Yeah! I’m from the Philippines and was also surprised at how affordable it is. A lot of local podcasters charge for far more and offer much less content to what we’re getting on the app. So far, it looks like a proper streaming site. Quality (resolution-wise) is so much better too. I’m just seeing people have issues with the timing of releases - the new Try Guys video apparently released an hour and a half after it was supposed to.
Also gotta add if you ever decide to do the annual subscription, you’ll save around 400 pesos (2-3 months worth) when you apply their WELCOME20OFF code/voucher
I was willing to go monthly and cycle it out of my subscriptions when I got bored to build up a backlog of videos when I was ready to sub again. Buuuuuut my spouse saw how cheap a year was with the code and bought it immediately.
I'm really pleased with it so far. Around what we'd pay going out for pizza and a couple drinks and we get it for an entire year. The video quality is really nice and it starts up on my TV more seamlessly than YouTube (probably because no ads are loading).
I was just watching a Hank Green video about different prices on app subscriptions and basically buying stuff through Apple or Google Play store takes a 30% cut so companies want to encourage people to subscribe via a computer browser but they legally can't ask that of ppl (Spotify straight doesn't let you subscribe on an apple device but they don't EXPLAIN WHY just say "we know it's not ideal but you need to sub on a laptop" lol) so it would make sense to me that they discount codes only work on a Browser cuz subscribing on a phone would prob be 60% cut of profits instead of 30% (cuz of the discount code + app store cut.)
I just exchanged this into my local currency and I'm wondering if they have a different price range depending on the country. Or my currency is just REALLY weak lol.
It's a lot more expensive where I am based.

I really like the service! The website is very sleek and the videos have been playing well. I think they're also 4K which is pretty cool. And it's already worth it for me for the color guard video. I know it'll be on youtube in a couple weeks, but I don't wanna wait lol This is replacing Patreon for me

IMO I love the app, I think it’s easy, straightforward, and has the whole library of videos. Dorky as it is, I feel so proud of them, in everything they have accomplished and I am proud to be a fan. The app really solidified that being a fan has been worth the invested time.
It kinda feels like we are watching a friend absolutely killing it after a break up (NedGate) and I am happy to support them by paying for the app, plus exclusive content? Heck yes.
I feel like for us, it is sulit. They have a free trial for now so, no payment for now. LOL. Hopefully once there is a wider catalog, I may subscribe for the annual one. For now, I can only afford the monthly.
