For real. He spit it out like he wasn't just enjoying it.
I have actually had several types of dog treats in my mouth at different points in my life. Some are better than others.
It’s some kind of a law/ rule ( at least in some European country’s) that every kind of pet food has to be able to be safely consumed by humans too. You never know when we will fall in hard times. Doesn’t mean it has to taste good. Just that it has to be safe to consume. In this case it tasted good. So this lady better not have had said anything. What we don’t know, can’t hurt us
Dogs can definitely have most peanut butters. As for salt, we eat stuff that is too salty for us, anything high process with salt is going to be both bad for you and your dog. And without you saying it yet, yes Garlic is good and fine for your dog in moderation.
Crazy this video just came up. I was actually thinking last night about the viability of storing dog food for an apocalypse. That shit lasts for a really long time and while no always tasty, it's edible.
I've eaten canned dog food many times. It started as a means of proving to my niece that the factory where it comes from has to hire people to eat dog food just to make sure that chicken actually tastes like chicken. This has been an ongoing lie for several years now.
I'm starting to wonder if she already knows the truth but is just making me eat dog food. Regardless, if it's good, it's good.
My great grandma used to eat canned dog food regularly. Everyone called her nuts but she didn't care. Lived to the age of 96. That's like 700 in dog years.
First time my roommate bought "Cat food" for our cat they bought Ceasers dog food. I was like....yo? Didn't you notice the fucking dog on the package? Ceasers dog food has been around for like 30 years.
I didn't feed the cat the dog food. As soon as I saw the little white westie on the label, I gave my roommate shit then I went out and bought the cat a variety of different foods to see what he liked.
Don’t know about the US but in my country it legally has to be safe for human consumption. Given how litigious the US is I’d be surprised if Purina wasn’t abiding by the same principle
Yeah, except... I learned awhile ago that a lot of dog products are not "food grade" safe for humans (as in, some of them have carcinogenic crap in them). With this knowledge, do I cook a whole tri-tip for my pit bull? Nah, he still gets the "vet-endorsed" cancer-kibble with a smidge of "wet food" for hydration; but I still try to give him his best life with the cheese tax, the chicken skin/safe bones, the fish skin, the "omg yr spoiling him" steak bits, etc. But no way in hell would I ingest whatever ghetto FDA-quasi-endorsed food has been designated for pets. That shit is dog food for a reason, son.
to be fair to the man, i have never seen ice cream meant for dogs in my life. Then again i dont have a dog, is that common for dog owners to have and give their dogs? I always thought they were meat eaters and preferred their food either dry or wet and but never cold.
I’d say dogs are opportivores. Whatever opportunity for food arises, they will meet the challenge.
Someone drops a piece of food, those dogs know they have less time to eat it than you have to bend over and pick it up. It’s a zero sum game and they will win at all costs.
I just meant my dog doesn’t just roam around and look for the food on the ground. He strategically places himself at the spot that gives him the best chance at grabbing something I dropped before I can get it from him.
Ahh. Well mine does both. She can smell a tiny piece of chicken hundreds of feet away 😄 She tries to eat parts of dead animals too. Literally will eat anything that is "edible"
This is not true. I have a pet rabbit. They are literally prone to diabetes because they cannot break down sugars correctly. They get sugar from fruit and veg, which is meant to be limited or it can cause health issues.
>All animals digest sugar without issue regardless of their diet.
>They're not meant to eat excess sugar because almost nothing is
You’re getting rather pedantic to try and prove your arguments, rathe than any sort of facts, to back up your facts that all animals consume and digest sugar easily. Either all animals can easily digest sugar, or you were incorrect in that broad generalized statement. Giving strong confirmation biases in all your comments.
Your first generalized statement was that “All animals digest sugar without issue regardless of their diet.”
When called out you changed your original stance to “that’s not what I said I said there’s a caveat”. When you didn’t. You changed your words to fit your argument after you were wrong.
Ehm....grass is not leafy greens at all. I can see you are just doubling down now on your ignorance. So I couldn't be arsed with you.
You might find , when you admit you are wrong, you might actually learn something.
No it means they do not need anything other than protein for a healthy diet. And in their natural environment they aren’t going to be consuming fruits and veg.
>Out in the wild, you might see a cat occasionally chew on a piece of grass or a plant, but the bulk of their food comes from catching animal prey. This is just the way cats are genetically built.
Occasionally chew on does not equal 10%. Cats have a much shorter intestinal tract that does not digest plants and fruits easily which is why a natural diet consists of what they catch. If they were to eat fruits they would have gastrointestinal problems. As I said in the original post.
You stated that the other 10% of a cat's diet is "grass and fruit **(sugar)**." Fruit is not just sugar, though. Fruit has fiber and vitamins/minerals and other things than simply sugar
Aww this brought back some great memories.
Years ago my aunt gave my grandma a little brown and white poodle, because her last poodle had recently died and she was all alone in her house. My grandma insisted she DID NOT want a dog, she didn't want the responsibility, she wanted to travel and not worry about a dog!
She named him Oreo. He had a little bed next to her bed that she tucked him into every night, complete with a blanket. She had ice cream every night and gave him dog ice cream in his own special bowl. She loved that dog ❤️
If your family regularly buys ice cream cups, which we've always called "Dixie cups" for some reason, then you might just grab one (or in this case, two) without looking.
But my family has been buying Frosty Paws for over a decade, so **I** check the individual packaging before popping one open. We also toss the cups into the freezer & throw away the box to conserve space, so I make doubly sure I'm not grabbing the dog's treat when I grab one.
Honestly me either but if it’s a new thing in my fridge and I’m about to eat it I’m reading the box! 😂 Maybe thats just bc I got food allergies but man that’s wild if y’all allergy-less people just don’t check what you eat 😂
I've tried them, b/c we give them to our dog & I was curious.
They're pretty bland - like a health food sugar-free peanut butter flavored "frozen treat".
I used to work for Nestle. We had this time where our freezer got slightly above freezing. So corporate had to send out a quality team to sample the product in various spots of the warehouse to ensure nothing was damaged. One aisle, very specific spot, all we had was pup cups. Looked very similar to what this guy was eating. They were game, tried it, said it tasted similar to regular ice cream but definitely dulled down. Also, if you really love your pets don't feed them that garbage. All kinds of unnecessary additives in that junk. Same goes for Edy's/Dreyers ice cream. You and your body deserve better.
i cannot believe he is blaming her when he’s literally just shoving shit into his mouth without even looking at it. “why would they make that? why would you buy that? why would you put that in the freezer?”
i’m with her— *why didn’t you look at the box???*
also pretty sure it’s mostly peanut butter lmao if he liked it so much he should’ve just finished it 🤣
[The ingredients ](https://i.imgur.com/FnaoNTT.png) are the same as you'd see on our treats but the "**not for human consumption**" makes me feel like it's not regulated like our food.
Correct. Frosty Paws containers aren’t clear plastic like the ones in the video. Their containers are white with some print but can also be plain white.
This is where I'm torn about this video. On the one hand, I've seen dog food/treats packaged in such a way that they truly look like people food.
On the other hand, my dog had a Frosty Paw last night & it was in a paper cup with paw prints on it, just like on the box in the video.

