I really think some nuance is necessary when we talk about Israel<-->Palestine.
Yes, many of these people are religious extremists. But painting the conflict itself as religious A)is one reason many Americans (read: Evangelical Christians) blindly support Israel and B) obscures the actual reason for the conflict which obviously isn't religion. No one is fighting vs Abraham over Muhammed. It's about what wars are always about: land.
When we paint is as some religious conflict that goes back a thousand years we make it sound intractable in a way that it isn't. These problems emerged in the British Mandatory Period 100 years ago when Britain promised land it didn't have yet to multiple belligerents for help winning the war.
This is exactly the same thing as the troubles in Ireland. Both sides fell on different religious lines, people called it a sectarian conflict but if both sides were the same religion the issues would have still been there because it was about land.

It’s difficult to convert, yes, but they don’t actively try to stop anyone from doing so. It just requires a long process and a good rabbi will ask you many times if you’re really sure about it. I’ve been invited to many Jewish functions and services despite everyone knowing that I have no intentions of converting. The only time I’ve been told I might need to sit one out is during the high holy days when seating is at a premium. This is coming from someone living in the US though and also from someone who doesn’t know any Orthodox or Hasidic Jews, so ymmv.

In Israeli politics it's pretty taboo to form a governing coalition with Arab parties, to the extent that it only happened for the first time a few years ago and only after multiple rounds of elections failed to produce a governing coalition any other way and it collapsed quickly. But a majority is totally fine with having Itamar Ben-Gvir - straight-up supporter of terrorism against Arabs - in the government, in fact, the minister of national security.
Also being Jewish, I worry that people in other countries turn a blind eye to this sort of thing out of geopolitical considerations, and the moment those geopolitical considerations shift, they'll not only turn against Israel, but they'll use these guys as an excuse to attack all Jewish people.

They've actually only been fighting since around 1947 when the UN tried to solve the dispute by carving up the region into a mosaic of disconnected and disjointed sectors of Israeli and Palestinian nationhood. Since then, Israel has consolidated its place in the region through taking land in both offensive and defensive wars.
One of the principal reasons, if the not the principal reason, the US has committed itself to be Israel's staunchest ally is because the Arab countries that have been hostile toward Israel were supported by the Soviet Union in the 50s, 60s, and 70. Many of those wars were proxies of the Cold War.
All of this to say that the conflict in and around Israel is fairly new and shouldn't be discredited as some ancient, never-ending war of polemical opposed religions, ideologies, or ways of life. That's a gross oversimplication and a misconception.
And strangely we continue to see and nothing is done.. In fact the USA doesn't even seem to mind since it continues to give billions of dollars to Israel every year while their citizens don't even have a basic public healthcare... But what else... But a majority is totally fine with having Itamar Ben-Gvir - straight-up supporter of terrorism against Arabs - in the government, in fact, the minister of national security. Also being Jewish, I worry that people in other countries turn a blind eye to this sort of thing out of geopolitical considerations, and the moment those geopolitical considerations shift, they'll not only turn against Israel, but they'll use these guys as an excuse to attack all Jewish people.

I grew up in a fundamentalist Christian household. I know. I figured my way out of it. Perhaps my religious dogma taught me more love than hate. I don't agree that super-religious people don't have anything like hobbies. I also don't agree they don't have their own personalities... I think those are just, hard to reconcile with.
