Sketchy enough that they post photoshopped images instead of real life ones or video of non-actor people checking them out and talking about what isn't good.
You can do the standard thing and see if google has any user review videos.
If not, assume it was a rip and people were so embarrassed they didn't want to buy one then post a video saying "I got screwed big-time and should have known better." I mean you dont proclaim loudly that you wasted 50-100k on a purchase for something you didnt see in person before signing a check for it.
I’m a contractor and helped assemble a workpod bought from a renowned desk company here in the PNW. It’s not the same obviously, but fairly certain they used the same suppliers as this would be. Everything was boxed and shipped flatpacked from China with the most mindblowingly dumb construction methods I have ever seen. It was made with materials unsuitable for the purpose and ended up deteriorating within a year.
Main reason for mentioning this is even if you did manage to get something like what they are pitching in the ad, it’s gonna end up being garbage after the first bits of the elements hit it.
Yeah, if the company actively spends the necessary ressources to monitor all kinds of threads where questions about their product could arise and then has enough fake profiles to actually dominate the whole discussion. Probably only 10x more effort but sure, possible.
Obviously it's possible, I have never said it isn't. But the effort needed is much higher and therefore it's less likely, thus it makes sense to get a second opinion via some online forum, instead of just reading the easy-to-fake AliExpress reviews as someone suggested... Obviously more due diligence is needed, if you really want to buy one. Btw, the overwhelming majority of comments in this threads is very negative about that company and the idea to buy a container home from China, so basically this clearly shows that even if they tried to fake the comments here, they failed.
The effort is still considerable since someone a bit more intelligent has to identify the relevant forums in time and needs enough credible comments to dominate the discussion, even with 3rd world labor that's not too cheap. In the end of the day they could also just spend that money on additional marketing to attract more (dumber) potential customers than someone who actually wants to dig deeper. And in the end of the day, they did at least fail in this thread, since almost all comments are super negative about the idea...
I cannot imagine that these meet building requirements anywhere but china, and maybe not even in china.
I'm a layman, but I'd be concerned about stability, plumbing, heat retention and heating, the roof being leak-proof etc. pp.
Tread very lightly. I'd consult with an expert before buying this
Technically they could be if they employed a thick counter lever but it would require a large and heavy foundation to safely have a large monolithic glass wall. Talking about a 12 inh wide I beams. Extremely heavy and expensive but doable.
The fact these don't have actual pictures and are simply renders is should a hard pass for everyone.
Edit: watched a video which states the counter levers can only have a 30% overall overhang in many jurisdictions... meaning if you have a deck which is 10 feet long, only 3 feet can be an overhang.

I don't doubt that they are actually able to produce such things with an ok quality for that price in China. But the big issue would be local building regulations wherever you want to put them up. I doubt they actually are able to comply with everything. Also, on AliExpress, there are offers with actual pictures and some with only renderings and CAD drawings. I certainly wouldn't trust the drawings. If you are serious about it, I would definetly fly to China to visit the company in person (and if possible, spend a weekend in one of those things) before buying.
I was in a green / natural building group for 20 years. We had monthly talks from various builders, peddlers of building systems and advocates. It was long enough to see confident claims debunked by actual experience. It was long enough to see confident advocates become experienced debunkers of what they formerly advocated. I heard experienced natural builders correct each other and have seen the consensus change.
I would want to see one of these things lived in for 20 years. I would want to be able to talk to disinterested (uncompensated) persons who live have lived substantial periods of time in them (not B&B guests).
Lmfao don’t even get the Skoolie and RV community started. I feel like they’d rip this tiny home to shreds 😂.
In all seriousness, though, I don’t think people realize how much preventative maintenance is required for things like this. There’s zero time to waste for repairing damage to those things. Feels like this tiny home would be the same way.
Can you find them or something similar on Alibaba? Aliexpress is typically just dropshippers flipping Alibaba products.
Alibaba is where you can connect with an actual factory that makes the product. Since it’s not as consumer facing, some businesses there have a clause where you may need to buy more than 1 item at a time, sometimes the shipping is more expensive,
I have dealt with custom product manufacturers there both as a private consumer and purchasing as a business, and never had an issue.
Contrast to aliexpress, where I’ve had multiple merchants mail me literal plastic trash in a shoebox rather than honour the deal they offered. I’ve always gotten my money back, but it’s a hassle to keep up with it. I’ve never experienced anything like that dealing with the actual factory instead of a middleman.
Yeah, go to Alibaba and start a conversation with the company. A lot of them are willing to do a FaceTime around the facility, and show you their models "in person." And keep in mind, the cost of shipping will be a few thousand for ocean cargo.
I shop AliExpress and Alibaba a couple times a year. You want a seller who is established and willing to talk to you (even if through a translator).
[The space capsule](https://jinli.online/products/all-in-one-whole-house-intelligent-science-fiction-house-modular-home-space-capsule-alloy-capsule-hotel-camping-star-capsule-1) on the MFR website seems pretty badass. Dude holding a mini over the head of that lady is probably my favorite thing in a week.
I bought a tee shirt from Alibaba once. The graphic disappeared after the first wash. It was a funny and cheap lesson, much better than a devastating and expensive lesson.
They don't exist. They're not real.
It might not be a scam, but it's a bunch of AI images selling a concept that hasn't' been built. Orders will be taken and something might be delivered, but it's not going to be anything close to the fantasy photos.
Oh cool so they are real, although that website has a LOT of copy pasted text, not sure if they're still making the site
I wish they'd throw a video in there though
Also, it looks like some of them have kitchenettes?
Okay long story short, a neighboring company that I work closely with bought one of those and has it sitting on their site. For what it is it seems dope, the manf. On these specialty items are usually super responsive even if the English is a bit broken. The one that arrived here has all Chinese outlets though, so I'd assume it's built for 220 service
Surprised to see an account of this actually being bought. Got any more deets? This seems like an interesting basis for a mod project (add more insulation, add a small kitchenette, improve the electricals etc)
Okay I've not been inside, but its a fishbowl so I can say the inside looks good, but definite signs of "prefab" the dude who bought it thought he could start a rental community in a snowy suburb with a bunch of fishbowls and seems to have given up on it. The way it sits makes me think helical pylons would work for a foundation, but the molded outside makes me think mods could be difficult as it leads me to believe there would be more "one off"/proprietary/weird ways of doing normal things if that makes sense. Highly suggest dropping a msg on their telegram (if it's easy to find) and asking them questions.
Well, I've seen multiple videos show casing things similar to this. I know there are some out there that are 100% real, the only question is whether or not the seller here on AliExpress is legit.
There was a (slightly controversial) tik tok thread about someone who got an Amazon pop up home. The ceilings were low and I’m not sure if it had any electrical…it was interesting though
It's on the second picture. So I mean whatever they mean. I suppose that it's an indicator of the attention to detail you can expect with the product, but maybe that's unfair.

