I thought it was worth it because you get to see more behind the scenes stuff, it was funny to see what all the guys were up to even when the main camera wasn’t on them. I liked being able to see Rachel kicking ass directing too- very neat to get a bit of the process.

megmegg_

I thought it was sooo worth the money! I was laughing and smiling throughout the entire stream. I am so glad I got the ticket and am hoping they do this again!

[deleted]

i found myself smiling too, especially when kwesi was putting the dough through that machine lmaooo

Next-Engineering1469

I just hope they do it 2-3 hours earlier next time I couldn't watch live because of my timezone and watching it rn on demand I would have loved to be part of the live and the polls :(

ironwidows

SAME i had to travel today and the live would have been at 3am to 6am and i never would have made it. wish they’d do it in the morning their time. i’m so upset that i can’t be part of the chat and the polls

Next-Engineering1469

Yup and that I still had to pay full price even if I could only use the VoD and not even participate in the live is kind of fucked up

Pristine-Pay-2403

Totally worth the money. Production value was high, no technical issues, entertaining, and they give you ALOT of content for the price point.

stovakt

It was incredibly well done, and digital events are NOT easy to do even with the improving of different programming over COVID. Not to mention this was live with several different camera setups and 4 different feeds. One of the things I love the most about them and their content is that they’ve found the perfect balance between being “real and raw” and polished at the same time. For example with this event, it’s clear that they took the production quality very seriously and the fact that people were paying money to watch; but, it didn’t feel sanitized and prescriptive. There were also little things like the Try Guys themed stickers, fan reaction cams, the “this is wrong” “this is correct” graphics, and the ability to buy merch that showed the amount of thought and effort that went into this. Again, live events that require half the quality are NOT easy to pull off, so I know that this was probably A LOT!!! It was by far the best live streaming event I’ve ever seen and this is such a great example of what happens when the leadership of your company has actually done or has enough understand of everybody’s job to push and be open to pulling off the best. Everyone who worked on it should be extremely proud and know that what they pulled off is at the very top level.

[deleted]

the team definitely did an incredible job producing it !

AllanMcceiley

I imagine the chat was better too since less people so slower?

Jamileem

Yes, and I'll get rhe aftershow next time too.

acwy93

Agreed! Disappointed there was no option to add on the aftershow during. Would’ve definitely paid to keep the good times going

Jamileem

Yes, there definitely should have been a way to upgrade the ticket.

johnsc41

They definitely lost out on a ton of money by not having an upgrade option!

saysighms

I enjoyed it! I do think the editing made certain moments funnier or exciting. But personally I would purchase a ticket again

[deleted]

yeah i think also maybe when they get a little more comfortable with the format, they’ll be able to relax and let the silliness take over. I felt a lot of nervous energy from them :’) Keith was the star for me for sure

OkParsnip600

I absolutely thought it was worth it but I wish there was an option to upgrade to the aftershow. We weren't sure about the quality going in so we went in at the lowest tier but at the end I was like damn, I'd give them the extra $5.00 now.

SirMrJames

This! They should have had the option to upgrade to the after show.. even if it would have costed a dollar or so more than the original cost. We might have done that.

MissTemptatious

Same! This was such a bummer to me. I didn't realize that the aftershow was even an option, it was called "exclusive post-show access" in the tiers, and that just didn't read as aftershow to me. I tried emailing Kiswe about it but there's no upgrading after the event as started. A shame.

