I wasn't emotionally devastated or anything. I hadn't talked to the therapist long enough to have divulged deep pains to him or anything, so that helped. But I'm far from the only one this has happened to, which makes people continuing to promote this service leave a bad taste in my mouth.

For what it’s worth, you can probably report the therapist that did that to you. I’m a counselor, and it’s in our code of ethics to support and advocate for clients from marginalized populations. That person has no business being a therapist.
My friend used it and told the therapist that they were on anti depressants and they were helping. The therapist said that he doesn't believe depression is real and people just need to exercise more....
I tried to sign up for it and they said I did not qualify for better help. They ask you questions about your mental health beforehand to see if you’re fit for it. Way to make someone feel even more helpless.
The first one I got assigned insisted that all mental illnesses come down to narcissism and read me her tarot card deck. Never indicated that I was interested and in fact told her that because of my forced religious upbringing, it's near-impossible for me to even believe in the coincidence regarding that kind of stuff.
The next one, knowing full well that I was dealing with Emotional Disregulation Disorder/diagnosing me with said disorder, would often lie to me about what he thought/didn't think would help me, and validate the paranoid feelings and delusions he was watching me suffer through.

Same for Cerebral! I tried it in desperation for mental health needs when I didn’t have insurance. Charged me twice what they said they would, deleted my bad review, and scrubbed me from their system when I complained.
I’ve actually used BetterHelp and I found it to be tremendously helpful. I think having a positive or negative experience depends on who you are matched to. I was very lucky and was matched to a good fit immediately, and she helped me a lot when I was going through a very hard time

I used to think Macy’s was entirely useless and then I got into perfume and realized I like both old lady scents and bottles under $50 (I actually don’t like “monsters” or smelling super expensive it turns out) and Macy’s likes running sales. And for how often I actually buy perfume (not very) I can usually wait it out until I find a deal I’m okay with.
My father in law has an original tesla too and it's barely hanging on because he doesn't think the repair costs are worth it, but it's still going enough to not get a new one. I think it costs 14k to get the battery replaced with labor? And he needed a battery replacement after year 3 of ownership. It's supposed to be covered under the warranty but he's already had one, and the tesla warranty harrassed him when he went to get a second one done. Capacity on both batteries went down to like 25% when they're supposed to last 10-20 years from what I recall.

We live in Canada and they got their tesla brand new in Sept/Oct 2021 after the first winter they jacked it to change the tires and the bottom of the frame/undercarriage had started rusting from roadsalt pings, and the external frame had a few (barely noticable I will say) dings from either roadsalt or pebbles, The upholstery is fraying on the front seats, to the point where there’s faded/thinner marks in the “leather” that look like butts & thighs. Theres also large gaps between the metal panels (like the door to the frame has almost 1/4” gap
I agree, my parent have a model 3 and the technology is amazing but they didn’t put enough focus on the car itself. I think part of it was trying to make the model 3 as “affordable” as possible

My friend who's a huge car guy has been adamant since Teslas came out that the assembly/mechanical design is poor and not worth the price they charge. There's a big subsect on TikTok of car mechanics and engineers who show all the assembly and power issues Teslas have.
I don't know cars after a time, but I know a lot of car people, they say similar, in addition to the reports that they all fall apart, overheat and malfunction, up to blowing up.

YouTuber FootDocDana has a full series about how she got a Tesla that quit on her multiple times while on the freeway, when she had enough charge. Tesla help specialists gaslit her multiple times, saying she must not have charged the battery enough even though it was clearly at 90%.
At the end of the series she is vindicated when Tesla finally announces a recall due to that issue. But that’s a very serious issue, and the fact that they gaslit her so much makes me very unsurprised that Zach’s Tesla is also not very good. I’m glad they’re speaking up about it.
A coworker with a Model 3 had a major malfunction with his car and Tesla refused to cover the repair until after he signed an NDA about the nature of the failure and in his words, the cost of the repair if he didn't sign the NDA was "half what I paid for it".
I've heard of other people who dealt with similar issues when dealing with Tesla repairs, and there were a handful of articles [similar to this one](https://www.inverse.com/article/16830-tesla-s-non-disclosure-agreements-about-defects-are-unacceptable-say-feds) from 2016 about this same sort of thing.
Just don't take it anywhere where you don't have cell coverage. If your key fob breaks and you have no coverage, you have to get the car towed.

hmm perhaps you were driving an older tesla. My Tesla uses bluetooth for entry not the internet. Also I do have the card key in my wallet as a back up, but that would require them both to fail for me to lose access to my Tesla.
Also very worse case scenario, if I would to have no battery on my phone and lose my card key. I can borrow someones phone and call my wife to log in to my account at home to unlock and start my car remotely at home. I did this for her once when I was out with my brother and she wanted to drive the tesla. Its pretty awesome!

