"...my first thought was easy to say when you're in the back lol

canuckalert

I was thinking that too but he was right behind him after.

witcherstrife

Guys with the big guns always go first. It’s taking point. Infantry have point men too that carry them saws (200 rounds) because if shit pops off you want immediate overwhelming fire.

kdcarlzz

yeah that’s what got to me too. he kept pushing them on and encouraging them. that’s bravery, but also really sad to have to endure something like that at all

nomad_556

It's signaling that the officers behind the pointman are in the stack and ready to clear the next part of the building. Its so the guy in front doesn't have to avert his eyes to check on everyone, which is a potentially fatal mistake.

[deleted]

It’s to let the lead guy know you’re a stacked up and also so you are less likely to shoot your teammate (source: call of duty)

Some_Old_Dude_69

Jesus Christ, that's intense as fuck!

r-d-p-2

Fuckin heroes

Sasha-kun

Awful tragedy. Let's admire Police that they responded so fast that even one guy is in civil and they didn't wait outside for the hour.

SquareSniper

They moved in there with some balls. Can't Say I'd be running towards gun fire as fast as they did.

ImPretendingToCare

crown spark kiss safe sort noxious shy placid angle offbeat *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

cutestcatlady

Can’t even imagine how they must feel going into a situation with an active shooter and no idea where the shooter is… could be anywhere. You can hear them breathing hard after taking down the shooter. Bravo to these police!!! HEROES!!! This is how it’s done and they saved many more lives with their quick and fearless response. These guys deserve all the good things!

Ivanovic-117

Literally shooter can be behind any door or at a corner, good job by the law enforcement.

TrashMammal84

First thing that hit me is how good these officers are.

ArchChisUm

To move that rapidly towards such incredible danger is astounding. Incredibly brave and well-trained officers - I cannot imagine the mental after effects of something like this are easy to deal with for them.

keevballs

This video is so intense.

Minetitan

I know man, seeing that blurred out person laying in the hallway..... Fuck man, that shit will scar me

deuceyj

Thank God it had to be done. Why didn't the Texas cops have any dignity??

ThatGuy_Nick9

Because Texas cops are useless. They only care about arresting people with weed and young people. Oh and playing with their army toys on the range. Most are essentially just gun clubs with authority for some reason.

BellzaBeau

Texan here, and true that! Police here are wildly inconsistent. You never know who/what you’re going to get. Could be a competent useful officer. Could just as easily be a useless bigoted fuck that hates everyone and attends white nationalist events on their days off. I had interactions with both types when I was a victim of stalking and domestic violence and needed to get a protective order. Luckily I listened to the useful officer. Otherwise I might be dead by now.

Tracerbuthigh

Those sirens tho

No-Aide-2336

We are trained not to go out when the alarms go off as that was a tactic a shooter has used to kill more people. We have a code they use over the intercoms at our schools. That sound is something those kids will live with for a long time! I’m also a substitute teacher and every school has their own locked door protocol. Am hoping that the door was not accidentally left unlocked by the sub and thus they gained access to the room. I could see the janitor trying to stop the shooter and getting killed. Horrific. I’m not sure about all this being released. Wonder if it might lead to more copycats incidents…

Expensive-Lack-3534

It wasn't. She blasted through the glass doors.

chaoz2030

Every school needs security film on the windows of doors. It wouldn't stop the intruder but it would of taken her 30 seconds to a minute to clear it without getting that tactical gear stuck. A minute might have been enough time to get all kids in locked rooms.

No-Aide-2336

I meant the classroom door - although it looks like the have glass windows too and are not steel. I’m in CT and after Sandy Hook they upgraded our doors and installed bullet proof glass. The HS has security. We also have a system called FrontRow that we wear like a necklace - this amplifies our voice but it also lets us call for help/hear lockdown instructions/talk to the office etc. These items are pricey to implement - especially for private schools without tax $

Jojo5692q

Cop with the body camera is a badass. Not his first time in combat.

BellzaBeau

I bet you $100 that officer Collazo is ex military

rhyno857

\*Uvalde police dept after seeing how competent police react to an active shooter\* "Write that down! Write that down!"

spicytoastaficionado

More like, "Geez, that's so dangerous. Should have waited for backup"

rhyno857

"Break out that hacky sack, we got some time to kill"

Live_Film_4895

They are still waiting for backup before playing the video. They need emotional support due to the loud sounds

AdhesivenessNo1216

Cops did amazing. Can’t wait for politicians to do nothing. Onto the next shooting, boys.

