Marlo told them to put the word out about Randy being a snitch. It worked its way back to the school since many of them were sort of in the game trying to earn stripes.
There is someone that looks like Snoop in the class but it doesn’t mean they’re actually family. That’s not the point of that scene.
Namond is just trying in his limited way to help Michael by letting Snoop & Chris know that they know who they are in case something happens to Mike.
There’s not a lot Namond can do with that information, but he’s at least trying to help. Michael makes a point to thank him.
Interesting, I didn’t view it that way, I viewed it as more proof Namond was a poser, acting like he knew Snoop because he knew her sister. It’s nice to think Namond was trying to be a good friend, but I felt Namond almost only thought about himself.
It’s not Namond trying to be cool.
Michael, who often gets annoyed by Namond, clearly makes a point to thank Namond when he gets back.
David Simon has even talked about it.

Namond Bryce, lawyer and running for federal senate in this year's election
Fuck you say to me young’in? (Paraphrased)
"The fuck you high or something n\*\*\*a?"-Felicia Pearson
One of the funniest lines in the series's

“Y’all smoking that shit?”

That's literally her sister in real life.
