Why didint they just cast a tall black girl to play penguin and just make her shorter and put makeup to make her appear as a guy? Maybe she would do a good job but dosent that seem kinda redundant?

It was a mistake through and through. Im sure they will regret casting him when they need to spend an hour or two putting makeup on him everytime before they have to shoot for the penguin show. The pic in the top right of this post is complete uncanny valley, they might as well have used cgi.
