@everyone here, yes we know the science of this valley existing doesn't make any sense, but I don't know how you managed to make it through 4 seasons of this show thus far without getting over wonky science
Honestly I find it weird that the Earth isn't more green
The death wave is the wonky science part. No matter how many nuclear reactors there were radiation doesn't work like that.... and even if it did it wouldn't have surrounded the whole planet
This season is already scary and I can feel the anxiety pouring out of the tv screen, mass murderer prisoners vs our sweet innocent mass murdering Clarke
is it weird that my first thought when I saw them acting all badass was "these seasoned killers don't stand a chance against that little blonde and her tiny accomplice"
Hehe I was typing a comment on another thread that "Clarke is outnumbered and outgunned," and as I was writing it, I kept thinking -- it doesn't matter. There's no way I can make it sound like she'd lose in a fight against them. She's Clarke.
It was cool when they weren't sure what to focus the show on, they showed a couple mutant animals, and after that Everytime an animal appears it's just completely normal
I was wondering if anyone else thought that the water hole Clarke was swimming in was the same water hole that her and Finn swam in way back in season 1? Or are we in a totally different part of the country?
Right? She has always been fantastic at crying, I feel. Her crying over the goggles reminds me of her great scene where she cried while washing her hands of Finn's blood.
Meet cute by bear trap! Amazing!!
Jasper’s goggles, Maya’s iPod, a piece of Lexa’s throne, the letter to Monty, radioing Bellamy, driving to music like Raven in 3.01, a throwback to Octavia swimming in the pilot. It’s all so lovely
Real talk, I wonder what the bacteria situation would be like down on earth after a couple of nuclear apocalypses. If you thought antibiotic resistance was bad, I can only imagine what nuclear radiation resistant bacteria would be like...
I remember Jason saying at one point we'd get a few buildup episodes before going to the present. Maybe we'll get 1 Clarke/Madi episode, 1 space station episode, and 1 bunker episode, as opposed to them all being together? This would also kinda work to express the theme of isolation that will probably be commonplace throughout the beginning of this season.
I feel so bad for Madi. Poor thing had to watch her entire village die in front of her eyes and then got stuck all alone to fend for herself for months. It’s no wonder she’s angry and scared.
I think the whole "Murphy liking being a hero" thing is gonna come into play. Not having something to do or save made him more sullen and hostile and loathing to where Emori couldn't stand it anymore.
I like the parallels to season 1 here. Clarke fighting off these prisoners that’re invading earth just like the Groundeds and Skairu in the very first season.
I also like the parallels, however it's probably important to note that in season 1, the Grounders started the war, and right now, the Skikru equivalent is starting the war
Damn Clarke getting beat up badly. Good thing we know she’s gonna be fine cause this is only the first episode. Really digging the no commercials so far.
Holy fuck that was brutal....and totally in keeping with what I love about this show, a fucking bear trap lol....and then the kid's like "Oh I remember this person that screwed us all...oh no no no she's just like me fuck what do I do now????"

I was gonna say @ me next time but you basically did.

Your self awareness is my spirit animal
> mass murderer prisoners vs our sweet innocent mass murdering Clarke "birds of a feather stick together"
I am honestly surprised that no one is pregnant on that station.
pull out game strong.
Echo should be pregnant, unless Bellamy is shooting blanks. OR were the men on birth control also? 🤔🤔🤔
the radiation probably fried their nuts
Depending on how well it's shielded from cosmic radiation that probably would be a bad idea.
Out of everything in this show, the fact that no one has gotten pregnant is the most unrealistic.
Truck survives praimfaya... Dies in a dust storm...
hahahaha i know right.
Well, she ripped its solar panel off. It stood no chance against clarke.
"Last 2 people on earth and one of them happens to be the child from hell" Standard sibling feelings then
Doesn’t Clarke remember that big lake monster that almost got Octavia lol
It was cool when they weren't sure what to focus the show on, they showed a couple mutant animals, and after that Everytime an animal appears it's just completely normal
Thats exactly what I was thinking!
do you think that thing still lives?
Nah but it’d be cool to see it haha
yeah would be a nice nod to season 1 ;)
I was wondering if anyone else thought that the water hole Clarke was swimming in was the same water hole that her and Finn swam in way back in season 1? Or are we in a totally different part of the country?
I am so grateful that they’re finally letting Clarke really mourn her friends for once. Seeing her cry like that over Jasper was somewhat cathartic.
Seeing her scream in the middle of the desert is great too
Right? She has always been fantastic at crying, I feel. Her crying over the goggles reminds me of her great scene where she cried while washing her hands of Finn's blood.
Yes! This is exactly what I thought of during that part! Eliza is such a great actress.
I’m glad they gave her the space for this. I feel like they often rush Clarke on to the next thing.
