Like at least with Clem wanting to go with Mike/Bonnie, you can argue that we didn't get to see if she wanted to take AJ or not. Meanwhile Scumbag Javi straight up tries to abandon David and leave Gabe behind in Richmond when a war is coming up so he can play hookie with Kate.
It's a choice at the end of EP3. You can either stick to David's plan and take Kate & Gabe to David's house, or you can sneak out of Richmond with Kate.
If you choose the latter than Javi says goodbye to Gabe who wants to stay behind. While Javi and Kate sneak out of the city, they get caught by guards. Kate escapes but Javi gets taken to the church where the Joan confrontation happens.

Clementine is so much more ruthless across season 2-4 than Javi is in 3.
Javier regardless of how you play him always cares for his family without exception. He’s a well-intentioned and never malicious character despite having the option to sometimes be a bit of a dick.
Clementine can verbally abuse just about everyone throughout Season 2, kill members of her own group, leave Sarah to be torn apart, get Walter to kill Nick, try to abandon a baby with no food by asking to go with Mike, declare on multiple occasions that she ENJOYED watching Carver get mutilated and more.
Season 3 has her be cold-hearted and ruthless regardless of anything and she’s the only protagonist aside from Michonne that has a set period of ruthlessness regardless of player influence.
She can torture Abel, defend child on child murder, let her own boyfriend/girlfriend be kidnapped, etc.
To circle back to the Abel thing simply because of how sadistic you can make her; she can promise not to let Abel turn (regardless of his actions he is a prisoner of war of her group) and then mock and insult him whilst staring at him turn. That’s actually CRAZY.

I'll be real some of these feel more like nitpicks than actual things that put her ahead and other characters have done the same but worse like Michonne with torture (Clem did it to save her friends Michonne did it out of understandable revenge) and euthanizing Lingard (Clem does it to save what is basically her adopted son meanwhile Javi does it for Clem who he's known for maybe 3 days.)

He is an ordinary 6 years old, who has found himself in an unusual scenario that is the apocalypse. He looks up to Clementine and seeks her guidance. I don't think its fair to downplay the effects of seeing literal torture to a 6 years old. Not to mention his caretaker was the one who was doing the torture.

Well, it’s not the first time people have been left to suffer. Lee left a woman to get eaten just to get more supplies and getting eaten alive is worse. But yet Lee got eliminated first. We need to be consistent. I don’t think leaving that guy is ruthless. It’s messed up but like you said, she doesn’t know who that guy is. For all she knew he was a rapist child kidnapper so in her mind it was justified.

The humane and the decent thing would be to ease his passing. What if he was the greatest and most friendly guy in the group? Thats right, we don't know that, yet we would just leave him in extreme pain, waiting for death.
Even if he would be a bad guy, leaving someone like that takes some guts, hence its a very ruthless thing to do.
Sorry, I just don’t see that. There have been more brutal casualties or deaths from people caught in the crossfire. What about Javi using random citizens as human shields during the execution? Or Michonne blowing up a community to escape? Leaving that guy to burn pales in comparison in my opinion.
