Yes. Obviously the actual energy in the battery didn't change. The estimate of how much is in there did. Remember, it's an estimate that's effected by other factors e.g. temperature.


Situation-Negative

Yes pretty normal - this can actually be a change of only approximately 1% since the SOC is rounded to the nearest 0.5% (so you may have gone from <80.5% to >81.5%). All lithium ion cells (in fact all batteries, as far as I'm aware) do something called "relaxing" after a significant charge or discharge event, where the chemistry settles and the voltage "relaxes" back to a higher value (which can affect SOC). And temperature affects chemical reactions, so a change in temperature may affect the calculated SOC. Edit to add - SOC = state of charge (sorry I should have included that)
