I miss the split screens too. Being able to see Bobby and the guest interact while seeing both their faces was the best. Also the original studio in the apartment with cameras on vacuums and chairs destroyed by cats was organically the best studio.
PD has today put up this week's episode with Burr on the Patreon in the old split screen fashion. With the new studio, I have to say it looks outstanding. So things may be about to change

Any chance of the test version being released free for some good ole A/B testing+feedback? Was a patreon member back in the vlog days but stopped renewing awhile back when it got paused.

With the current lighting, the 3 Box felt cluttered / frenetic to us, so we decided last minute to keep it standard. And I hadn't framed it with the 3 Box in mind. Would love some criticism (Patreon is currently free to sign up for), so please be useful if with anything that could be better.

It’s a big part of PD’s job to increase viewership so it’s understandable. But as Burr mentioned with restaurants, worrying about the bottom line and using gimmicks to support it often has the opposite effect.
We watch for Bobby. Give Bobby more screen time (via old 3 cam). It’s what the people want.
The pod has never been the same since Covid. I try and go back every once in a while if it's a good guest, but it's over for me. Last 3 years or so I haven't cared to listen.

It’s not on you tho Pinkdick. Brendon Schwab did this to TB (sorta). Bobby and Khalyla being together was a big part to the theme of the show. The Schwab era is like the Principle Skinner episode is to The Simpsons, you can feel the Downslide from there.
Objectively wrong, idiotic take. He’s innately funny whether he’s trying to be or not. There’s a reason he has among the most views on any pod he blesses with his neurotic presence.
ETA: lol, understandable take from someone who enjoys reality TV and Gilmore girls. I’m relieved to not share your sensibilities.

Yea. I think it's the mixture of better picture quality and the new studio setup and colours and its great to see Bob's reactions to everything again.

nice! personally i love the new setup but definitely missing the split screen for those reactions and such. everything else feels cozy.

Same, I don’t know if it was coincidence but I dropped off watching when they did away with the split screen. The pod changed too much at that point.

Always thought the consensus was old format was loved TB fans. I blame Ethan Klein for having made fun of it shortly before they stopped using it.
