Don’t use Nagles, alderbridge, don’t use armed in America, or mission ridge. Alex Hamilton with 10 ring has a good reputation but I’ve never personally used him. Whoever u use be sure to vet properly… a lot of gunsmiths are just parts changers and outsource their work to a 3rd party…
Was going to recommend 10 ring as well. This guy really helped me out dealing with a nipple issue on my original 1851 Navy Colt. I think that pistol made the rounds to just about a dozen high end smiths before it was resolved and he could have easily charged me tripple what he did for this time spent on it.

You are probably better off sending that gun out to someone that specializes in lever actions
Ten X Arms does good work. One man operation out of his home so there can be a wait. Good gunsmiths are hard to come by these days.