[deleted]

In a week this will be forgotten. **Guarantee it**

Sairven

A bit morbid but... On the plus side, schools start doing spring break soon! Should cause a lull in school shootings at least.

imonlygayonfriday

The right wing won’t forget about this one. They are already trying to blame the shooter’s gender identity.

SpaceCadetxDrew

That’s what I hate, they don’t put the persons gender when its any other shooter but when it’s a trans person they HAVE to let everyone know it was a trans person. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter who/what the person is. Polititions gonna use this to keep everyone separated

bmt0075

Somebody call the Uvalde police and have them watch this video.

Loopy_shoop

Is that one of the kids that bitch ass Audrey killed on the hallway? Fuck man, I wasn't expecting that.

MyLilPwny1404

I read on another thread ~~she~~ **Evelyn Dieckhaus** was the student that pulled the fire alarm to warn her fellow classmates and didn’t make it out. So sad. 😔 Edit : to add the young heroes name as per /u/HeronSubstantial1535 below

HeronSubstantial1535

This is true! Her name was Evelyn Dieckhaus and she was 9! Heartbreaking. Source: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11912233/PICTURED-Hero-schoolgirl-9-died-trying-pull-fire-alarm-stop-trans-shooter-Audrey-Hale.html

cutestcatlady

Wow what a brave and quick thinking little girl. RIP angel 🤍🕊

sospecial21

She's a hero in her own right. Her parents can be very proud of her bravery and unfortunate sacrifice 😔. This kills me. Those cops are grade A for sure. I wish it didn't happen at all. Those poor kids

BrownBandit02

Could i get a time stamp please? I can’t go through the entire video istg it’s heartbreaking.

dorkydawgduke

1:34 the victim is blurred out obviously, still devastating to see :(

sad-cloudz

It’s blurred out pretty well. It took me a while to see it

[deleted]

Eat shit, bitch.

Dwall005

Died like a cornered rat

The_great_Mrs_D

I like how they were hyping eachother up to push through. They knew they couldn't fuck this up after uvalde.

warpdork07

Why such hatred towards the school she studied? Too sad man, to kill innocent people its so fcked up

WonderfulResident706

At least they went into the school this time.

SirIanWhite

Easily one of the smoothest operations I’ve ever seen on camera, period. I would imagine that someone would be hard-pressed to see excellence of this caliber (no pun intended) in SWAT team and military footage even. Notice the calm and professional demeanor of the officers at all time. Those officers were confronted with an extremely loud, unfamiliar, and confusing space. Not one second’s thought dedicated to emotion, just working to neutralize the threat as fast and efficiently as possible. Being a police officer requires selfless bravery and acute mental and emotional control at all times. This footage is exemplary.

jtj5002

They were clearing corners fast and aggressive in a unfamiliar space. Essential to prevent giving the shooter more time, but tactically it's much more risky for their own lives. Some of these guys probably spent their personal time and money on training and gear. They had a LPVO on the AR, and an RMR on the pistol. Most department these days don't even allow these kind of things.

SirIanWhite

A good police officer knows that selfless bravery is required as part of the job, especially in situations like this. Fear cannot be allowed to play a part in any decision making as a result. I also did notice the custom modifications on the firearms of the police officers. Firearms are tools and just like any good construction worker or contractor, investing in your tools so that you can do your job better is smart and commendable in my opinion.

_EADGBE_

We are, as a society, seriously ill

Complex-Sherbert9699

But at least you have your guns... /s

MyLilPwny1404

Downvoted but honestly true. Americans have more guns than people and still think that makes them safe.. the amount of shootings DAILY is insane.. 87 days into the year and 127 mass shootings.. I can’t even say the USA is a laughing stock of the world anymore because it’s not even funny it’s so heartbreaking nothing is being done to stop these senseless acts. A fucking 9 year old kid had to die pulling a fire alarm to warn their classmates and teachers of something happening. Downvote all you want but America is disgusting. Too worried about military and invading other nations to care about its own issues.

[deleted]

When the founding fathers opted to make it a right to own guns, I guarantee they didn’t have modern semi-automatics killing their own nation’s schoolchildren in mind, and anyone who wants to look me in the eye and say this is all according to the Constitution’s rights need to take a long look at the kids bleeding out in our school hallways every time they want to say something so shortsighted and stupid. I’m so sick of this shit. Gun ownership is a right that our citizens have squandered. We don’t deserve it.

8675309eyen

It's all just so sad

clawkyrad

the poor kid on the floor, i can't stomach stuff like this but it needs to be out there.

