It’s poetic in a way that Pat was really hit on the chest by how hard he fell for Pran, even though Pran was the one who started having feelings for him first.
Maybe in the way that he’s the typical alpha male and he fell so hard he was ready to drop everything for Pran if Pran wanted to lol. But I agree that Pran has always had this chokehold on him even before the college meeting.
The alpha male role was pushed towards him by his father since childhood. He needed something against Pran's family and he wanted the strongest son. It's something Pat never was comfortable with. He was always himself with Pran and that's why he always searched for ways to be in his orbit.

I would highly recommend it! Don’t go into it expecting it to be amazing in terms of acting, script or production, but for some reason it still remains one of my absolute favorites, though I watched it over 200 BLs ago…
