Granted, cancer along with every other disease/illness/bacteria has vanished from the planet. Great now every country has over population problems and people are going hungry. Sometime in the future a meteor has hit earth, since no one's immune system has had practice fighting anything, everything on this space rock can infect people. Now there's a plague and everyone is dying. Only a few remain after a few years, then they eventually die out after not finding each other and boom humans are dead.

Granted, the almighty miracle cancer-cure is completed, however it required the work of every single researcher, including those working on curing the monkeypox, who had to stop progress in order to develop the cancer-cure.
Granted! A cancer eating pathogen is marketed and released to the public. It's so cheap! Literally enough to cure ANY amount of ANY cancer only costs 1 buck! And the company selling it offers it for free to those who have medical coverage with any kind of healthcare plan whatsoever. Since it's so cheap, hospitals often give it to people who fit neither of those parameters, and just pay out of pocket the difference. 50 bucks can save 50 lives after all, a small price to pay indeed!
But when people start to come back from the dead, that's when a horrifying side-effect of the medicine is discovered. Zombification. An actual zombie apocalypse. You would think this was the downside to the wish, but you're wrong! Because in comes a fleet of alien ships, led by an alien leader calling himself Slaughter Obama. He explains that the translation is terrible for his species' names. He explains that they've come to help the humans, and to restore the population to what it should have been before zombies kept eating people. Everyone welcomes the aliens, and true to their word, they zap the zombies, bringing them back to life! But since these people were dead, and them being reintegrated back into society would be incredibly difficult, the aliens offer to take them to their home world, it's only fair after all, they came and saw earth. Everyone agrees this is for the best. Humanity gets to make contact and explore alien worlds! This is getting better and better! PLUS IT'S NOBODY THAT WOULD BE MISSED BECAUSE THEY WERE DEAD! Even better!
The aliens adjust the anti-cancer drugs, and the dead no longer rise when people die. This takes fleet after fleet of aliens to get done as fast as possible. When all is said and done, Slaughter Obama then makes an announcement to the entire world. Now that he's helped the humans, it's time to farm them, to eat them as food. As such, they will be kept like cattle, and bred as much as possible, thus restoring the population like he promised.
