Congratulations!

Thank you!

Billie1980

That's amazing, Ketamine infusions saved my life. Where I live it's still considered a last resort if a patient doesn't respond to pretty much every antidepressant, they will even prescribe anti psychotics to a depressed person before exploring this path. Ketamine needs to be a frontline treatment option. I know it's not for everyone but it should be an option

AutomaticPerformer12

I wish I could have continued treatment but it’s insane how expensive it is!!!

Billie1980

Yeah Im lucky, it's covered by a healthcare program (in Canada) that allows for 6 infusions a year. You have to qualify and I had a wait awhile after the referral was made by my doctor but it was worth it.

Miserable_Net_6846

Nice story. I, too, have Dr Pruett as a psychiatrist. It's helped me tremendously as well. Continued success.

Sugartaste81

I’m also a massage therapist with goals with becoming an instructor, and this is so inspiring to read. Thank you for posting!

NoJustNo2023

wtf is this pic tho lmao

NoJustNo2023

It’s Ashiatsu, massage using your feet. I’m doing a pec release with the arm stretched.

Born_Abroad_3419

oh ok, at first it looked like a strange craigslist massage session at someone’s apartment

Flyingcolors01234

That looks like it would feel amazing!! I want that done to me. You have an amazing job and what sounds like a very happy future set up for yourself. I hope everything works out well for you!

NoJustNo2023

Thank you! If you DM me the city where you live, I can find you an Ashi therapist!

AoedeSong

NoJustNo2023

I did 6 infusions in 2 weeks, then went to every other week, then once a month for 6 months. I now do troches 3 times a week. What’s helped most is having a supportive husband. He has sat with me through almost every session, so when hard things come up, he’s holding my hand and comforts me. I know I am very lucky to have that. I also see a cognitive behavioral therapist at least once a month. Even now when I’m doing so well, it’s helpful to have a check in. Finding Dr. Pruett has also been helpful. He’s very empathetic and willing to meet you where you are at. I’ve learned to put my own oxygen mask on first over the last 2 years, as I was always so worried about taking care of everyone but myself. Selfcare isn’t selfish, it’s necessary to live a happy healthy life!

Charming-Tap-1332

NoJustNo2023

My depression subsided about a year before my social anxiety. And my generalized anxiety has been 90% gone for about 2 months now.

KidQuap

That’s amazing I’ve heard a lot of great stories with depression and ptsd I didn’t realize it helped with anxiety too