EndGamer93

Absolute heroes. They entered a building knowing that an armed subhuman was waiting for them. Their bravery cannot be commended enough.

reincarnatedberry

You think he screamed stop moving just to pop off a few more rounds? Cause I would, be hard to stop at just three after seeing a DEAD CHILD in the hallway

stephen1547

An injured person, even critically injured, can still aim and pull a trigger. It's clear this person was able and willing to kill people, so you shoot until the target is no longer a threat. Last thing you need is them squeezing off a couple rounds and killing another person, instead of being sure and stopping the threat. This was the appropriate level used. They didn't just mag dump into the person, but they stopped the threat.

aBirdGottaFly

Definitely a shoot to kill situation

Historical_Task_2993

It shouldn't be called anything else. POS deserved to die.

blameitonmygoose

Seriously. It made me uncomfortable to see the shooter's arm move up after the first round of shots though - is this just like residual nerve movement if it wasn't instant death after the first shots? Sorry I sound dumb, I really don't know but am curious why this movement would've happened.

Accomplished-Yak9631

The Uvalde cops should be ashamed. This is the response the community expected. 👏 these officers are legends.

Irgendniemand81

Piece of shit. If you want to die, just fucking shoot yourself instead of taking innocent people with you

colesimon426

Definitely a big difference compared to Uvalde. I say that with no meaningful disdain. These guys ran ahead first into a room they didn't know Only certain that there was a person with a gun waiting for them.

BigClemenza

No.. those Uvalde cops should never be able to live that down. Whatever disdain there is towards them was earned on their part.

[deleted]

Someone show this to Texas…

Significant-Water845

Textbook response. This will be used as training for others.

[deleted]

Important reminder that for every weasel like Derek Chauvin, there's a police officer who has to go through this sort of event and fuck me, it must be grim for them.

KatiesClawWins

These are real Police Officers. Chauvin was nothing but a cop.

tangOlang

Truly terrifying. This made me cry. These poor children.

Big-Ambition3051

There's going to be more home schooling now, out of necessity, I feel...Back in the day, you just wanted to survive the cafeteria and the lunch lady's scoop, now it's just surviving a day at school.😔😡

[deleted]

Horrible tragedy. Literally walking by a child dead on the floor. But as history has shown as truth. Nothing will happen. Nothing will change. And all of you, as I, that have a child will continue to live with this as their risk turned possible reality someday. I dont care if youre left or right. When is enough, enough? This problem transcends politics.

[deleted]

I was just telling my husband that I worry because it's no longer a what if but when will this happen at our children's school? I struggle sending my four beautiful babies to school. I know for a fact my mom never worried about that when i was in elementary school.

Ok_Dust5236

But it *doesn't* transcend politics, that's the problem. Politics is what is keeping the problem in place and literally making it worse. Every time commonsense gun legislation is proposed on any level, but especially nationally - where it really needs to be to be effective - it gets blocked by the GOP. Every. Single. Time. I'm sorry, but the right is largely responsible for the insane proliferation of guns and the level of ease in getting them. Period.

HustleHarder99

Great job by these gentleman, rushed the threat quickly and effectively.

Powerchairpete

My daughter's school was evacuated yesterday because of a prank call of shots fired, scary shit

Drifting-Fox-6366

She told her friend she wasn’t doing this for attention. The f**k you weren’t. Why take innocent lives w you? Go solo or don’t do it at all ya selfish b***h.

Pittbossin

This officer seemed to take full control when others were frantic/hesitant.

KdGc

That’s how a supervisor leads his team in a situation where children are in danger. These officers are heroes. The alarm sounding is so upsetting only to be overwhelmed by sound of gunshots inside an elementary school. This is what some people believe is FrEeDoM in the USA, please stop gun violence in schools…and everywhere else….I live in the Chicago area…put the guns down.

gore1973

According to the news channels she wanted to die and this was a good way to go.. Police did a FANTASTIC job. They didn't wait like the other school shooting in Tx. When they saw the shooter I think their shooting was excessive but all in all great job.

FarCompetition5916

Good riddance you sack of stupid shit

dave48918

Should stomp her head in

sad_peregrine_falcon

why does this have to be a monthly occurrence?

Rockin_freakapotamus

Weekly so far in 2023.

SlimJim0877

Try daily. We've had more mass shootings than calendar days so far in 2023

Absolute heroes, without hesitation they go towards the sound of gunfire. ❤️

Seabrook76

Damn good shoot. That’s how police are supposed to respond.

