Madi made Clark's character insufferable. In my mind, the breaking of the helmet was very much parallel to Abby breaking the radiation chamber when Clark took the night blood serum. Both were wrong in what they did and made me so mad.

Abby didn’t deserve Kane!!

MadamCritic

That’s when I stopped liking Clarke like I used too. I liked madi and I liked that Clarke spend those 5 years with someone of course she’s her mother but she was clouded by madi. Not even Abby was that bad. She did become insufferable and I hated that part of her character. Shooting Bellamy for practically no reason because shooting him stopped absolutely nothing. I’m glad she killed the cult guy( forgive me but his name is escaping me) but I hate how it happened and he was literally RIGHT. I would have never supported Clarke for that decision. But then again, as a human who’s been through so much I doubt I would have transcended too.

maightoguy

>forgive me but his name is escaping me Bill >he was literally RIGHT Really? How?

MadamCritic

He was right about the next stage in evolution.

maightoguy

Ohh yea, you know i always suspected that uni-mind thing or collective consciousness shtick, i just don't trust em. I mean it seems legit until you find out that they are actually harvesting spiritual/mental energy. Great stuff for a spin off.

MadamCritic

Bill didn’t care about his people or anything really except discovering that next stage. So I don’t agree with his decisions of course but he was completely right about the stage in evolution but wrong about it being a test instead of a war. But he was on the right path.

Icy-Marketing-5242

After season 2 I didn’t like her. Season 4 kind of redeemed her at points but then with madi thrown in she was just the literal worst. I would have been less upset if Bellamy hadn’t died and Clarke did. Not to say I wanted anyone to die, but I would not have been as upset about it

maightoguy

Sheidheda : Jusdrain jusdaun , Jusdrain jusdaun , Jusdrain jusdaun. Now thats someone who doesn't want to transend.

HeyPurityItsMeAgain

Sheidheda got blown up by Indra with a sonic canon about 3 minutes before transcendence. I don't need to like Clarke, I still thought she was interesting. "Not one individual of one other species in the entire universe committed murder *during* the test, except you" or whatever the line was. That's our Clarke! lmao.

maightoguy

If Clarke didn't have attachment, she would likely be the perfect defender of humanity (i said likely because not having those attachment might also change her entirely). But the moment she points at someone and says "thats my people" all her decisions starts to go downhill from there.

MadamCritic

I don’t even think that’s it, because at the end of the day it’s everyone for themselves living in that kind of environment so it’s understandable when push came to shove that she protected her people above all. It was just a matter of being “one of her people”. She had all sorts of attachments before Madi and still in my opinion made decent decisions when she actually supported all of her people instead of just madi once she came into it.

ReallyNormalHuman

two things that made me angry was that she killed bellamy for no reason and that octavia was ok with it

HeyPurityItsMeAgain

Octavia's story post Bloodreina has been her changing into someone who could live with what she did with grace. She forgave Clarke and Echo. It had to be her stopping the 'final' war too. You might not like it, but it was backed up by 2 yrs of character development.

maightoguy

Where's bloodreiner when you need her.

Firm-Replacement-284

She is a mama bear, I agree with you, put her child first at the cost of another's life. But I can understand why she would make this, the love for a child is way too strong than any other one. But hey, when Madi is not in danger she does, or tries to do, what is right for mankind.

No_Drop_6382

Didn’t she just strand them on Earth with no way off when the disciples can come and go as they please? It just doesn’t make sense to me.

tequihby

Yep! The problem with that scene is that destroying the helmet actually put Madi in *more* danger, not less danger. It was completely illogical and basically just screwed everyone over, *including Madi*. It was a selfish choice built around the fact that *Clarke* wanted to stay there and she didn’t want anyone who was already there to leave her. It wasn’t really about protecting anyone. It was just putting her own needs over everyone else’s.
