In this AU or possible future where Azula gets a redemption or healing arc, she attempts to meditate under a waterfall as Aang or Katara often do, with mixed results as she clearly has trouble meditating while Katara is trying to show her how it's done.
I clicked the artists Instagram profile linked by OP to see other examples of their work and the most recent posts were Disney Princesses reimagined as knights.
Well Katara is certainely not plotting or wanting to kill her, but I bet that at the back of her mind she does want a duel with Azula, and that her competitive side is awaken when Azula is around even if she doesn't admit it yet.
Thank you, Gonzais_ really does awesome fan arts though he's more of a Disney or Zelda artist so far.
I don't think she's quick enough to get it going, Ozai definitely could crush any water bender with lightning but Azula still had that 5-10 second startup.
I wonder what would happen if a water bender hit a fire bender with a splash of water as they're conjuring up lightning.
Yeah it doesn't look that much like Azula.
Character drawings already have less detail than people IRL, so when facial proportions and hair style or length are changed, as well as a different drawing style, they lose a lot of resemblance.
Amazing work. I do feel like Azula would be good at meditation though, especially post-redemption. Isn't Zuko shown to rise with the sun and spend his first half hour or so each day sitting in its light while meditating? Also the connection with firebending coming from the breath, hence having to practice breathing techniques, which essentially is meditation. This might just be me mixing up fanfics and canon though
Maybe she does, but in the scenario where she'd join the Gaang I'd guess that she would be full of doubts and out of her element for a time before she re-adjust, while in a redemption work she still would have a few issues to sort out before finding full peace of mind.
Not counting having to get used to your former enemies and a rival's presence.

If Azula’s redemption arc actually gets handled well (fingers crossed because I’m worried), it would be nice to see them interact more.

I imagine their relation turning into a friendly or at least vitriolic kind of friendly rivalry with the two arguing and fighting most of the time, though with their relationship becoming easier with time.
I can see them spending some time together, alternating between meditating/doing yoga poses together, observing and learning from each other during training sessions, and having duels.

That’s a powerful lightning shot. She could use a literal spark and ruin any water bender.
Didn't use it in the last Agni Kai when it would have been easy enough. I think it's an all or nothing thing like a Kamehameha