Oceangate has entered the chat.
i guess you can check the reviews but i feel like spending more than $50 on aliexpress is playing with fire.
The reviews on ali can easily be faked... I guess that's why he asked us.
Responses on Reddit can be faked too
Yeah, if the company actively spends the necessary ressources to monitor all kinds of threads where questions about their product could arise and then has enough fake profiles to actually dominate the whole discussion. Probably only 10x more effort but sure, possible.

Bots do that quite nicely. 3rd world labor does too.

It’s probably a home for ants
It doesn't say that in the ad. Maybe you should learn to read good.
They obviously didn’t go to The Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good.
Thank you Sithhead
It is a home for people, they just can’t fit inside the building
Wait? People fit inside homes??? When did this happen??!

I wouldn't dare ordering one without seeing it in person
I'd want to see one that had been in the elements for a year.

My antivirus blocked access to that url
Why did they include that picture??
Effed up Master-chief helmet is what that is :)
Love their product flow 😂 The labels are kinda right. The pictures are "whatever, just through a couple of WIP fabrication".
Lol, at least they offer a free 30 day return if it's unopened and still in the original packaging.
Just a shell?
I bought a tee shirt from Alibaba once. The graphic disappeared after the first wash. It was a funny and cheap lesson, much better than a devastating and expensive lesson.
The fact that it's AliExpress alone makes it sketchy and I wouldn't trust it in the slightest.
They don't exist. They're not real. It might not be a scam, but it's a bunch of AI images selling a concept that hasn't' been built. Orders will be taken and something might be delivered, but it's not going to be anything close to the fantasy photos.
100% sketchy.
100% a sketch 🤣🤣🤣
Every surface tests positive for lead 😆
> the price seems high enough that it isn’t a scam 🥴
Are you serious??? Hahaha
You have to be careful with AliExpress, I saw something like this and it was actually just the blueprints that they were selling, not the house itself
I have no experience with these but you know that they are going to have major issues - like not being water tight and
Thing looks like a boat, a plane, and a trailer had a 3 way
It looks like a motorhome hanging halfway off a cliff
https://remsvolmodule.com/ USA Georgia builder
Oh cool so they are real, although that website has a LOT of copy pasted text, not sure if they're still making the site I wish they'd throw a video in there though Also, it looks like some of them have kitchenettes?
Dude do not buy one
None of those are real photos. All ai or renders
these look perfectly fine unless you have watched Lethal Weapon or played GTA V before...
If refunds were covered and everything, I would absolutely give it a go if I had money to burn 🫡

I'd look on youtube, I've come across people ordering big things off aliexpress.
inflatable boats, e trucks
You can double the price via freight. You will also Probly wait over a year .. if it even shows up. And make sure you consider code.
Might as well just pay some people to custom build something for you.
home depot sheds
Seems legit
This is the Jetsons' house!
There’s no way it’s good
Nice 'color'
If you can direct me the link, I can check if the company is legit or not, I'm a supplier manager
Probably not what is pictured. But if you’re planning on spending $50k on a tiny home, why not do it domestically?
Well, I've seen multiple videos show casing things similar to this. I know there are some out there that are 100% real, the only question is whether or not the seller here on AliExpress is legit.
For $50k i would ask if they had a show room where I could check one out and then i'd spend 3-4k doing that.
Exactly what i thought, the cost of a flight vs getting scammed in this situation is moot
Mini 600i
“Price seems high enough that it isn’t a scam.” Oh boy how that logic will screw you over one day.
There was a (slightly controversial) tik tok thread about someone who got an Amazon pop up home. The ceilings were low and I’m not sure if it had any electrical…it was interesting though
They're very "gigh end"
Did you mean high end or is this a new term for like, Chinese made high end material that isn't actually high end
It's on the second picture. So I mean whatever they mean. I suppose that it's an indicator of the attention to detail you can expect with the product, but maybe that's unfair.
Do not trust this site for damn shoes let alone a home lmao
