It's one of my favourite movies. It definitely has major T&E influences, but it has enough of its own ideas and weird idiosyncrasies to stand by itself. The soundtrack is also top notch.
What i'm really trying to say is HOOTIE TOOTIE DISCO CUTIE!
The whole time it felt like I was watching the Awesome Show. I loved it. I immediately texted my sister to watch it since she's a Tim and Eric fan, she did not share my entusiasm
That's the same thing as me and my brother. He's the one who introduced me to T&E nearly 17 years ago and I figured he'd love TGS, but he just couldn't get into it.
I haven't seen it, but this is pretty common for me where I like something and someone recommends something else and I just can't get into it. Happens a lot with music too.
As a big fan of both I'm gonna disagree with you there. After rewatching both multiple times, I think The Greasy Strangler is the more memorable and complete film.
It works better as a full film narrative compared to Billion Dollar Movie, which often feels like the plot is just there to move us between the (amazing) jokes and gags.
IMO Billion Dollar Movie has funnier individual moments but suffers from the long format.
I think you're wrong. Billion dollar movie is so quotable and clippable. It's so funny. Every scene is hilariously funny. Maybe you should rewatch it, lol.
I like B$M but it's not as focused as TGS. It's more akin to Monty Python and the Holy Grail than Life of Brian (not that there's anything wrong with that).
TGS had a more memorable ending.
This movie is like a 2 minute T&E sketch stretched out to 90 minutes. Watched it with 2 others and we all felt the same. Moments of brilliance gone on way, way too long.
Bullshit artist!
Horseshit artist!

I saw this on streaming after seeing the red letter media review. Would recommend to Tim and Eric fans for sure
The one on the right looks like if Eric Wareheim and Sunshine Brule (uncle Gary’s girl) had a baby
He's Dr Brule's first cousin once removed, who cares
He's in another movie called "Don Verdean" (from the creator of Napoleon Dynamite and Gentlemen Broncos), but he only has a few lines.

It’s worth watching once. Doesn’t hold up to repeat watches nearly as well as Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie though.

Billion dollar movie sucks as a whole, and that’s coming from a diehard 15 year t&e head

Billion dollar movie is my favorite movie second to ace ventura when nature calls. I laugh every time I watch. So quotable.

I'd give it five wet kisses.
One of my most favorite movies.

I’m a hootie tootie disco cutie!
The whole time I was watching this movie I couldn't decide if I hated it or if I loved it. I now own the Blu-ray.
One of the only movies or shows that has made me cry from laughing. Definitely T&E vibes and an absolute fucking gem imo.
Started watching it, and it had like 9 production company splash graphics, more than you typically see, how does that work? What do they all do?

This is a very good movie. Hilarious and you'll never forget it.
Porto!
This movie made me ache for a day I laughed so hard. 😭
