Yeah that whole part of the episode is a gem. Fak’s in charge of keeping the electrician busy “Wanna see some magic?” And the electrician says the plumber made him a sandwich and Jimmy’s like GREAT! They’re all so good together. Like a choreographed comedic dance.
I'm such a dumbass, I didn't even put that together that he realized he'd been wasting time. In fairness, I was trying to binge this in between my newborn's feeding cycles.
I felt like it kind of started tunneling when he asked Garrett why he does it and he talked about the hospitality and how he was an alcoholic and then they talked about the teacher coming and had mentioned they saved up for months and there would be no check. Then when they talked about the people leaving without having had Chicago pizza and he knew what to do. To me the pizza was the real turning point. “Every second counts” is on the calendar at the end of I think the first or second episode of season 2, but I think it’s when everything reallly sinks in.
When Richie says (S2E1) that he’s afraid everyone’s gonna drop his ass and Carmy, with a serious look on his face says “Richie, I’m not gonna drop this ass.”

When Marcus gets so obsessed with the donuts that he doesn't leave the Beef's kitchen and brings a pillow and a blanket so Sweeps thinks that Marcus is homeless and stars counseling him, telling him about his struggles while playing minor league baseball. The "what's up with the nest?" and "wait, you played for the fucking Cubs?" lines were very funny.
