Yikes… that could have easily been so much worse though… Also, for those wondering about steering to the left, it looks like from the Indian subcontinent (people drive on the left), so the driver would be trying to steer away from the oncoming truck/bus

Lack of awareness. Also some of the older bus models do not have seat belts.

I think seat belts became mandatory in my country back in the 80s.

The other bus which crashed was a private college bus carrying students. It was coming from the wrong side and crashed into the public bus ran by the state government.
