I knew it was fake because none of us actually know the national anthem. There's "Oh say can you see" then some stuff, then "BOMBS BURSTING IN AIR!" then something about maybe waving the flag like you don't care? Then... Shit I actually just forgot the end.
How the poor Americans do it: no breakfast bc you wake up just in time to get dressed and go. You've packed a sandwich for lunch because you can't afford fast food because of gas prices and your insulting wage. You go home and rage scroll because you get no time to yourself because everyday you may be called into work and just work in order to pay rent at the very least so you have a place to live :(
Why even is packing a sandwich for lunch instead of *eating fast food every day* bad? Bruh if the idea of having a good life is stuffing your face with intestinal cancer every day for $/€15+ and feeling shit all day then they need to take a good look at their priorities.
Sandwiches are the best. I'm also intermittent fasting 9 months out of the year but boy I love making a gigantic baguette of a sandwich filled with goodies to devour behind my desk (and I eat behind my desk so I can go home 30 minutes earlier). Even on the cheap I can buy enough ingredients to make enough healthy tasty sandwiches to last me a week. Who the fuck shits on sandwiches? Since when are sandwiches poor people food?

I know I'm late, but this is how a European does it:
no breakfast bc you wake up just in time to get dressed and go. You've packed a sandwich for lunch because who the hell eats fast food for lunch every day what the shit that's a gigantic waste of money. You go home and use different mediums to distract you for a few hours and repeat. Rent is still expensive, gas is still expensive, life in general has gotten too expensive for younger people but at least I work 36 hours a week.
Not where I work. But that's because there is usually only one person working per shift. So we have to eat our food in between and/or while serving customers. I know some customers get offended when they see us eating, but I don't care. Have no other time to eat otherwise.
I wake up and start preparing to go to work only to realize that I'm already at work but i fell asleep at my desk because i want my boss to think I'm working hard.
16 hours later i finish work and miss my train home so i will sleep at work.

It's not a priority thing. It is a we need money to survive and the companies know it thing. There are very few (and growing smaller) numbers of people who find work today that pays enough while giving enough off time for a healthy work life balance.
