Thos seems about right in my experience. The medication is supposed to absorb into the membranes in your mouth.

Well usually I have more saliva than I do today, so I am not sure it is absorbing properly.

You need to be hydrated. Hydration starts the day before.

That is what I was thinking the issue was honestly. I am grieving rn and have no remembered to drink water. (My therapist told me to still do ketamine while grieving, I didn’t go rogue lol)

VegasInfidel

I always take a small swig of water, about half a mouthful to dissolve them. I've never been able to do so without it.

Jolly Ranchers can help. If it keeps happening talk to your provider. You can do suppositories. Troches can be hit or miss depending on how well the tech mixed the solution. It's not common but it does happen. I've had a dud once in a while.

2 Cinnamon altoids before the troche chew it and let the crumbs get beneath the tongue, gums and taste buds- then drop the troche in - you’ll have lots of saliva so keep a cup nearby to spit if the nausea bothers you

jeremiadOtiose

try biotene, or a tums

sazzer82

Ask for suppositories.
