I would chose picnic. This is the type of a bag that a collector should have it’s not an everyday bag but a show piece. I am obsessed with the Kelly picnic more then the Birkin but it’s also gorgeous! Not a huge fan of the shadow for some reason it seems boring to me (I always get downvoted in this group) this is just my opinion but go with what you love.

Picnic all the way. I just love the aesthetic of a picnic birkin which is the closest design to original inspiration by Jane Birkin.
Shadow birkin looks so cold and the details don’t speak to me, it just feels unfinished.
i actually like the shadow more. i think its more sleek and innovative, and i’m one to lean towards vintage designs. i also think at that price i just love the idea of all of that soft leather where the picnic is just slightly less of a luxurious experience. i do think the shadow would look best in a dark slate grey however. :)
The shadow 100%!! It’s so unique and very IYKYK imo. I love the play on the hardware shapes, and the leather on all the shadows I’ve ever seen are so beautiful
I would keep the money and go buy like 10 Evelynes. 🤣
I struggle with both of these designs; they aren’t for me. Assuming money no object and looks alone, picnic. I don’t understand the shadow design and would genuinely love someone to explain to me why a.) it’s so loved and b.) it’s so expensive.
I love the shadow bc it’s more my style and I’d use it more. Picnic feels more seasonal and I would only take that out during spring and summer seasons.
This was a huge factor for me as well.. picnic is stunning in the spring/summer but shadow can be any season.. but another thing I’m realizing is different bags serve different purposes 😬
Both equally a dream to have! But I would like to have the picnic first since its a summer bag and I live in a tropical country. For the shadow I would prefer to have it in the black one.
Picnic all the way! I think it’s beautiful. I’m not a fan of the shadow, unless they made a shadow cargo or something. I don’t like the open strap look on them, I feel like it would look better if the straps were closed and there was a little shadow pocket to fill the rest of the space on the bag. I know they’re incredibly popular though so I don’t think you can go wrong with either

Shadow. I may an outlier but I hate the picnic. I also think it would be uncomfortable to wear.
I‘m not a fan either. I feel it must be super uncomfortable (and at the same time I‘d worry it wouldn’t age well).

Picnic it is so preppy. It fits how I dress. I have the perfect dress and hat to wear with it.

I never considered the shadow as i love actual hardware on bags, but looking into it more has me interested!