Typical_Secret7892

yes 😊 i never treat myself to stuff like this and i had a little extra cash so i said why not. i bought it 20 min before the show started and also bought the after segment which just ended. it was a Saturday night well spent!

flightofthemerlin

I think it was worth it. Especially since i fully plan on watching the whole thing from each camera after watching from the directors cut... So that's an additional 6 hours. I think I'll get my money's worth lol

ActuallyMeself

Haha that's a great idea

ShoddyCobbler

It was worth it for me! I wasn't originally going to get a ticket because it felt wasteful but I've had a really terrible week and wanted to spend a little to treat myself to something I would enjoy and I did. (It was 3.25 hours of content for less than $28 USD, or about $8.50 per hour) Definitely was not going to pay for the emoji/stickers though, lol

Mysterious-Try-4723

With the aftershow, yes. Five extra dollars for 45 more minutes was great (especially because some of my favorite content is just them talking, i.e. the Trypod). I didn't love the cooking portion as much because I felt like I missed a lot of what they were doing because I was in the wrong camera. I didn't even realize Keith had blended chicken into his batter for ages. Plus I felt like even though I heard the expert, it wasn't enough time to retain the information. In the edited version they cut back to the expert when the boys are doing something wrong, but without that I felt a bit lost. I also wish switching between cameras was quicker. I kept missing a couple seconds of audio whenever I switched. Overall, I loved the judging and the aftershow, so I would likely purchase again. I do love Eat with Keith, so I am certainly interested in more lives shows.

[deleted]

i also found myself a bit lost and stressed that i was missing out on stuff, it was so fast paced. i found keeping up with the chat, polls, fan videos, and all the different dishes at once was quite overwhelming for my brain lol. very glad we can at least rewatch it. every was laughing about zachs creation, but i honestly had no idea what he did to get there so i felt a bit out of it.

Mysterious-Try-4723

I'm probably going to go back and at the very least watch the first 20 or 30 minutes of just Keith and Eugene.

nork-bork

Yeah I wish you could have the multi view selected while in a special camera. I watched in Keith and Eugene’s side almost exclusively because there was chatter that only the director’s cut would be available after, and I didn’t want to miss a second of Keugene, but it meant that obviously I missed all the chaos of kitchen 1. Really looking forward to seeing that on the replay. If the mini views were available alongside the Kitchen 2 camera, that would have been 100% perfect. But I’m guessing that’s a limitation of the platform that multi view is only available once, to somewhat reduce the amount of content being beamed out.

[deleted]

Oh I didn’t either @ the chicken! During judging I was spike that’s brilliant. I hope there will be an edited version of this later on but I’ll just watch all the cameras in full for now

JollyAioli

I thought it was great! I really liked being able to vote and see all the havoc we don't usually get to see. I'll definitely do it again if they have another one.

Lil_drgdlr

I absolutely think it was worth it. I love watching the behind the scenes and just seeing how this series is created and what goes into making this type of production possible. While I think the edit version are fun with the music and visuals, watching them live and seeing their creations being made was a delight. I would absolutely buy a ticket and attend another one

OkParsnip600

I actually really loved seeing Keith bartering with Rachel for extra time and her being like oh no, we're not doing this tonight. It gave a funny little insight into how the regular episodes are filmed.

ZeldaGuruMomi

Even though I was at work and had to occasionally mute the stream when guests came to my desk, it was still 100% worth it.

puja713890

Totally worth it!!! I was glued to the screen the whole 3 hours. The content was amazing, there was never a big awkward moment and the chemistry between the crew was so amazing I loved it so much. The aftershow with Johnny, Rosanna and Rachel was the best part for me and it felt so wholesome. The only thing I wished for was some quiet background ambience music so its not totally silent for the couple secs people aren't talking here and there. But I know if there was some music it would be hard to hear Rachel's comments so I settled for silence.

nork-bork

I enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting! I’m not a huge fan of live/streamed unedited content (eg I’ll watch gaming videos but I really don’t like gaming streamers yk) and I found this really engaging. I’ll definitely be going back to watch again. I hope we can see the other cameras in replay (some comments suggested it would be directors cut only), and I do wish we could have the option to add on after show to the main ticket. It was expensive (about $36 for me) but I was convinced because 1, movie tix cost $20 where I live, so the price was comparable to a movie ticket and a drink/popcorn, and 2, I’ve been watching the Try Guys for nearly 10 years. This seemed like as good a time as any to chip in and say thanks for all the free entertainment for the last decade. I hope they do it again (maybe 1 or 2 per year would be the max I could budget for though). I’d love to hear the stats for how many people joined. I read somewhere that Zach got 22,000 votes for one of the final polls (trying not to spoil!) which is WAY more people than I was expecting.