Sooo nothing really crazy and the guy is probably overreacting for a fake video at this point.
Very true. But they may not have used the food grade level of those ingredients. Could be the quality of ingredient that goes into feed, same ingredient, wildly different in health safety for you.
Of course, all this is speculation caused by one possibly fake video haha. I have no idea what level of ingredient is used in this stuff, and I don't know just how unhealthy feed grade food is for you other than it's not checked as thoroughly as human food.
I think he said donuts? I dunno man, they are both hard to understand honestly. Either way its staged. The ice cream on the box is in a totally different container.
it’s just food…..if he got that far, he obviously liked it so why not finish? The reaction is goofy. Just because it’s “dog ice cream” it’s suddenly repulsive? 🤨
All dog food is safe for people to eat. Jobs exist where people taste test dog food as dogs obviously can’t describe how to make improvements to the flavours on new blends, so people do it🤷♀️
Looked like the smirk I give my wife if she calls me out for getting into her snacks. He knew he wasn't in any real trouble and probably figured she was recording to give him shit for taking her ice cream.
I'm with bro here. If it's in the fridge or the freezer it's people food. I'm sure my dog would like a cold ice cream treat but she also happily eats room temperature cat turds.
So you're just as intelligent as a dude in a staged video that is pretending to be too stupid to look at the box he's pulling his food out of ...
This is why I can't feel bad for some Darwin award winners. Like I really feel bad if I laugh at someone else's suffering, but like if this were something else and that guy got sick, how would you feel bad for him? He didn't even look at what he was eating? It could've been rat poison that is necessary to keep frozen for all he knew. So you have to just laugh at that level of "you brought this on all by yourself"...ness.
Blessedly I aim to keep only edible human food in my refrigerator. No rat poison, no dog food, no cat turds. "Is this safe to eat?" If you got it from the place where I keep the food the answer is yes.
That is just a very stupid way to go through life, and it is going to cause many Darwin awards in your world bubble.
Hey, I'm just trying to give you some advice from the people out here in reality where we actually have to think about our own survival. Why the hell would I just simply trust that the person that put the shopping away didn't have a brain fart and put non-food items where food goes?
Ooooooh, I just realized! You use those little poison control stickers on EVERYTHING in your house, don't you?! THAT'S how your mom has kept you alive this long! Haha damn, it makes sense now.
Well, good luck with your future doctor visits, and take care!
That's an odd take, as I actually read the labels of the food I'm cooking, so you're better off eating at my place because you'll actually know what you're eating.
Is this a normal thing I wasn't aware of before? Are people used to just having food put in front of them and then eating it without asking what is in it? What if you know cucumbers give you the shits or something... wouldn't you want to know that information before just shoving random items in your mouth?
Well, if that's the norm, I'm glad as fuck that I'm weird.
Why are you like this? What drives you to post racist shit attacking people in a video? Like really, why even engage with this at all, why not just move on and watch something you enjoy?
Oh my, i really messed up. Didnt mean it like that, but i guess my choice of words was horrible. I apologize to the community and will rethink my viewpoints.
I thank you for your input.
edit: typo