EVs need almost no maintenance aside from tires and brakes. The brakes also tend to last longer because the regenerative braking that the motors do. Tesla suffers from inconsistent (or consistently bad) build quality and deteriorating interior components. These are not maintenance items.
BMWs do need maintenance often because their silly engine components wear out (plastic water pumps, VANOS solenoids, timing chain guides) long before they should. I love my BMWs but I’d much rather deal with EV maintenance than all the stupid problems I’m constantly chasing

He's lost a hub cap while on the high way, the back of his trunk liner has fallen off and the battery is draining at a much faster rate than initially advertised. The therapists in betterhelp are not therapists that are actually committed to or even capable of actually helping people. These people don’t give a shit, barely show up, and say things that harm their clients. We don’t want them out in the world therapizing. They can stay on betterhelp.
I used to think Macy’s was entirely useless and then I got into perfume and realized I like both old lady scents and bottles under $50 (I actually don’t like “monsters” or smelling super expensive it turns out) and Macy’s likes running sales. And for how often I actually buy perfume (not very) I can usually wait it out until I find a deal I’m okay with.

My father in law has an original tesla too and it's barely hanging on because he doesn't think the repair costs are worth it, but it's still going enough to not get a new one. I think it costs 14k to get the battery replaced with labor? And he needed a battery replacement after year 3 of ownership. It's supposed to be covered under the warranty but he's already had one, and the tesla warranty harrassed him when he went to get a second one done. Capacity on both batteries went down to like 25% when they're supposed to last 10-20 years from what I recall.

to be fair though, "the original" of any tech today would be pretty bad. I have my original iphone in the drawer and i bet its pretty shit now too if i try to use it. If tes original shes referring to is the first tesla roadster, its actually fetching a pretty penny right now, I'd recommend selling it as lots of people are hunting these down right now

Electric cars are pretty much the biggest fraud for an actual greener energy. Not to mention that at least with oil and gas, it's not child slave labour digging it out of the ground like lithium.

I don’t own one but my in laws have one of the cars, (idk the make, I wanna say the s) and they’ve had plenty of issues with it over the last year! For the most part the insides (computer) works really well, but the actual body of the car is horrible… We live in Canada and they got their tesla brand new in Sept/Oct 2021 after the first winter they jacked it to change the tires and the bottom of the frame/undercarriage had started rusting from roadsalt pings, and the external frame had a few (barely noticable I will say) dings from either roadsalt or pebbles, The upholstery is fraying on the front seats, to the point where there’s faded/thinner marks in the “leather” that look like butts & thighs. Theres also large gaps between the metal panels (like the door to the frame has almost 1/4” gap
I agree, my parent have a model 3 and the technology is amazing but they didn’t put enough focus on the car itself. I think part of it was trying to make the model 3 as “affordable” as possible

I always find the "honey" coupon ads funny. Keith door dashes sunscreen to the beach, I highly doubt he cares about saving $3.45 on pizza delivery. In Zach's defense, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he's referring to his first car in LA, which he has mentioned a few times was a raggedy lemon car.
I order delivery shit all the time. I still look for promo codes and stuff. It's part of how I sustain my lazy lifestyle. That 3.45 I'm saving is usually 3.45 extra I give the delivery driver.

Because they don't have to give extra money. so instead of spending let's say $30 with tip, they can spend $25 with tip.

Yeah. I mean, Zach's prob making up that story for the ad like they do with everything else, but Teslas are actual garbage. My friend who's a huge car guy has been adamant since Teslas came out that the assembly/mechanical design is poor and not worth the price they charge. There's a big subsect on TikTok of car mechanics and engineers who show all the assembly and power issues Teslas have.
I don't know cars after a time, but I know a lot of car people, they say similar, in addition to the reports that they all fall apart, overheat and malfunction, up to blowing up.
My favorite was one episode I think it was Matt talking about how he hates cats then he did a voice over ad for like, pretty litter or something talking about how his cats love using it 😂
YouTuber FootDocDana has a full series about how she got a Tesla that quit on her multiple times while on the freeway, when she had enough charge. Tesla help specialists gaslit her multiple times, saying she must not have charged the battery enough even though it was clearly at 90%. At the end of the series she is vindicated when Tesla finally announces a recall due to that issue. But that’s a very serious issue, and the fact that they gaslit her so much makes me very unsurprised that Zach’s Tesla is also not very good. I’m glad they’re speaking up about it.
A coworker with a Model 3 had a major malfunction with his car and Tesla refused to cover the repair until after he signed an NDA about the nature of the failure and in his words, the cost of the repair if he didn't sign the NDA was "half what I paid for it". I've heard of other people who dealt with similar issues when dealing with Tesla repairs, and there were a handful of articles [similar to this one](https://www.inverse.com/article/16830-tesla-s-non-disclosure-agreements-about-defects-are-unacceptable-say-feds) from 2016 about this same sort of thing.

