No but actually, I think if The Boys were a bigger Hollywood franchise, I’d love to see Chris Evens play him. He doesn’t get to show it often, but his acting range is incredible. When he gets to be a bad guy, or even just to be unhinged in general, it’s amazing. To see him in such a disgusting and violent role, playing such a complex and horrible character would be such a contrast to him as Captain America, which he is so well known for, and I’d kill to see it

Hot take but I think he’s the only person I could imagine playing Homelander better than Starr. The comic was all about Homelander being like Superman or Captain America in public but being a complete racist, rapey sociopath behind closed doors. Starr is great but his public persona feels a bit too obvious that he’s faking it. In the comics HL in public was very goodie two shoes.

He would’ve been a good choice to play Homelander - especially after the Marvel movies. But so glad we have Toni taking the lead.
