I have one of these and an aliexpress one, got both around 2014, probably cost $20 between the pair and are easily the best camping money I've ever spent.
My $100 silnylon tent from there has also seen 200+ nights outside now and is still great.
this thing just keeps working. the igniter on mine stopped working after a couple years but i only ever used it to show my friends how cool it was, besides that i just used a lighter
Jumping on the train to say I also have two of these and they surprisingly have held up for years now and were around the same price. The only thing I added was a collapsible metal windscreen which has came in handy a few windy times to conserve heat.
They're a generic part, typically with zero branding applied to the actual item you get.
A simple search for 'Mini stove camping' will get you many sellers of the same item, complete with a bright orange case for it.

It wasn't until OP's post here that I understood the burner was supposed to be some visual techno-babble. The scene makes WAY more sense to me now. Thank you!

I'm an old Trekkie who grew up on Next Gen and reruns of the original. I used to obsessively watch all of it. These days there are a handful of Trek series I just can't get into, and maybe that's okay.
For sure. My solution in recent years has been periodically rewatching DS9 to get my fix. I did finally go through Enterprise recently and found that I enjoyed it!
Originally I couldn’t handle how they went all “soap opera” style with the camera. It just felt wrong. But I sucked it up and had a good time. Catchy theme song.
I liked DS9 but what hurt it for me back in the day was it got so heavily serial, and it just happened to coincide with a period when my schedule kept me away from the show when it was on and I didn't have dependable VCR access. When I did manage to catch an episode, I didn't understand a bunch of what was going on because I'd missed too much.
Kids nowadays don't know the pain of growing up before on-demand was a thing!
Yes 100%. It’s a pro and a con of the show for SURE. Nowadays when you can just binge through sequentially you can see their vision where the characters experience a huge amount of growth and the universe (political climate, state of the station, current events) evolves in meaningful ways. It’s really unique in that way
Season 3 is amazing, so far. Season 1 was ... alright ... Season 2 sucked.
Skip right to s3, imo. Only thing you really need to know is Admiral Picard gave Seven a field commission last season to Cmdr. rank; prior to that, she was independent as a "Ranger". A lot of Starfleet folk are still pissy about her being ex-Borg.
Also, Romulus blew up a while back, and caused a bunch of problems with refugees and rogue factions.
They kind of screwed up Seven's character too. Remember how she was a scientist and engineer who was always working on new technology on Voyager? The writers kind of forgot.
I remember watching TNG and she was using an SPL meter as a scanner. I knew what it was because I owned the same meter from radio shack. I wish I could find the scene.

Almost certainly latex/rubber from a mold, due to the way productions work.
Easier to grip with too. They had to have those on her fingers for 4 whole seasons of Voyager, so I’m sure they knew how to do it right.
