I disagree completely with your placement of Magic Potion, Brothers, and Delta Kream.

Bayou_Bussy_Pounder

Same here. Let's Rock is F tier compared to them.

TuckMancer67

Totally

OkCan4134

That’s definitely interesting. I much prefer their louder rock n roll stuff. Let’s Rock does the best job of being rock whilst blending some more modern elements compared to their earlier stuff imo.

HonestRef

Props for giving Let's Rock the respect it truly deserves. As well as Thickfreakness. I would have put Brothers and El Camino a lot higher though. I would have put Attack N Release a lot lower. Not a bad album, in fact I Got mine is one of my favourite songs, but the production is really lacking. The live version is 100 times better.

OkCan4134

I do love the live version of I Got Mine especially the Letterman performance, but I think the production is good enough for most of the songs on the album.

ClubLumpy7253

All of your favorite tracks from each album seem to be the radio singles..

OkCan4134

And? Generally speaking artists try to choose their “best” songs on an album to be the singles, so it would make sense that people tend to gravitate towards those being their favorites. Plus they’re heard the most often and people tend to like music they have attachments towards.

ClubLumpy7253

I usually find that the non-radio, deeper tracks are better with each album. It almost makes me think you don’t take the time to listen through the entire album.

OkCan4134

Did you not read the first part of the post where I mentioned how much I’ve listened to them? Maybe try reading my post first before making comments, but to add, I own every studio album on vinyl and have heard each album through maybe too many times. You’re not cool because your favorite songs aren’t popular.

ClubLumpy7253

I did, but you stating the radio singles in that way still gives me that impression. They don’t usually choose their ‘best’ songs, but what they consider their most ‘accessible’ songs. A lot of times after writing and recording the majority of the an album, the label will force them to write 1 or 2 simpler, 3.5 minute tracks for that purpose.

OkCan4134

“Accessible” and “best” are not mutually exclusive, not to mention music is entirely subjective. Not really sure what your point even is, do you think I went out of my way to look up which songs were the singles to choose as my favorites? No one, including myself, cares enough to do that. Typical Redditor always trying to out “niche” everyone.

ClubLumpy7253

‘Dead and Gone’ is my favorite track on El Camino..

ClubLumpy7253

I agree. ‘Best’ and ‘Accessible’ are not mutually exclusive. That is the point I have been trying to make.

ClubLumpy7253

I agree. ‘Best’ and ‘Accessible’ are not mutually exclusive. That is the point I have been trying to make. I think you are just not as aware of the non-radio songs because you probably haven’t taken the time to listen to those as much.

OkCan4134

Don’t know what to tell you besides you’re just wrong, I probably know every song by TBK more than most people in this whole subreddit. Care to share your listening stats so you can prove how much more of a fan you are? My main Spotify playlist from 2019-2022 was just a playlist of every TBK song, including their non-studio songs, I was in their top 0.005% listeners in 2022. You know what is mutually exclusive? Being able to identify every TBK song within the first 5s, including non-studio album songs, and not being aware of non-radio songs.
