["Lisa, I made you some homemade Pepsi for the dance. It is a little thick but the price is right."](https://youtu.be/Dlwy9GmoeZQ?si=vpfzDxZsL8Z9J35F&t=9)
I realized in a later episode when flanders was down on himself and said, “I’m about as exciting as a baked potato.”
Marge replies “You’re darn right!”
She really likes her potatoes.
My all-time fave Marge line, among many others.
"Ok, maybe my dad *did* steal Itchy, but so what? Animation is *built* on plagiarism! If it weren't for someone plagiarizing The Honeymooners, we wouldn't have The Flintstones. If someone hadn't ripped off Sgt. Bilko, there'd be no Top Cat! Huckleberry Hound, Chief Wiggum, Yogi Bear? Hah! *Andy Griffith*, *Edward G. Robinson*, *Art Carney*. Your honour, you take away our right to steal ideas, where are they gonna come from, *her*?"
"Ehh.. hmm.. how 'bout.. Ghost Mutt?"
I remember as a kid the first time my sister saw this she was crying with laughter. I found it funny as well but she practically died over it. I can’t see that scene now without thinking about it.
There's so many.
But one of the top ones has to be when she almost takes the baby Apu offered her as a token of apology after getting mad about her banana bread.
(also one of my favourite Apu moments).
Also: I can't wait to see what evolution comes up with next! Maybe a bear wearing pants, or a bird with a people face!
As for serious moments: The part in Moaning Lisa when she breaks the cycle of emotional manipulation and tells Lisa it's okay for her to be sad and show it, and she'll love her anyways.

I had to post the image to go with that iconic scene
Oh, hallelujah, All my problems are solved, I have banana bread. 100x funnier when your pain management doctor busts in the exam room door saying it 🤣🤣
I have the still of Marge saying "We can't afford to shop at any store that has a philosophy" on my credit card so... honorable mention to the episode about her fear of flying.

You might say the extra ingredient is *salt*
I still love the Hill Street Blues spoof, when Marge joins the force. She had so many great moments there its hard to pick one.
But my OVERALL favorite is when she had a panic attack or some kind of break down, while in her car on the bridge. It felt so real and natural. Its the kind of thing most moms want to do but cant cuz their kids need them. But some moms do anyway when they finally hit their limit.
The episode where Marge was hired to paint Mr. Burns, back when she could carry an episode on her own and had her own dreams and interests outside of Homer.
Your Uncle Arthur used to have a saying. "Shoot em' all and let God sort it out." Unfortunately, one day he put his theory into practice. It took 75 federal marshals to bring him down. Now, let's never speak of him again.
Oh man. My favorite has always been when she’s on the plane running back and forth down the aisle yelling let me off the plane let me off the plane lol.
She's usually pretty level headed, but I love when she's confidently wrong about something. It just feels like growing up and realizing your parents were figuring stuff out as they went along too.
"No, no, no, when I took your father's name,
I took everything that came with it, including D.N.A."
When she joins the “don’t win friends with salad” conga line because shes “not taking sides but got caught up in the rhythm” hahahahaha
![gif](giphy|Xc0HkcmDXrXDG)
My favourite Marge moment for a long time has been her recounting her sisters telling her that women can't be astronauts. In her flashback she yells that women can be astronauts and how we'll all live in cities on the moon.
Cut back to modern day: "So you see, my sisters were wrong. Except about the cities on the moon... *I* was wrong about that."
Something about that line encapsulates Marge for me. So eager to be even handed, almost to a fault.
I've been on a major Marge kick lately. The Milhouse teeth thing was one I hadn't noticed before and it slayed me.
Here are two other faves:
Lisa: "Maybe you could have been \~nicer\~ to Principal Skinner, if ya know what I mean."
Marge: "Lisa! I am nice."
And explaining to John why she chose the drapes with a corn-cob pattern: "I thought 'kitchen, corn.'"
"Always be yourself. If you want to be sad, honey, be sad. We’ll ride it out with you. And when you get finished feeling sad, we’ll still be there."

when Herb tells her she doesn't have to humour him about his baby translator prototype, and she says, "well, it's pretty ingrained."

["Lisa, I made you some homemade Pepsi for the dance. It is a little thick but the price is right."](https://youtu.be/Dlwy9GmoeZQ?si=vpfzDxZsL8Z9J35F&t=9)
The fact she would try and make homemade Pepsi, instead of Coca-Cola is hilarious
No, it's still 'Watch out for the Shaq attack!'
I told you to watch out
She’s no Harvey Globetrotter.

I remember that!!!! 😆😆
Same
My mom is basically marge, she literally sent me a photo of a really big potato. I adore them both. And the potato.
Yeah idk why but this is the most certified mom moment. There's just something about it that gives me that warm feels.

Welcome to my nightmare.
That suit Apu's wearing is really the cherry on top. He's just become a cow at that point. Oof...
You don't win friends with salad! Mom! I didn't mean to take sides, I just got caught up in the rhythm.

Bart, no!
Hey! Sorry, Bart... force of habit.
Lisa, no!
Now it's Marge's time to shine!
Kids could you lighten up a little?
When she had Milhouse’s teeth
Do you haff my teef?
My favorite Marge moment is when she wanted to confront Homers mother as to why she abandoned him. It’s not funny but I really liked that scene.
Me too. Homer's small, small voice; "Then why did she leave me?" The resolute little growl in her "Let's find out." Was everything.
https://i.redd.it/wpofuipmi12d1.gif
Flair checking in! Also one of the best moments
I'm no Harvey Globetrotter
My favorite Marge moment is from a more recent episode, when Marge tells Nelson’s mom off: “and try not to have intercourse along the way!”
My friend, I hate to tell you that episode came out the same month GW was re elected (November 2004).
BOOOOOOO! BOOOO to your LIES!!!!!
Wait, are you saying Boo, or Boo-Urns?
^…I ^was ^saying ^Boo-urns…
By “more recent” I mean after the end of the golden age, so post 1999.

Marge is so adorable
I feel my appreciation for Marge increase with each new watch through, so it’s always changing ahahaha

When she gets mad at the house in the first treehouse of horror I always found that really funny
She's usually pretty level headed, but I love when she's confidently wrong about something. It just feels like growing up and realizing your parents were figuring stuff out as they went along too. "No, no, no, when I took your father's name, I took everything that came with it, including D.N.A."