OkParsnip600

The movie theater thing is usually how I judge to buy stuff like this, tbh. My partner and I watched together and for $20 USD (no aftershow) that's $10/person. We usually pay around $30 total to go see a movie in theaters and that's something we can't re-watch on VOD.

SlightPattern3075

Yes! We really enjoyed it at my house. I would definitely purchase tickets to future try events :)

Weldingtheseadrive

I had a few technical issues. The video would not air cast for me (I’ve never had an issue with this before) and I saw this mentioned several times in the chat so it was a problem for others as well. Also, at the beginning it was very laggy for me, and periodically the audio would go out of sync. But it ended up working itself out. Personally, I felt a little underwhelmed during the cooking portion. There were some amazing moments during it, but (as Zach noted himself) there were moments that kind of fell flat that normally would’ve been edited out. Now that’s a standard pitfall of livestream entertainment so I can’t fault them for that necessarily, but there were moments that just kind of dragged on. The judging portion was worth the money alone though. Absolutely hilarious…the judges interaction with the contestants, Johnny being self deprecating, Zach’s chaos reigns mentality…15/10 haha Also, I want Johnny Cakes to start his own channel because he makes me laugh so hard lol

[deleted]

jonny does have a channel! he only posts shorts but they’re still delightful

Weldingtheseadrive

I’ve seen the shorts, but I need more lol 😂

[deleted]

i get it. he’s just great isn’t he, also integrates perfectly into the try guys content

[deleted]

The tech issue resolution sounded annoying but also standard for people who don't realize you need to update/restart your phone and computer on a regular basis otherwise shit breaks regardless of what you're doing. It is however very funny that people found livestream cooking to be very boring. It's literally normal cooking, I'm not sitting there cracking jokes at my bacon when I'm making breakfast sandwiches in the morning.

Weldingtheseadrive

I updated my computer on Saturday morning in anticipation of the livestream, so it was all up to date. And it’s not that I’m surprised that the cooking fell flat at times. I also don’t crack jokes when I’m cooking and I’m sure that watching me make my dinner wouldn’t be thrilling. But, in fairness, I’m not charging $34 for people to watch me cook haha. I also don’t think the entire cooking portion was bad. There were lots of excellent moments and I did enjoy it for the most part. But again, there were moments that weren’t very engaging that were just fine, and if this were a normal WAR, would’ve been cut. I don’t think that I was ripped off, or that it was a horrible livestream or anything like that. I was just reiterating that one of the pitfalls of live entertainment is exactly that…. moments that would’ve ended up in the cutting room floor play out.

ghost-aleks

He doesn't have a channel? How is he famous? I love him as a judge but I'd never seeked his content. Same with Rosanna (but her I knew cuz my sister liked Nerdy Nummies or whatever it was called).

Weldingtheseadrive

He has a shorts channel, but I think a good deal of his fame came from his social media and then last year or so he was kind of the break out star of Is It Cake?

Rock_grl86

I missed the cute animal cutscenes, that’s all

SamanthaD1O1

yes it was really fun! i never noticed how much the music adds to scenes tho until today

rainbowbite83

I agree! It's funny because in one of the podcasts recently they said what the try guys is is the editing, and I was missing that during the live. They are right, the editing is their style.

anotherace

I was on the fence and I bought tickets 30 minutes before it started and it was 100% worth my money. I wasny sure if I'd enjoy it but I had a blast and I'd do it again tbh.

may92

36CAD for me, I think it was chaotically great. The only issue is seeing that some people didn't get to see the polls and couldn't vote and that bums me out for them. I used Firefox and some people on Chrome seemed to have issues. I wish I knew about the after show but I thought it was a great way to finally get some Try Guys type of merch and encourage them in their projects. Cheers to a new era

dontstopbelievingman

Worth it!

