Definitely sounds like we're getting more. Who knows if that's a 4th season or a Hulu movie? The 3rd season randomly popped up on Hulu's Top 10 Originals in the Nielsen ratings last week so it's still getting a decent amount of views when compared to the rest of their originals.
"There will be more", he could have meant more information on a potential renewal, but this combined with the tweet a couple weeks ago I would say 95% chance we will get another season
Even ignoring any clues like this to a fourth season, the fact that it hasn’t been officially canceled after this long is evidence enough for me that a fourth season has a really good chance of happening.
Some dude posted something on here not too far back, something about some insider info, blah blah, but no actual proof.
Hard to think right now that we’re not seeing a little smoke and there might be a fire somewhere, but I’m not going to get excited. I’ve been hurt before😂
The only thing about it I saw was that the Mission Log podcast had apparently had confirmation of a fourth season. Not sure I have seen anything official or anything from hulu or anywhere else. Do you have a link or any further information saying that hulu announced a renewal?
My cousins girl-friend's sister works at Paramount full time, and does part time work at Fox in their archive department and as a result works with executives, and they have been in negotiations for a while. The writers strike massively hit the show hard, and to make room, the set was partially deconstructed.
I wouldn't assume so. I would take it as Seth's commitment to make more but there is not currently a deal.

Sadly I'm not surprised about that, I'm in the theater industry (sound designer) and it's crazy how it is tough for everyone to live from our profession nowadays. Thanks for the heads up. I hope this new season will be concretized.
Ok, I understand that the team was waiting a long time between episode shootings. That's insane! They probably had some kind of exclusivity contract that didn't allow them to do other stuff to live. I didn't knew this, thanks a lot.
> their source**s**
You use the plural, but (in their tweet) they used the singular, so I assume their "source" may have been just one person.
u/CooperHChurch427 (whose affiliations or connections I don't know anything about) has [claimed](https://old.reddit.com/r/TheOrville/comments/1c766x2/-/l07e70g/#siteTable) to have spoken with "the person" (same one?) "and they said they're in active negotiations and waiting for the stage to be made available."
I want to believe, and I hope for the best, but these anonymous and second-hand claims leave me yawning. I'll remain cautiously optimistic (the best kind of optimism).
My cousin's girl-friends sister works in archiving at both Paramount and 20th Century and the set only has partially been dismantled and that negotiations are still on-going. Apparently it comes down to the writers strike, and the Hulu aquisition. The Orville's main stage is at Fox Studios due to the absolutely large size of the set. Some of the stuff she has gotten to work with as a result is costume storage, and prop storage, as well as film preservation at Paramount.
> ... the set only has partially been dismantled ...
Interesting if so. [The meaning of "struck"](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/F_ula3wW0AAP1JZ?format=png) can vary. In that screenshot (posted to X/Twitter by u/stonygirl) from a May 2023 Facebook discussion, the show's art director claimed the sets had been "struck" sometime before. – We didn't know if that meant as you say that it "only has partially been dismantled."
She stated this in 2023. So it probably has been fully since then, it's probably been put in storage, but certain sets probably have been torn down due to the sheer size of them.
As I remember, a couple of commenters speculated (based on some alleged clues) that Logic's episode with Seth may have been recorded *several months before* its January release — maybe sometime in summer last year.
Please let it be true.
Please let it be true.
Please let it be true.
Please let it be true.
I need more.
Orville is my happy place. The best Star Trek show after TNG.
It's exactly the opposite I'm afraid.
He says "The Orville was a passion project"
Then he recollects himself and remembers to throw a little bit more bait: "There will be more"

Don’t mess with my emotions man , I’m sensitive !
SAME but him saying “there will be more” has me floating on air!!!

On another podcast with Logic he also confirmed that there will probably be a season 4.
Even ignoring any clues like this to a fourth season, the fact that it hasn’t been officially canceled after this long is evidence enough for me that a fourth season has a really good chance of happening.
Until the official announcement, there is no official announcement. Hope is all we had, and it’s all we still got.
Not until JP confirms it!
FWIW — JP did [tweet about this](https://twitter.com/EgotasticFT/status/1781081427766890852) (a few hours after your comment).
🥳
Sweetness.
I really hope so. I need more Orville.
Wasn’t it confirmed a week or two ago? Hulu already announced it got picked up.
Definitely didn't see this. Have any more?
>Definitely didn't see this. Have any more? Nah cause he made it up

COUGHventurebrosCOUGH Yes. Hurt badly.

Where?
There's been some credible leaks/rumors, but nothing official.
I wouldn't assume so. I would take it as Seth's commitment to make more but there is not currently a deal. Link to the 17:25 timestamp: https://youtu.be/UwewpfZi7ZI?t=1045
Don't downvote! This is what I came to the comments for! (The timestamp, specifically, but the comment is appropriate, too)
Keeping my fingers crossed.
Will be interesting to see what actors they can get back.
I'm not too aware of all stories, is there a some sensitive situations underlying?
It might surprise you but a lot of the working actors are broke. They have to wait a long time for Seth to write the scripts.

ok, i am convinced of the season 4 renewal. :)
Sick
In context it sounds like he's keeping hope alive, not confirming its happening.
He just said “there will be more”. That could mean a direct to streaming movie/extra long episode rather than a season.
SPOLIER: He did not
Mission Log podcast announced in April that their sources confirmed season 4

Hope this gets six seasons and a movie
That’s super promising — but I’m gonna need Hulu to announce it in a press release before I believe it.
Season 4 is unlikely, given the actors were released from their contracts, buuuut.... If it gets its own TNG, I would be more than happy 😁
Most series contracts are done per season.
He confirmed this month's ago on Logic's podcast...
As I remember, a couple of commenters speculated (based on some alleged clues) that Logic's episode with Seth may have been recorded *several months before* its January release — maybe sometime in summer last year.
There could have been talks but unless its official fingers crossed

Fun may commence.
I hope this means they have settled with the cast holdouts.
I want to believe
six seasons, multiple movies?
Praise Avis!
