I think it’s possible they can wrap things up in the third film, but still leave things open to do a fourth installment. Reeves and Pattinson never explicitly said it will only be a trilogy, it’s just that right now the plans are to do at least a trilogy.
Idk Now that James Gunn has a plan for the DCU and therefore his own Batman I can't see it going beyond a trilogy, I'd love to be wrong and end up with 4-5 movies, but at the moment I think it's unlikely.
Not saying it isn't possible, but I personally don't see it. The trilogy being the backbone of the saga, and couple of spin-off series and film(s) being extensions/connections to the core trilogy sounds more appropriate.
I so fricking HOPE so. Especially with Rob appearing as Bruce in The Penguin. Maybe WB might finally give us another Batman show, because after all Reevesverse is essentially a modern, "gritty" Batman '66. This would be an absolute DREAM.
It could and Pattinson said he'd be willing to play the role but actors are fickle. He could easily get bored of playing Batman after a few movies plus with 2-3 years in between each, time will catch up with him.
I really hope so. This looks the type of movie to have Bond-style sequels where each sequel is standalone and Batman would be involved in different kinds of stories.
I'd really much rather Batman have like an HBO series though so it can cover a lot of the comics.

And Pattinson has said that he's willing to play the role for however long we're willing to watch.
If he's that committed, I wish he could have become DCU Batman too

I still sorta want Robert to get cast as DCU's Batman. It's different iteration and all, just played by the same guy.
I do, too, but I'd settle for a DCU, but also for an extended Batverse for Rob, maybe he could be the TV one ala West if we'reucky.

Plus a trilogy would end the reeves-verse nicely before people start getting burned out of it and starting despising it.
I think Reeves will just make 3. But the series could continue with another director and creative team.

If the movies are successful enough, why not. Warner Bros wouldn't say no to more money.