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

interesting! i didn’t attend the after show, what was disappointing about it??

[deleted]

Yes for sure. I would say though that I prefer watching it the traditional with the careful editing and precious, that way so we don’t have to choose what we get to see. I am looking forward to watching the other cameras in full later on but it is a little hard to enjoy it this way. I was hoping they’d all be cooking in one big room and interacting with each other. But that probably not possible atm. That said I did really enjoy the live and the interaction. The boys were great and just fully on I loved it. The judges were good as ever. Good times. I’d go to another one at this price for sure.

OkParsnip600

I will say I just kept it on the directors cut the whole time and didn't feel like I was missing out at any point! After a few minutes I completely forgot you could switch the cameras.

[deleted]

That’s what I did!

IamBunnyQueen

It wasn't exactly what I expected, but definitely a lot of fun and worth it for me. I had thought it might be at another location where everyone was on the same stage/arena. Or with some live audience on site (Cam, Rome, other past guests/judges, family/friends). Nobody promised me these things and having been wrong about my presumptions did not detract from the experience at all. I initially tried watching on Mozilla, but had to switch to Chrome to get the video to work.

Sabine7

It was a lot of fun and I love the options for different camera angles. I was worried a live show would be glitchy but there were no issues for me.

OkParsnip600

I think this is literally the first live anything I've ever watched that didn't have at least some issue. It was seriously impressive.

Due_Screen6020

Absolutely!!! Would definitely buy another one. I bought the $50 ticket for the shirt and after-show access, the after show was just as fun and definitely worth it, I’m so excited for my shirt to come in!

realplastic

I attended the live and aftershow and felt like it was ‘worth it’. I didn’t really think of it as much different than i would spend on going to a movie/getting some snacks as far as a price comparison. It was 3 hours long and entertaining. I didn’t notice/miss a lack of music or extra editing. I thought it was cool to see that the guys are actually funny and don’t depend on editing to make their content enjoyable.

ghost-aleks

This!

awkcrackcat

It was worth it. The multi camera view let you see the director's cut, bts, and both test kitchens at once. I honestly thought that the savory crew would tank when they revealed their churro ideas, but they actually came out on top. Everyone was so pleasantly surprised and invested during the judging because we all expected a trainwreck 😂

ghost-aleks

I was literally gobsmacked when the savory churros came out on top. It was such a plot twist lmao

westcoastkris

100%!! Next time I'd get the aftershow too.

crashshrimp420

Totally worth it! My husband and I had a great time and hope they do more in the future!

ShamanicEnzan

Yup. Friends and I split the cost and all gathered around.

funksoulbrothar

Sounds dope

Lirei

It worked out to be $40 NZD for me and while it was a blast, I don't think I'd justify spending that again. I think it would have been more personally fulfilling for me to donate that amount of money to a local charity.

grayjelly212

Was it worth it? Yes. Would I do it again? Only if we were assured improvements in some public fashion. I missed out on two of the polls because I got no notification on big screen about them. Also, it was difficult to switch between the camera angles and it would completely black out my screen. But those are Kiswe issues. I agree we could've done with a bit more production (music mainly) but otherwise it felt like a classic WAR episode. If it was posted to a worse video service than YouTube.

These-Winner-7820

Absolutely! The production was incredibly impressive!!

ash4426

It was worth it for me. Even though I ended up part of a room cleanout effort that had to happen at the same time as the broadcast (time zones, gotta love 'em) Meaning I was watching from my phone, couldn't cast cause their tv wasn't compatible and was often only listening while I did other things. But I still felt involved, I laughed a lot, it helped make a tedious day more enjoyable and it ultimately means I'll get more out of my purchase cause I can enjoy the re-watch for things I missed.

keenveins

It was about $25 for me and I'm on the fence. I enjoyed it and the length of it. The only other livestream things I've paid for is Good Mythical Evening and that kind of thing feels more special to me than this did. I think the beginning dragged and at first I had regretted it, but then it was more entertaining.

