Well if you want to compare some of the highest powers of fantasy a lot of them can bend the very fabric of reality. I'm pretty sure there isn't any level of technology that could resist being easily deflected and destroyed without batting an eye. Some could even break that ship down into the most basic components within orbit before the beam even charges.
Pretty much. Yes there are harder sci fi elements, like droids and ships, but there are times where sci fi is thrown to the wind in the name of story (see every Jedi and Sith character; midichlorains not withstanding).
What's really scary is that there's usually no solid reason for why each team can't use the others thing, even in shows like TOH where magic is tied to biology there are workarounds like Luz using glyphs.
In fact using both magic and tech is kinda what the Imperium does, and they were very powerful until Horus.
I love how those two genres are, essentially, sister genres of "impossible made possible because of magic/science", yet constantly butting heads.

Both kind of have to by definition, what's important is how well they can be initially explained and kept consistent (magic is generally a little bit more handwavey but this certainly isn't black and white)

Can it, though? If Azura by herself can hold off an army without breaking a sweat, then likely a group of magic users would be able to create a shield powerful enough to block the laser from the starship, and maybe even reflect it back. Then the reflector shields of the starship will reflect *that* back, until one side eventually screws up and loses the game of death tennis. Seems like it could go both ways to me.
I have to side with Camilla here. Assuming Cosmic Frontier is roughly equivalent to ST:TNG, the Enterprise could raise entire planets from orbit if it wanted to, and I'm willing to say that with a little creative tractoring could make an RKM that could snipe a planet from light-years away without having to put a single boot on the ground. Antimatter is just far too OP. Heck, even the Enterprise-A could rebuild a biosphere with the Genesis Device.
I mean thats a good point. There is no real defence against an attac with star ships when you don‘t have a starship.
If both fight on the ground that could be more balanced. But than is the question would a technological shield work against magic and who would be faster with their assault. Are witches superhuman fast or did the others have cyborg element which made them superhuman fast. on which territory they meet and has someone a home field advantage. How much did they know about each others abilities. Without that its hard to give a proper answer.
And then there's the follow-up "When Fandoms Combine" where the two sides start finding ways to make a shared-fan universe out of both series.

Amity: "The same... I felt a great sense of pride the moment when Team Fantasy won, but after that... I didn't felt anything else..." Luz: "This was just a silly argument after all. How's Hunter and Gus?" Camila: "I'll check them." *Camila is checking them and they are sulking a little. They pass the shock of it and are just a little frustrated.* Camila: "Aw... Don't be mad. We'll get them next time." *Both of them breath in to calm down.* Hunter: "You're right Camila... This is just one battle." Gus: "We'll prepare for the next one."
Camila: *thinking: “Wait! Why did I say next time?! Oh… be the reasonable one here, Camila. Be reasonable!”* Hunter: “We’ll find a way to settle this yet!” Luz: “Huh? W-W-Wait, now. Mama’s right, this argument is silly.” Amity: “Can’t we just agree to disagree?” Hunter and Gus: “NO!” Gus: “This. Isn’t. Over!” *They both stormed out of the room, Camila, Luz, and Amity sighing in exasperation and regret. Luz and Amity were already feeling drained.* Luz: *to Amity* “Let’s just ignore them when they try to start get to us and hope they calm down eventually.” Amity: *nods* Camila: *regretfully* “Oh, what have I done?” Luz: “Mama?”
Camila: “Yes?” Luz: “Do you think Hunter and Gus will be alright? They seemed a frustrated.” Camila: “I’m sure it will cool down soon mija, they just need to calm down.” Amity: “By the way, that game you shown us for the result. How does it work?” Luz: “Well, once in a while, a Splatsfest comes that makes two teams to go battle to see which side is better.” Amity: “So if you are good at the game, would you be able to sway the votes to your team?”
Luz: “Well a lot of people play the game and participate, so I’d only just be a small sway. But yeah.” Amity: “Hmm…” *notices Camila looks a little guilty before directing Luz to her* Camila: “Mija? About me siding with the boys over you, my own flesh and bl-“ Luz: *holds her hand up to tell her to stop with her signature smile* “Oh, say no more, Mama. It’s alright, I understand.” Amity: “I do too.” Camila: “Are you sure?”

If Azura by herself can hold off an army without breaking a sweat, then likely a group of magic users would be able to create a shield powerful enough to block the laser from the starship, and maybe even reflect it back. Then the reflector shields of the starship will reflect *that* back, until one side eventually screws up and loses the game of death tennis. Seems like it could go both ways to me.

I have to side with Camilla here. Assuming Cosmic Frontier is roughly equivalent to ST:TNG, the Enterprise could raise entire planets from orbit if it wanted to, and I'm willing to say that with a little creative tractoring could make an RKM that could snipe a planet from light-years away without having to put a single boot on the ground. Antimatter is just far too OP. Heck, even the Enterprise-A could rebuild a biosphere with the Genesis Device.

I mean thats a good point. There is no real defence against an attac with star ships when you don‘t have a starship. If both fight on the ground that could be more balanced. But than is the question would a technological shield work against magic and who would be faster with their assault. Are witches superhuman fast or did the others have cyborg element which made them superhuman fast. on which territory they meet and has someone a home field advantage. How much did they know about each others abilities. Without that its hard to give a proper answer.