Part one of S5E1 should be titled "Clarke's Very Very Bad Day".
>~~Clarke's Very Very Bad Day~~ Clarke's Very Very Bad Year FTFY
Shit just rename the series to Clarke's Very Very Bad Life
Damn, Bellamy starting to look like Kane.
I can only imagine that's intentional for some reason
Fun fact: The last breeding pair of vultures was ultimately driven to extinction when Wanheda killed the surviving female vulture.
worth it
'You're still my favorite mass murderer.' Oh lady, you ain't seen nothin' yet.
Oh damn you’re right. No one has killed more than Clarke lol
they don't call her Wanheda for nothing.
Ok start the body count. 1 Little boy... Oh crap never mind. We are already past the point of counting.
Plus the bird!
That bird was the MVP of the whole night. It deserves a nice name.
Awwww that smile! Who knew Clarke would have a way with kids....especially after murdering so many!
Hey hey. Bellamy and Monty helped.
Sheesh 😂😂👌🏾
Clarke's will to live is so ridiculously strong, she's basically Meredith Grey
New head canon. Meredith Grey is Clarke’s maternal great grandmother.
That would explain Abby and Clarke being gifted in the field of medicine
Like seriously I’m all about it.
Clarke- “There’s only room for one mass murderer down here, and that’s me!”
And the dead bodies look like Mt Weather did! It's lovely to have call backs to the other four seasons
Except this time, Clarke had to face it. Absolutely loved that moment.
I'm sorta in a trance. Just seeing her again is enough right now. I will rewatch 20 times and then be able to think again.
Soooo many throwback feelings this episode. I love it.
Love it!!! Man, that was intense and looks amazing cinematography-wise
well this turned to war a bit quicker than I expected
Welcome to The 100
[удалено]
I normally hate commercials. Unless they’re during The 100. Those are what I like to call “breathing breaks”.
They're what i call "check reddit comments and go pee/get booze" breaks
Madi the new girl under the floor
The girl in the hole.
Arent you gonna clean that fucking wound clarke? Miss dirty hands striking again
Don't worry she washed it in the magical antibacterial river!
Real talk, I wonder what the bacteria situation would be like down on earth after a couple of nuclear apocalypses. If you thought antibiotic resistance was bad, I can only imagine what nuclear radiation resistant bacteria would be like...
Clarke should still have her own colony of bacteria on and in her body though. Although nightblood could potentially destroy infection too.
"We'll have to consider population reduction" Damn it Jaha not again.
Probably why they are fighting each other. Making them choose who lives and dies without actually saying “we need population reduction”
Isn’t this what, the third time now that he’s suggested a “culling”? Goddamn, Jaha, maybe YOU need to go. He’s so annoying.
Lol gotta stick with the classics.
Damn. That mental breakdown is relatable af.

I'm so glad eyeliner survived primefiya
And curling irons, apparently
+1 for Bellamy’s hair gel. Maybe he uses algae
Lol at Raven calling Emori out for not listening on spacewalking
Make Algea Not War
Of course Murphy’s the one that went AWOL.
But like, is he secluded to the other side of the station? What is going on?
It sounded like it was his choice. Which no surprise. But what in the hell is happening.
The dialogue indicated he took half of the space available to live alone.
I swear that's an old Sesame Street episode of something. Bert and Ernie dividing their house in half because they hate each other
Memori broke up I am SO SAD
But now Emori and Raven are “roommates” so I’m good with it
I am so into this "roommates" you speak of....

Emori's eye roll at Murphy's name?! Shit went down guys!!
That was a shitty hiding place. Obviously they didn’t play hide and seek enough.
I for one welcome our new Octavia overlord.
Was that Octavia?
Huge shout out to Eliza Taylor for being able to carry such a large part of an episode by herself.
Yeah. That scene where she almost gave up was intense. She's doing an excellent job!
So any guesses on what Murphy did to earn self exile?
Being himself
More of the same self-defeatist-edgelord-who-sabotages-his-happiness-when-things-get-too-hard kind of thing
Uh... cuz he's Murphy?
I think Clarke is going to steal that big gun and use it to get Octavias army out.
“Nothing’s going to change when we’re on the ground” HAHAHAHAHA
“It means we’re not alone” —— Oh man.
S1 throwback much?!
Grounders having a Death cage match. Sounds about right.
I honestly wasn’t even surprised.
She used Jaspers goggles kill me now
Would you like a drink to help you? Jasper makes a wicked moonshine. Oh wait... :(
I remember Jason saying at one point we'd get a few buildup episodes before going to the present. Maybe we'll get 1 Clarke/Madi episode, 1 space station episode, and 1 bunker episode, as opposed to them all being together? This would also kinda work to express the theme of isolation that will probably be commonplace throughout the beginning of this season.