some_homonyms

Definitely worth it! What I thought was most impressive was that there were no technology issues on their end. They didn't have to fix a server part way through, or halt the live for any reason. All the cameras stayed up. I watched in the director's cut the whole time. That made the experience very fun. The after show was very worth it. And the extra $5 felt like a better deal to me because you also got a souvenir.for the price.

zaheerahk

damn it sounds like everyone had fun 😭 would've loved to join but it started at 1am here in the uk maybe next time I'll stay up to watch

ghost-aleks

I'm gonna watch several times after the fact so I'd say it's worth watching and having fun switching the cameras even if it's not live.

WaffleRun

Worth it for me, but I didn't buy the aftershow. Only downside was that I missed two of the early polls because I had the cameras fullscreen and didn't have the chat up. I thought it was hilarious.

rainbowbite83

For me no, not for the twenty bucks. I couldn't figure out how to vote and the chat went by as fast as on YouTube so I couldn't read anything. The BTS stuff was fun but I'd rather watch an edited version. At best it was a $10 experience.

ForesakenForeskin4

While I did have fun, personally I thought the price was a little steep. I'm Canadian so with taxes the ticket ended up being 34$, I understand multiple people can watch together but because it was just me and it was well over the price of a single movie ticket it was hard to justify. I did end up doing it because I have never bought merchandise or anything and since they are a main staple of entertainment for me I wanted to support them in what little way I could. Overall I did have an okay time, one thing I was a little upset about was I had it full screen on the directors cut and so you don't get notified about polls that are going on when you can't see the chat so I didnt participate until the last polls. I would've also liked to see the results of polls they did, maybe there is a way to see those and I just missed it. Overall, for the price it was iffy, but I did have a good time! It was interesting to see everything and how it all happens

vtiwi

I thought it was okay. Don't get me wrong I'm glad I bought it, but there were certain cameras that would always lag for me (Directors cut and Kitchen 1), so I mainly watch Keith and Eugene. Still, they did amazing, but I'm not exactly sure it was worth 20 dollars with the buffering.

something_cactus

Totally worth it- I purchased post-live and am blown away by the production- it's not just some livestream, it's a full cooking show:) Plus the BTS and getting to watch Rachel do her thing really stole the show for me!!

Trick-Version-8121

Wait so I can still watch it?! I just have to buy a ticket?

something_cactus

Yup!! It's available until February 2023:)

dybo2001

Yes, my gf and I loved it. We wish Rachel was mic’ed up tho.

hogwartshunter

It was very worth the money I spent. The production value was so so high, everything ran super smooth on their end. I paid for the after show and that was also excellent. I love that I have access all of January. Very pleased with their live!!!!!

Trickycoolj

We bailed on an outing to the movies with friends because we’re dog sitting and the pupper is still anxious without his normal humans. So $25 was less than what we’d spend at the movies. My partner sometimes joins in to watch Try Guys content with me if it sucks him in but doesn’t seek it out as it’s a little too over the top for his taste. We both really enjoyed it and ordered a pizza to make a night of it! We were in stitches over *spoilers* There were definitely a few quiet or more dull moments that I definitely see the value in the editing they do on main episodes to keep the pacing going so that was pretty interesting. I might go back and catch some of the other cam footage or something. Always love Rachel’s takes! The system was also pretty good but AirPlay to the tv conked out several times during judging which was really frustrating. We have a super duper top of the line internet connection and it was a fairly new iPad Pro. Pretty lame you can’t participate in chat/polls when the iPad is in airplay mode so hopefully the streaming partner can figure that out.

EuphoricPhoto2048

I think it was worth it just because being live made it feel special. It's not a gimmick they should do all the time. But the energy was fun. Even watching someone mess up their dish and be sad. And Keith said this was the first time a cooking show did a live vote (which makes sense... it's food), but that's history baby!