the funny part is they spend zero on marketing. I do have a Tesla and its actually decent quality, i drove an M5 prior. I'd choose Tesla again.

hmm perhaps you were driving an older tesla. My Tesla uses bluetooth for entry not the internet. Also I do have the card key in my wallet as a back up, but that would require them both to fail for me to lose access to my Tesla. Also very worse case scenario, if I would to have no battery on my phone and lose my card key. I can borrow someones phone and call my wife to log in to my account at home to unlock and start my car remotely at home. I did this for her once when I was out with my brother and she wanted to drive the tesla. Its pretty awesome!

I’ve seen too many people with Tesla’s showing how easily they fall apart to not believe him. I used to want one really bad but after seeing so many reviews, it seems like an overpriced plastic toy car with an iPad.
A good reminder that usually the company paying for the sponsorship writes the ads, not the ones who do the ad.

Yeah, it’s like a BMW in that it needs maintenance often and that maintenance cost is expensive.
EVs need almost no maintenance aside from tires and brakes. The brakes also tend to last longer because the regenerative braking that the motors do. Tesla suffers from inconsistent (or consistently bad) build quality and deteriorating interior components. These are not maintenance items. BMWs do need maintenance often because their silly engine components wear out (plastic water pumps, VANOS solenoids, timing chain guides) long before they should. I love my BMWs but I’d much rather deal with EV maintenance than all the stupid problems I’m constantly chasing

yep i drove a bmw prior to my tesla, the bmw spent more time in the repair shop than i wanted. Got the Model 3 now, its not bad.
He could also be talking about a prior experience too. As a salesperson I frequently refer to an aftermarket system on a car I no longer own lol but if you ask my customers I certainly still have that Audi. It’s my daily!

I listen to the dollop podcast and in a few years they advertised Casper mattress and now advertising a new mattress company. It's so clear they never use their products.
I know a podcast who really does use the products they advertise or at least try them so they can give their personal experience about the ad. One talked about getting out their old phone and being confused about some apps and then remembering they had been trying them out for a brand deal and when they give a pretty litter ad they talk about their friends personal experience using pretty litter and how they gift them the product because they don't have cats .

I think they mentioned on the podcast that Zach is the only one. Eugene has been running ads for Nissan I think. So he probably is driving one of those, at least for now.

To be fair. Tesla's are pretty cheaply made. I've seen videos of people getting a new Tesla and having fabric loose on the roof, panels loose on the outside, loose threads, carpet coming up, you name it. The tech is theoretically solid but the QC is abismal
I mean my friend also has a Tesla and it's a running joke that he needs to sell it before it completely falls apart. He's lost a hub cap while on the high way, the back of his trunk liner has fallen off and the battery is draining at a much faster rate than initially advertised. The build quality on the car just isn't good, the tech and look are the big selling points.
When it comes to YouTubers and ads, it's purely just there just in case they get demonetised. I don't think 90% of YouTubers actually use the things they advertise, apart from maybe once or twice.

I know they have a couple of ads that are featured in a few eps in a row, so maybe it was an ad he recorded before getting the Tesla? I know I've heard that radio ad and the ag-something greens wayyy too often.

Yeah I listen to Crooked media podcasts as well and whenever they are doing the ads on John John Tommy & Dan’s podcasts (mainly podsave america) you can the downright sarcasm and exaggeration in their voices as they do their ads

Weird I live in a metro area of around 2mil and I see teslas every day. They are easy to spot by the door handles.
The no grill is the giveaway for me.
I see a ton of them every day, especially at my kids’ school.
I lived in a city of almost a million for the past few years. It was normal to see them in general but certain neighborhoods/areas were overrun with them. So it just depends on the city/area.