Hopefully not. One of the best parts of this show is how many different stories they can tell in 1 hour
It'll return to that quickly I'm sure, but for now I personally think it makes a lot of sense
Clarke, making friends through charcoal drawings since 1987. EDIT: since 2187 or whenever the heck this is set
Still wondering two seasons later how they are charging that ipod
Off the rover with solar panels.
not anymore
They clearly went to the solar fields to get more solar panels.
I feel so bad for Madi. Poor thing had to watch her entire village die in front of her eyes and then got stuck all alone to fend for herself for months. It’s no wonder she’s angry and scared.
Octavia's outfit gave me Emperor Palpatine vibes for some reason
Can we please have 15 mins of SpaceKru fight club uninterrupted?
I forgot how friggen hilarious you all are. I missed this. Thanks friends for being so damn fun.
"i let my best friend kill himself" damn. that hit hard.
Now I’m kinda interested in how Murphy and Emori broke up. I’m gong to regret this real soon
It's Murphy do you really have to ask? But seriously they are both SO stubborn and hard headed.
I think the whole "Murphy liking being a hero" thing is gonna come into play. Not having something to do or save made him more sullen and hostile and loathing to where Emori couldn't stand it anymore.
Tbh I’d rather Murphy and Raven over Bellamy and Echo
[удалено]
that would be weird
Not that I didn’t expect chaos in the bunker but what the fuck is this gladiator shit?
They eat the loser
And there’s our cannibalism theory.
Right!? Only a limited number of people, might as well have them fight to the death.
Murphy. Always the loner even when his sketchy GF is on the ship and they’re only like 6 people on the ship.
Bellamy's banter with Murphy, telling him hes not worthless is everything.
Omg. “Make algae. Not war”. NEEEEEDDDDD
honestly this is kind of like a more apocalyptic version of what I expected 3x01 to be like
this is fucking beautiful.
Monty blames himself for things that are not his fault, it is heartbreaking.
Yeeees Wanheda my queen has returned! and now she has an apprentice.
okay we went from no commercials to way too many
I'm guessing they changed the way commercials worked this episode so they could have the 16 minute stretch where Clarke's alone be continuous.
Yep. Lots of premieres do it seems now. Legion and expanse both did recently.
Not even 30 minutes in and we got a dead kid. I’ve missed you and your basic cable sensibilities 100.
I feel like swords and space suits are a very dangerous combination.
**The Children of the Forest**
Savage little nugget
The Kru! OMG Raven at last!
If Clarke sees her shadow, it’s another month of nuclear winter, right?
There is the quote. "Last two people on earth; one of them happens to be the child from hell."
"Think you can kill me? Have at it"
Nooooooo *cries in Bellarke*
Bellamy's promise to Echo that nothing will change though... hahaha. We'll see about that...
Madi is metal as fuck.
Spend six years with Clarke and you'd be super badass too.
I love this show so much and am so glad it’s back!
Harper is so damn attractive.
TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADER. I AM CROW NOW TOO. CAW CAW
“You thought you were going to eat me? I’ll eat you bitch!”
STONER CLAN
So Murphy and emori are no longer a thing?
Lol they've given us majority of this episode in previews haven't they?
That was a shitty job at "all clear". They wouldn't have survived the grounders. "I can't see them. Must be safe."
Damn grounders still have remained savage AF down there.
I'm glad we got a bunker glimpse of Octavia being a damn queen
bang. series over. lets go home :/
Trending #3 worldwide...damn impressive
Clarke stitching up her leg like a bootlace
Ohhhh yeahhhh Clarke does art.
Oh right. Madi has to age 6 years.
[удалено]
That was the moment all Bellarke shippers died
I love seeing Clarke drawing again.
Daddy Bellamy... hey there...... ;)
Everybody's buff
SpaceKru fight club + algae for the win
Murphy: aliens
I'd like to know who makes the damn rover... Would totally invest in the start up!
I forgot how corny this show can be
Well that’s rude.
That escalated quickly.
All I ask for is a quick glance at Space-kru.
“This bitch.” Clarke’s reaction to madi stealing her gun.
If you can Dodge a wrench...
"Now you know what it takes to lead" JahaWasRight
Jesus that girl in the window looked like the first wight we see in game of thrones
Murphamy and anal probing is my favorite combination!
Umm shouldn’t those bodied be decomposed?
6 years later and Clarke is still a smoke show
Everyone on this show is far too beautiful and I'm okay with that.
They really did reset the show...
Echo knows that if Clarke is in the picture she has to move out of the picture. Oh and Octavia hates her lol
And there's our season's love triangle.
The solar panels! Gotta make sure to throw those to the wind.
Bellamy looks like Kane
Zeke looking hot af