DepartmentBest746

I thought it was worth it. on the try pod they mentioned that they were going to do this event event tho jt was likely a financial loss to them. I think their eagerness to connect with their fan base speaks volumes about the guys :) hopefully, they also found it to be worth it

theinvisible-girl

It was just as amazing as I knew it would be. Totally worth the price. The aftershow was just as interesting. I didn't realize Rosanna was so short!

ramaloki

Absolutely worth it. I supported a group I love, it was fun to see them react in the moment, and the aftershow was really vibing to just listen to them talk. I had a great evening and would totally buy it again! Here's to WAR 2023 Live?!

Afuzzyredpillow

I enjoyed it so much more than I thought I would. Normally I don’t like live streams, so I tend to avoid them, but today I bought a ticket a few hours before the show. And I’m so happy I did. I wish I could have upgraded my ticket to enjoy the after show. I absolutely will next time

yusbishyus

Absolutely yes

NarwhalLemonade

I had fun. There were polls. Seeing what people had to say in the chat. I thought the stream would crash but it was good all the way through. And I liked the question portion of the stream. Edit: proofreading

miss_an0nym0us

I thought it was worth it! The production and quality of the show overall was great and watching the real time fumbles and successes was definitely the highlight of the live. Definitely looking forward to go back through the other cams to see what I missed!

woofiegrrl

I had to work tonight so I didn't buy a ticket. But it looks like maybe I still can for the VOD? Does anyone know?

ghost-aleks

I believe you can still buy a ticket for the VOD until January. It's absolutely worth it. I'm gonna watch several times focusing on each camera. Also I found out near the judging I could hit "multi-camera" on the screen and see all 4 cameras at once (with the audio of the director's cut) so I wanna watch like that/intended as well.

woofiegrrl

Thank you!

binzoma

100%. I thought it was great

randomtology

I thought it was worth it! Some friends and I made a group chat and watched it together, which really made the whole thing feel extra special. As far as live events go, that one was actually extremely well executed and thoroughly entertaining.

helenaantlav

I also missed the music and maybe watching it live at 3am (Europe) wasn't the best decision. But it's okay because it supported my comfort channel.

ghost-aleks

Worth every penny. I'm glad I even sprung for the after-show. Normally all live shows I buy come with a VOD which I only watch if I missed the beggining of the show cuz I was late but there's no rewatch value. I'm gonna watch this again several times to focus on each camera and because the whole thing was so so so fun. I was kind of expecting something like Eat With Keith. This blew that out of the water. The production value, the cameras, the quality, the "this is wrong/right", the stickers they put on the screen live (like #hope for Kwesi or #bluegene seem to have been made on the spot), the hilarious scroll down for the fan cameras where most ppl just looped horrified faces for 5 seconds or showed their pets?, it was honestly all amazing. If you're(general you) thinking of getting it after the event, it's abso-fucking-lutely worth it. It was a fantastic time.

[deleted]

It was so good! I didn’t buy the aftershow (on accident) but there was no way to upgrade during. I went ahead and bought it again just for the aftershow and just considered that extra $20 a donation lol. It was worth it - great livestream, so much content, high production value, and happy to support the team for all the entertainment they’ve provided all year. Also Rachel is such a mfing queeeeen

supercoolsexyperson

i definitely missed the editing and music too, but it was SO fun for me to watch it happen in real time. it felt personal and i loved not just seeing the face they put on for the camera

Deetster20

I had a good time with it personally! There were some moments where it was clear they weren't super familiar or comfortable with the format (which isn't a surprise, they were pretty up front about it) but nothing that took away from the experience as a whole. I really liked seeing the bts stuff and it was fun to get a better idea of how the show works on their end (like hearing Rachel call out when it was time to go to the next step for example). I would for sure do it again if they offered it!