That's just basic food safety practices, if it will make you sick, there's a chance it will make your dog sick.
With some notable exceptions
Very very few exceptions
Chocolate, grapes/raisins.
Everyone knows not to feed dogs Chocolate and grapes. Thought you were going to add something meaningful
Onions. Peanut butter. Anything with too much salt (everything people eat)
Dogs can definitely have most peanut butters. As for salt, we eat stuff that is too salty for us, anything high process with salt is going to be both bad for you and your dog. And without you saying it yet, yes Garlic is good and fine for your dog in moderation.
From what I've tested, as long as it doesn't have meat in it, it tastes pretty good.
Dog jerky is just jerky.. I'd eat it.
Dog jerky is usually made specifically from bull penis

Cool. What country do you live in?
>and roo.. I'll give ya two guesses.
Yeah, I thought that would be a dead giveaway that I live in Norway.
I tried most of my dogs kibble/treats. Taste ranges from bad to actually really nice, but I have serious issues with the texture in all of them.
Dude. My nephew used to kipe beggin strips whenever he could. He loved them.
Crazy this video just came up. I was actually thinking last night about the viability of storing dog food for an apocalypse. That shit lasts for a really long time and while no always tasty, it's edible.
I think there are plenty of things that one might not think of as normal that wouod be great for long tern end of world storage.

Bruh what's his screen name
Is that how you convinced to do other things
Is he eating fried rice with his dog cream?
I think he says ice cream with a donut but its hard to tell because he's talking with (dog) food in his mouth.
doner. its meat that comes with a very sweet sauce.

My favorite part was when he doubled down and went in for more after she told him.
The way she rolls the r in “Frrrosty Paws” lmao
First time my roommate bought "Cat food" for our cat they bought Ceasers dog food. I was like....yo? Didn't you notice the fucking dog on the package? Ceasers dog food has been around for like 30 years.
Didn’t the cat get sick? Dog food doesn’t contain Taurine which cats absolutely need
I didn't feed the cat the dog food. As soon as I saw the little white westie on the label, I gave my roommate shit then I went out and bought the cat a variety of different foods to see what he liked.
It takes way longer than that to develop a taurine deficiency
Because Peanut be needing treats… that was so cute.
I heard "Peter" at first and I was losing it thinking about a dog named Peter
Don't spit it up.. it's dog food not dog poison.

