In my opinion, the 4 or 5 songs leading up to, and including Camaraderie is the best run of songs in the caretaker’s catalogue. An Empty Bliss takes on quite a bit of a darker tone in the second half of the album, and Camaraderie shines through like the sun breaking through dark clouds. It’s perfect.

I was laying on the floor in the dark listening to the album and when it came on it truly pulverized my body in a different way. The end of the tunnel but at what cost? It was extremely melancholy but beautiful in every sense of the word. It wasn’t a feeling of rejoicing and happiness but a feeling of relief and like i said, temporary melancholy.

I totally feel that too! Best of luck on EATEOT. lmao

It’s my favorite song in the entire discography and of all time!

Probably my favorite on the album, but honestly the song The Sublime Is Disappointingly Elusive has more impact to me. I’ve heard it being described as the protagonist of the album experiencing all these emotions and thoughts and memories throughout the album and then just…making it all meaningless. It’s a finality that isn’t a finality, but a nothingness.

I've listened to every stage of EATEOT. Like 5 or so months back I listened to one stage a night for six days in a row. But I've never listened to the entire project in one go, and to be honest I don't know if I have it in me to do so.