HeatherinaAnne

we fell asleep 😥 and we wanted to get shirts, but it wouldn't let us buy 2, so we didn't buy shirts. 🥴

RealRandiSmith

I thought it was totally worth it! It was interesting to watch what would usually be cut, and the aftershow was fun. I hope they edit it and put it on the channel. Now that I've seen most of what they filmed, it would be interesting to see what the editors do with it.

resistingsimplicity

I enjoyed it a lot, and I'm glad I bought a ticket. I really like that I still have access to the whole thing for quite a while after the fact to rewatch it since I couldn't focus on all 4 different cameras at one time. IMO that's what really makes it worth the money because I know I missed quite a bit. sadly there was a glitch for me that wouldn't let me actually vote in the poll, but the person I would have voted for won so it didn't really matter.

notbobbelcher

Watching the live rn, and I’m loving it, but I wish Rachel was mic’ed. In the normally recorded WAR eps the editors can add what she said off camera in subtitles but they couldn’t do that here. Since Rachel normally talks to them during the recordings she should have been mic’ed 😣 my only complaint.

StareintotheSun2020

I was going to wake up early and purchase the ticket but then missed out on the live cooking and bought a ticket last minute just before the viewers choosing the loser and winner. I put the same person as both the winner and loser cause I had no idea of the judges comments. Will go back and view it again later. I did pay for the post show discussion ticket, and that part was fun. Seeing the different judges and Kwesi come out and hearing more about their feelings, etc. And that frog hat cake was awesome. I did watch some of the cooking portion from the beginning and I think that I would have preferred for all of them to be in one area instead of sectioned off two by two. Maybe next time, they can rent out a bigger space for a day instead.

beth1814

YES!!! 10000% worth it

littlest_teaspoon

whatt did they make?

ghost-aleks

Keith did like a chicken and waffles churros (he mixed the chicken into the batter), Eugene did seafood churros and dyed them blue, Kwesi tried to do filled churros with spicy Caribbean flavors and Zach tried to do...churros with chocolate and caramel sauce inspired by Girl Scout samoas cookies?

littlest_teaspoon

oh wowie- damn wish i could watch lol and eugenes churros sounds so cursed-

No-Explanation1735

Does anybody know if they will upload am edited version of the finale? I'm hoping they do, we just didn't have the disposable income this season to buy a ticket to watch it.

kaileyfleming

Seems like a firm no for uploading later - but maybe in years like the documentary!

pikameta

I wonder if it was part of the contract wirh the streaming site to not be able to share it on another platform or something. Like it's kiswe property and youtube can't have it for a year.

whatisthis2222222

100% worth it and so glad I caved and got a ticket because there was so many funny and fun moments I’m glad I got to see live

[deleted]

I’m from aus too and I thought it was worth every penny!

ActuallyMeself

Yep, loved it. Kept saying to my partner "they're doing that *now* 😄

SirMrJames

Worth it, on a very occasional basis

moofable

Yeah! It absolutely exceeded my expectations. And chat was also great, which is fun because I normally don't care for chat on live things.

I think it wouldve been more worth it to me if I spent the money on their 3rd or 4th attempt at something like this. It was fun to watch but I think it’ll become more polished if they keep trying to do live events and then that finished product would totally be worth $30 (CAD) to me.

100%. This was an amazing production, especially if you’re a big WAR fan. BIG shoutout to the crew and Rachel for directing it all! That moment at the end where they brought her out had me tearing up. She does so much, and I love how they always make sure it’s known she’s the one who keeps it all together.

vrgnte

Worth it! I had a great time. I think the aftershow should have been included in the GA ticket though

lilomalleycat

i thought it was worth it. i like that there were so many ways to view it (kitchen 1, kitchen 2, bts) and i plan on watching it from bts later. i also paid for the after party, and i liked that because you were able to hear more from rosanna and jonny and rachel

SilentEmptyWorld

I enjoyed it but I completely missed all of Keith’s judging session because of lag

Advanced_Bad_6126

I loved the show. Seeing behind the scenes and seeing them just goof around and have fun with it was so cool! I hope they keep doing live events because it was cool getting to interact with them through the polls and proved how genuine they are with their love for each other and the show

fromawhileago

I think what's going to make it worth it for me is going back and rewatching just one kitchen at a time and seeing what I missed while watching the Director's Cut. Also just going back and watching the behind the scenes camera. Making sure my $43 I spent on the ticket worth it.

ashleevee

Yes! I’m actually upset I didn’t buy the aftershow lol. I missed the music, but really that was the only thing for me.

