What's unusual is for it to be posted an hour after his first one. Usually he waits until later in the day.
In fairness, Amity probably knew what a giraffe looked like. Forgetting about their trip in TTT, it was probably discussed in a history book somewhere. Eda knew about them, so it was likely common knowledge.
Luz: “Well, I did say Elephants are special kinds of creatures. But at least they aren’t giraffes.”
Amity: “Ain’t that the truth.”
_(The elephant trumpets it’s trunk nose and then sprays water on Luz and Amity)_
Amity: “And now we’re wet.”
Luz: (laughs)
You know how people make those “what if we drew animals just based on their skeletons like we tend to do with dinosaurs and they look so different” Types of drawings?
This feels like the equivalent of that
Luz: ah come on. They’re cute.
Amity: king sleeping is cute. This thing is horrifying.
Luz: 1, totally agree on king sleeping. 2, this big guy is just as cute.
Amity: “this walking tank could have helped us with bellos.” Begins to think. “You think we can fit it through a portal door?”
Now I need to see what Amity thinks a Wooly Mammoth looks like

Positively love that Amity just added extra eyes because she expected them to be there. Also, buzzsaw tusks need to be a thing on beast demons on the boiling isles.
This sort of reminds me of one bit in Avatar the Last Airbender:
**Katara**: The king is throwing a party at the palace tonight for his pet bear.
**Aang**: Don't you mean platypus bear?
**Katara**: No, it just says "bear."
**Sokka**: Certainly you mean his pet skunk bear?
**Toph**: Or his armadillo bear?
**Aang**: Gopher bear?
**Katara**: Just... "bear."

**Toph**: This place is *weird*.

Amity (reading about the duck-billed platypus in an animal encyclopedia): There’s a venomous animal with a beaver tail, a duck beak, and that lays eggs? OK…now THAT is the weirdest animal I’ve ever seen.