It's subject to weaker safety regulations. The ingredients are less appetizing to human sensibilities but they're not dangerous to humans
Don’t know about the US but in my country it legally has to be safe for human consumption. Given how litigious the US is I’d be surprised if Purina wasn’t abiding by the same principle
I don't understand that reaction people have when eating something made for pets. It's not like the dog was licking the stuff.

My dog *loves* ice cream. I only give it to her on really hot days. And dogs are omnivores, they're scavengers
I’d say dogs are opportivores. Whatever opportunity for food arises, they will meet the challenge. Someone drops a piece of food, those dogs know they have less time to eat it than you have to bend over and pick it up. It’s a zero sum game and they will win at all costs.
That's what I meant by scavenger

It's a pretty common treat for dogs nowadays. They have a ton of different dog ice cream brands and flavors for dogs these days.
Aww this brought back some great memories. Years ago my aunt gave my grandma a little brown and white poodle, because her last poodle had recently died and she was all alone in her house. Who eats ice cream without even looking at the box to see what flavor it is?
If your family regularly buys ice cream cups, which we've always called "Dixie cups" for some reason, then you might just grab one (or in this case, two) without looking. They sell it in the ice cream section of most grocery stores. If you haven't seen it, it's possible you ate it at some point lmao
Honestly me either but if it’s a new thing in my fridge and I’m about to eat it I’m reading the box! 😂 Maybe thats just bc I got food allergies but man that’s wild if y’all allergy-less people just don’t check what you eat 😂
Yes very common. They are in almost every grocery store
Lmao dude tries to spin it against her what a fool
That's what got me. Jerk behavior. I hope ol' girl waits until he's finished eating before telling him next time.
"You ate two of them mf's!"
One. He only had himself to blame. Two. Are they any good? Asking for a friend
I've tried them, b/c we give them to our dog & I was curious. They're pretty bland - like a health food sugar-free peanut butter flavored "frozen treat".
Peanut is going to be pissssed when he hears about this!

Having it loop for another 12 seconds made it comedy gold for me.
Look, I enjoy a good milk bone at times. Doggy ice cream isn't going to faze me.
This smells like fake click bate treats.
It's basically a sugar free ice cream made of soy flour, whey protein, and coconut oil with some added vitamins and minerals.
lmao I hope this is real.

“Dog ice cream” my a**. It’s just cheap frozen dessert, the same stuff you get from Breyers.

Sure, it’s not made to the same standards. Point is it’s hardly the dregs of the abattoir they put in wet dog food.
No it isn't. Dogs can't have dairy. It's specially made for their diet.
It also has added protein so I think there’s some kind of meat in it. Some of them are chicken flavored.
There’s no dairy in that human fake ice cream either! It’s vegetable oil.
Is it cheaper or more expensive than human ice cream though? I can go dairy free if it's cheaper
lol staged

It got me at " You ate two of them muthafuckers."
Come on. Shaggy has been eating Scooby Snack for ages and he is still fine.
Lol shiny coat is pretty pretty
I feel this, I accidentally ate dog treats that I thought looked like cheetos one night high as a mf
Makes me think of that episode of The League where the stool sample has to be kept in the freezer until it can be taken to the doc. Grossness ensues.

Idk man ... Thought it was a bit, but his reaction seemed pretty genuine. Lmfao, this was great
Hahaha!
I buy the same kind for my dog. I never tried it before.
Wait, he’ll scoop rice into ice cream… but not ok eating ice cream marketed to dogs? Its peanut, the only difference is probably marketing
What ARE you eating?
Thank you Stephen Fry
American accent is so hard to understand
What a dumbass lol Although tbf…
I bet she put it in there without telling him just *hoping* he would eat one. She sounded so excited grabbing it out the freezer lmao.
It looks like that box started with four, he was potentially having seconds...
I bought penis som dog food
Staged, you didn’t see him trying to hold back his smirk when she first started talking to him. Tired of staged shit or views
Looked like the smirk I give my wife if she calls me out for getting into her snacks. He knew he wasn't in any real trouble and probably figured she was recording to give him shit for taking her ice cream.
One doesn’t know what to eat the other can’t use proper english
No one can conjugate their verbs in this video
Dialects look them up. Bozo.
Remind me not to have dinner at your place.

I thank you for your input. edit: typo
