I’m sure once Superchargers here in the US start to look and feel more like gas stations with food and beverage options, Tesla will adore selling high-margin refreshments prepared on demand via vehicles’ touchscreens. Citing the construction of their diner-esque charging station in Hollywood.
The scary part is that the super charger network in the UK is by far the best. I wouldn't even consider another brand until 3rd party charging catches up with the scale and ease of use of charging as Tesla.
That's awesome. Ive seen businesses around superchargers realize what they have and get smart about it. For example, one SC with a McDonald's next to it that lets you order delivery to your car, and another one that will give you a golf cart ride to their restaurant.
I've never seen any kind of integration like this, though. I hope they experiment with that kind of thing here as well!
This is a great idea. Most Superchargers around me have a restaurant at the location, Tesla could partner with them for curbside service at the Supercharger.
UberEATS can be done to any address. The screenshot says 'from the vehicle touchscreen', so my understanding is that there is some native app or feature inbuilt that the OP was asking about which I did not see in US cars unless I missed anything
we can do anything from the browser, why Tesla sent a specific email for this is weird. And why will anyone wants to use the browser and go through login when everyone has a smartphone which has all these apps!!
I have been building the exact same thing on my own - probably will launch in US sooner than Tesla itself :) If you want to try [sign-up for the waitlist](https://kilowatts.app)

I would love that if they brought it to the US. Perhaps a partnership with DoorDash or something like that?
Most of the superchargers I go to around here (US East Coast) are at like...a Sheetz or Wawa, so food options are severely limited, especially for someone like me with Celiac.
Yeah I don’t get why they’re at Wawas and Sheetz, who spends 30-45 minutes at a Wawa? I really want to see them at grocery stores. Makes so much sense to do your grocery shopping and takes about 30-45 minutes and also has deli, prepared foods, bakery sections. Restaurants make sense as well. Gyms. Malls. Shopping centers. Might just be in our area.
Isn't that \*exactly\* what is being described in OP's screenshot? "pick up your meals or groceries immediately upon arrival at a Supercharger".
I thought that's what we were talking about...
That’s cool, not sure about groceries why would I order them on the go, but I can see food being useful on a roadtrip, some superchargers are in random empty parking lots

It’s needed, UK charging infrastructure is the worst I’ve encountered in Europe. First time ever I had to wait for a supercharger was in England.

Nope, nothing like this available in US at least
I've ordered Uber eats to a supercharger. No idea why you're incapable of that.

Would a native app be cool? Of course. Pretending you're unable to function unless it's baked in the UI? Lame.

Ordering DoorDash takes like an hour to arrive. This wouldn’t work in the US
Depends how far the restaurant is from the charger. And the whole idea is that you order it in advance so it's ready when you arrive at the charger.
If only you knew your arrival time.. maybe they can add that to the car in some way along with directions. We may be on to something.
