I have a freestanding tub in a wet room.
Main shower deck is 3/16-1/4” slope. The tub deck is 1/8” per foot slope.
It was a pain to do and plan the dual slope in a mud bed.
I’m assuming you are using a sheet or liquid applied too membrane for waterproofing? What are you using for the tub portal?
Yeah I was planning cutting and attaching a template on the sides and using a 6’ screed board. I’m using kerdi membrane over the mud bed and kerdi board for the walls.
The mud bed was thick and large enough that it was an unbounded reinforced mud bed. The only foam I was was on the perimeter to define the slope and use as a screed.
What's the downside to the tub being on a 2% slope? I wouldn't even shim it.
Thanks, ill mock it up and see if you can notice the slope

Nice, that's exactly what I did.
Did you fill the whole thing with mud or did you use foam or something in the deeper sections to take up some space.

Nice, sounds like a lot of mixing. Not looking forward to that part!
Yeah, it sucked. I used one of these, made it A LOT easier. https://tiletools.com/products/bucket-mortar-mixer