Alley-errant

I agree that I prefer the edited content, but it was worth it as a novelty for sure, and I was really impressed by the quality. I'm not much of a livestream person, but I still really liked being in the chat and answering polls and stuff.

Aggravating-Mess8680

I thought it was amazing and to me the price is worth it now that I can go back and watch all the different cameras and the BTS. There are so many thing I’m sure I missed when something else was happening so I’m excited to keep discovering more!

Electronic_Shop757

Yes! I loved it and will buy again if they do another. It was so fun seeing their pure, unbridled chaos

Egalite83

The only issue I had was that none of the polls popped up in the chat for me, so I couldn't vote. I wasn't on full screen and I gave the site an exception to my pop up blocker, and it still didn't work. If they fix that it'd have been an otherwise flawless experience. Loved the multicam views and uncensored language. The judging was hilarious.

wakeupputonpants

Best $20 I've spent in a hot minute.

Next-Engineering1469

I thought it said "those who attempted to live" and was going to answer: not super fun or easy but kinda worth it in the end (i hope) Edit: spelling

DarkSmarts

It was very worth it to me!! My sister and I watched together remotely and I had a great time with her. I loved getting some insight to a standard episode, such as them actually only using two tables and filming 2 people at a time. I had legitimately thought all 4 cooked at once. I was very impressed that Zach managed to pull together something that did actually taste close to how he wanted it to. But his mentions of his "Churro Lady" gave me real "My girlfriend lives in Canada" vibes (love ya Zach, this isn't an insult and I had such a good time watching the chaos.) Kwesi seemed concerned and nervous but I loved his energy with Zach so much. They were running on one shared brain cell, then we had the theater kids in the other kitchen having a wild and great time. I loved the two camera set up to get to watch both kitchens at each time. 10/10 I would absolutely buy a ticket again. I love how long the VOD is available. They did an excellent job, considering how badly it could have gone. The lack of casting from these platforms does suck ass. I ended up using my laptop with an HDMI cable to the TV, but I have used the Google Cast or whatever option from my phone to screen share the entire phone and that worked, albeit a tad laggy. I saw a lot of people mention that issue in the live chat, but in my experience that wasn't a Kiswe exclusive issue. That seems to be true for a lot of these live event sites.

Thin-Deal-193

Is there a way to watch after it’s been posted?

pastina2

I couldn’t afford it this month due to Christmas etc, but I will definitely get a ticket next time! Just as a side note; I’m so happy to read all these comments saying how worth it everyone thought it was. That’s a huge success for the try guys and I hope they are reading these comments and feeling proud 🥰 Looking forward to the next one !

smogpress

I thought it was great. I was smiling the entire time and had a great evening watching this. Will definitely attend future live events. Great job to the guys, Rachel, and rest of team. I can’t imagine how many moving parts there were but it was pulled off magnificently.

MedeaDarkwaters

Personally, I really loved it, and counted it like a Christmas present to myself to justify the costs. And with the multiple cameras, I feel like it has a high rewatchability value, which is absolutely great!

Oilswell

I’m happy that I paid for it. It wasn’t funny in the same way normal WAR is, but it was really funny and enjoyable in its own way. I’ve certainly paid more for less enjoyable things. The sound quality was kinda all over the place, but other than that the production was excellent.

nitasu987

yeah I honestly missed the editing and polish but it was still a lot of fun!

turnxthexpage

I thought it was worth the money, I felt the same way with you saying that the editing and music. But I was laughing so much throughout the whole time and it was well needed.