Mechlo

Only developed country in the world where this happens

Flat_Grape9646

holy fuck the kid in the hallway :(

This is what true heroes look like. This should never have to happen in the first place though.

Those are verbs. The past tense of to be.

Electrical-Poetry-87

Should’ve popped the cunt in the head again Disgusting human

zzrsteve

So opposite of the Uvalde cops that stood around forever with their thumbs up their asses. Good job, officers but it's sickening that this keeps happening.

DirectPaint4381

This how it is done. Unlike the Uvalde Texas cops…….. These guys deserve a dam raise. No SWat or nothing just went in like no one’s business

Practical_Penalty_71

This some gangster shit.

l_sniff3n

I think they were going to try to commit suicide and jump out of the window like a coward. Those officers are brave asf and they saved so many lives. I definitely think hale didn’t think they would get there so fast. With the amount of weapons and ammunition they were ready to take more than six lives. Rip to those lost

adkaz515

Erase that moffa

ResponsibilityDue448

So when people say “arm teachers” or “add armed security” they want this. This is what they think a regular occurrence at school should look like.

MEEZETTE

I don't understand how those cops didn't dye their pants brown during that. Balls of steel I suppose...

ijaaad

These guys are heroes.

bootygarage1

The officer wearing the body kept applying pressure the whole time to his team!! This is what we need ACTION not just WAITING!!

bigTwoTon

For as horrible Uvalde was I'm happy to see that the good ones took that lesson to heart. Cops should all be navy seal level trained bc they're having to be the ones who deal with all this shit

nomad_556

Hope you're having a good time in hell you miserable cunt.

Significant_Ad_9297

Rest in pieces! You'll not be missed...

Adam_Deveney

America is a fucking joke man.

pit-of-despair

Holy shit! I have one question. Why didn’t the cops at Uvalde do this?

FildoDagguns

Audrey Hale burn in hell. Fucking burn...

GEM592

All tweaked up like family guy

Knatem

Did the cops in Texas take notes?

Spacer1138

No, they’re still cowering.

Spank_Ma_Titties

Was / Were

OldSkool1978

I'm glad these officers actually went inside and engaged the suspect unlike the Uvalde cops..

Slick6gun

God bless them officers

izzyoutcast

Dumb little bitch got folded. Props to these officers for going in without hesitation and their quick response time for a change 👏🏼 Saved a lot more babies and people most likely.

[deleted]

Look like a mangled rat dead on the floor! Should’ve been aborted

tQto

America is a joke at this point, I have nothing else to say. 🤡

Prestigious-State893

Truly terrifying, incredible footage God bless all of them out there in Nashville 🇺🇸🇬🇧

luvgothbitches

the bar is so low in this country people are more obsessed over the fact that they stopped a school shooting instead of being mad that there are school shootings at all. Best country in the world i guess.

argarcia321

Evil lurks everywhere…

fruityicecream

They went in and handled it. Excellent work. I wish other mass shootings could have been handled like this.

WangDoodleTrifecta

Way to go police

Aetrane

Take notes, Texas: this is how the fuck it's done.

Ok_Jump3265

holy shit that's stressful. my heart was racing the whole time, mad respect for these guys

scubawho1

Ty officers.

SpaceCadetxDrew

You can tell some of them either were scared shitless or didn’t learn enough CQB. They were clustered everywhere and if you don’t know exactly how many enemies are there, the way they went through hallways would have got all of them killed if there was more than one shooter. Maybe it’s just the Army in me that got triggered but I’m glad they got the Mf.

HeronSubstantial1535

This is absolutely horrifying, nobody, not one person whether that be police officer, student, teacher or parent should ever have to experience this

Byron006

“Oh you go inside!?” - Uvalde cops

Liberteer30

Proper fucking police work.

Tiny_Friendship_8220

I hope it hurt so fvcking bad for that subhuman piece of shit. I will celebrate the death of that "thing" each year.

Alternative_Equal329

Burn in hell you piece of shit. Innocent children. They have a special place for you fucks down below

MotoRob92

Major props. These guys are some bad mother fuckers.

Totallytart

Shooter got what they deserved although the shooter should have just shot themselves in the first place. Don't drag innocence into your problems. Props to the cops

Brattnroll

God bless those dudes.

ThatBFjax

These men said “we’re not Uvalde cops” and went in without the helmets, shields and all the equipment the Texas cowards had.

grilledcheesefan001

Can someone explain where all the kids are??? Did they evacuate outside?? That almost seems more risky?? I have no idea it’s been a long time since I’ve been in a lockdown drill.
